(This story will start when you are a child and go up to adulthood.)

Thirteen years ago (You and Rock Lee are both seven years old)

You were born into a very powerful, wealthy family. You were the oldest, and being the oldest, there were rules. You had to be the very best at everything you did. You had strict rules to follow, and if you didn't, your hair would be cut short. If your hair was cut short If you were a girl in your family, it meant you not only disgraced your family but also dishonored them. They were extremely strict with you, making you endure torture, abuse, and neglect. You never knew what love was like. Your two younger siblings, both boys, got hard training, but they excelled while you struggled, making you unwanted. You were still forced to train daily, do schoolwork, learn edict, how to household, what qualities a good wife must have, and more.

At the age of seven, you snuck out for the very first time and went into the woods. At that time, you were living in the Hidden Leaf Village and had no friends because you were homeschooling. You went outside when it was dark and sighed weakly. It was a warm night, and your hair was to your shoulders now because it had been cut due to failing a test about what a housewife was supposed to do.

You asked a simple question, making you fail because you spoke before you were told you could. You were sad and barely smiled. The light in your eyes was gone, and you just wanted to be left alone.

"If I can not do one hundred pushups, I will do two hundred punches!" You heard a voice declare on the warm night.

You went deep into the woods, and to your surprise, you saw a boy with braided black hair training away. You were hiding in the woods watching him. He needed some work, but he was training hard. You wanted to say something, but you weren't good with people. Your opinions were never valued, and you weren't allowed to talk unless spoken to because your parents thought you were a stupid idiot. They didn't hide the fact they thought so little of you.

You blushed a bit because you didn't have what he had. You tried to persevere through your faults, but you didn't know if you could. He was trying when no one was watching him, but you noticed.

You started sneaking out more at night to watch him, then you would take what you learned from him and try it at home only to be met with failure. You even started to notice a blond-haired boy was having issues, too, but was training all the time, and no one was watching him but you.

You started to watch both boys, not trying to be creepy but working up the courage to talk to them so you could try to help them. You knew you weren't the best teacher, but you wanted to let them know you liked how they were trying to improve. You never got that compliment, so hopefully, they will be better than you did. You snuck out again to see if Lee was out, and sure enough, he was. You didn't know his name, but you wanted to.

You were hiding in your typical spot when suddenly, you felt a sneeze coming on, so you tried to stop it, but then you sneezed, making you panic.

"Hello?" Lee asked as you stayed still.

You thought you were hidden well, but then Lee found you, making you almost scream in terror. Being caught meant many things, including your parents finding out you had been sneaking out. The beating was going to be brutal, which scared you.

"I've never seen you around before; who are you?" Lee asked as if you were going to say something, but you were too scared to say anything.

You were ready for him to hit you, but he never did. He saw you were shaking in pure fear of him, so he sat down next to you.

"My name is Rock Lee; what's yours?" He asked. You looked at him, still a bit scared.

"It's Y/n Moon," you said as he looked at you shocked.

"Wow, your family is really powerful; your brothers are a grade and two younger than me!" He said as he looked at you.

"Why haven't I seen you?" He asked, as you didn't say anything.

"I'm privately trained," you finally said as he smiled.

"Must be nice," he said as you looked at him.

"I like your hair. I can't get my hair that long ever," you said, seeing his braid.

"Why?" He asked as you didn't want to answer that question right now.

"You know... if um... if I were your enemy, I would go after your hair because it's long. Even though I like it, it should maybe be cut because I can do this," you said as you got in front of him and grabbed his braided ponytail.

"Oh, you're right, but I can cut it during battle," he said.

"You're right. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset or question you," you quickly apologized.

"Don't worry about it; I think it might be time for a haircut soon. Thank you for your advice!" He said, making you look at him, shocked.

"You like my advice? No one ever says that to me," you said as he looked at you confused

"No one?" He asked.

"No one even asks me for my opinions either," you sighed as he sat beside you.

"How do you like this weather?" He asked, making you inwardly panic.

You didn't know how to say your thoughts without taking them back due to fear. You were never allowed to talk unless told to speak, so talking to him alone was a big step for you.

"I um... I like it?" You said more like a question, "Should I not like it? Should it be cooler?"

"Do you like it or not? Whatever you say, it won't be wrong, I promise," he said as you were extremely nervous.

"It's not a trick, is it?" You asked, making him look at you weirdly.

"What trick? I just asked you a question: are you alright?" He asked.

"Yeah..... I just... I never get asked questions about my opinions. This is different. I'm not even allowed to speak to you because you didn't allow me to," you said.

"You need permission to talk? Why, that's stupid. You can say whatever you want around me! I'm going to help you with your people skills and train at the same time! I will learn to multitask!" He said as you jumped at his sudden outburst.

"Okay?" You said as you realized what time it was.

"It was nice meeting you, but I got to go home," you said as he smiled.

"Okay! I'll be here next time we meet!" He said happily.

Over the month, he was trying to teach you how to be confident in yourself, which was hard since you didn't have confidence in yourself. But slowly, you were getting it and becoming more assertive. The light was starting to come back to your eyes, and even when your father cut your hair for failing, yet again, you didn't cry about it.

"Nice haircut," Lee said as you looked at him softly.

"Cutting my hair means I disgraced my family. I failed a test," you said as he paused.

"You failed a test. People fail all the time. It's a part of learning," he said as you sat down while he trained.

"I'm a failure; that's all I am to them. I wish I... I wish I could leave," you said.

"Why don't you? From what they are telling me, they aren't good for you at all. You didn't even know how to make an option because they don't respect you. One day, you will have the courage to leave," he said as you sighed.

"Lee, after tonight, you won't see me again," you said as he stopped training and looked at you.

"You are leaving?" He asked.

"Yeah, nice haircut, by the way," Yu said as he lost his braided hair.

"Why are you leaving?" He asked.

"Because I'm useless, so we are moving to find a better teacher for me," you sighed weakly.

"You can stay with me! You don't have to go with them!" Lee said.

"Me and Sensi Guy will help you!" He said as you smiled weakly.

"My family won't let me go ever. I don't want you to get hurt. They won't just hurt you, Lee. They will make sure you never do jutsu again," you said as he sat beside you.

"We can tell Guy Sensi!" He said.

"I will still end up with them one way or another. Thank you for giving me a voice. I'm going to miss you, Lee," you said as you hugged him close.

He made you feel like he was part of your family. Now, you were never going to see him again. He was like a brother to you, and you craved the attention he gave you because he wasn't hurting you. It was good attention and not bad, something you always wanted and needed.
