Gone: (Ao3 Request) Seely Booth ×Daghter Reader (Platonic) part 3

The sun was starting to rise, and no one had any idea where you were. They couldn't go back and look at the footage of you to look for clues so they were stuck at square one. But Hodgins stayed up all night running tests on plant materials as well as bugs and slime. Wendell and Angela stayed at the lab along with all the interns going over everything again and again, hoping they would find anything. Wendell didn't smoke, but he wished he did at this moment. He missed you and blamed himself for not taking you home. He was there for your birth, there for your hockey games, spelling bees, and other events that were important to you. He watched you when cases were hard, and they had to stay up all night. He was like your second dad. Even when he got married, he wanted to be a part of your life.

Booth was looking at pictures of you and trying to keep his cool, but he was angry. He wanted you back and felt like a terrible father for not being able to protect you from his job. He was thinking about getting a safer job, but after doing this job for so long, he didn't think he needed to quit. His heart was broken, and he didn't know if he was going to find you alive.

"Found something!" Hodgins yelled, waking everyone up.

"What is?!" Temperance asked.

"These plants are from Missouri. However, we found this guy here," he said, making your mother confused.

"That's far away. Are you sure they are strictly in Missouri?" She asked.

"Some can be found in Kentucky, but this plant here, in particular, can only be found in Missouri," he said.

"Is that a road?" James asked as you nodded.

"Yeah, come on," you said as you were helping him along.

"We need to take a break you especially," he said.

"We take a break; we die," you said as you felt weak, but you didn't care.

You made it to the road and started walking on the road. Finally, you found houses, but then you heard a gunshot. A kid was walking on the road with his air pods in. He had short black hair and snake bites. By the looks of it, the guy had never seen sunshine before because of how pale he was.

"Get off the road!" You yelled as he wasn't paying any attention.

"Y/n get him off the road!" James said as you set him down and ran over to the guy and tackled him.

"What the hell?!" He asked you to take out his air pods.

"Where is your house? Me and my friend James and I got taken off the street and need a way home, and a psycho with a gun is chasing us!" You said as he looked at you and then at James.

"Hi! Sorry, she tackled you. She's intense sometimes," he said as you looked at him.

"Sorry, I'm about to have a meltdown or pass out, I am in a lot of pain right now," he said as you went back over to James.

You picked him up and carried him to the guy you tackled.

"Where is your house?! If I have to ask you one more time, I'm going to drag your pale ass!" You said as he heard a gunshot.

"It's the last house on this street. I have never seen you guys around. This town is rather small, so where are you guys from?" He asked as you didn't say anything.

"I have been up all day, I have seen things that would make you cry, and I'm also on the verge of a meltdown. Don't talk to me right now," you said as he saw your clothes covered in blood.

"Is that blood yours?!" He asked.

"Does it look like I'm dead?" You asked.

You went to his house and put James down.

"Give me your phone. I need to call the police, someone," you said.

"Service here is spotty at best. Also, we had a nasty storm, so most of the roads here are flooded. It will take an hour and a half for anyone to get here," he said.

"Are you serious right now?!" You asked.

"Why do you think I'm not in school?" He asked as he gave you his phone anyway and called your dad.

You sighed weakly, waiting for it to go to voice mail, but he picked up.

"Booth," he said as you paused.

"What street is this also state and zip code," you said.

"143 Carney Street. The city you're in is Herman, zip code is 65041," he said.

"Dad, listen to me carefully, 143 Carney Street, Herman Missouri 65041!" You said as he froze.

"Y/n?" He asked, shocked.

"We need an ambulance. Seven people are dead. A classmate of mine fell into a trap, but he's fine. He's with me. There is at least another person with a gun coming for us," you said as the phone got cut off. You tried calling him back, but there was no signal.

"Fuck!" You said.

"Did you say seven?" The goth kid asked.

"Seven? Y/n you saw seven bodies?" James asked.

"That's not impotent! Look, I need knives. I need to lock your doors and windows and find a way to contact the police!" You said.

"I'm moving to Washington DC in two days. I don't have a lot of stuff here anymore," the kid asked, making you freeze.

"Where are you moving to?" You asked.

"Washington DC," he said.

"What sport do you play?" You asked.

"How did you know I played a sport?" He asked.

"He's a target too, isn't he?" James asked.

"Will you please explain to me what is going on?!" He asked.

"My name is Y/n. I'm captain of my hockey team," you introduced.

"I'm James. I'm goalie on the same team," he said.

"Lucas, I play ping-pong," he said.

"What? That's not a sport," James said.

"It is a sport but you have to work out a lot, don't you?" You asked.

"Four times a week not including gym days at school now. What is going on?" He asked

"We are being hunted like animals. We were brought here for a sick game, and you were a part of it. He knew the streets were going to flood, and he knew this place was secluded. He knew I was smart enough to make explosives to get out and was hoping I was going to find you both. He's going to kill us one by one and see which one survives," you said.

"Okay, you are crazy, look I'll call the police once my service comes back. You guys get some sleep, I'll make sure no one comes in." Lucas said.

"I don't need sleep. I need to make a plan to save you guys," you said.

"Take a deep breath, look. I know you're scared, but guess what? We are involved now, so you are not alone. You talked to your father. I'm sorry I called you crazy you have been through a lot, and you are being chased by a madman. Just take a nap, and I'll call the police. I will lock all the doors and windows as well," he said as you sighed.

"I'll help you lock the windows and doors," you said.

"Okay, but be careful. I have bugs hanging on the wall in picture frames. They are just pictures," he said.

"I have skulls and a bug collection myself also. I'm more worried about the guy chasing us than your bugs," you stated.

"Okay, I'm just saying," Lucas said as James lay down.

"Have any advil?" James asked.

"James!" You said as you were locking the doors and putting a barricade up with the very little furniture in the house.

"What I broke my leg! It hurts, and I have a hangover!" He complained.

"I don't have medicine here right now," Lucas said.

"Have any guns, knives, anything like that?" You asked.

"My dad has guns in his truck. We have knives, a single pan, and some utensils, but as I said, I'm moving soon," he said.

6 will make do with what we have," you said as you went upstairs and started locking the windows even though it was a second-story house.

"Wait, don't go into my room. My father will kill me if..." he paused as you saw a naked girl in a magazine and a towel on the floor.

His room was also a mess still so he unpacked some of his stuff for this particular magazine.

"Hey!" He said as he closed the magazine.

"Her boobs are fake. I hope you know that," you said as he looked at you shocked.

"What? No, they aren't. Wait, how do you know that?" Lucas asked as you pushed him out of his room after you locked it behind you.

"My mom works with bones, and I know about half of all women have breasts, either different shapes or sizes. Mine aren't the same. It affects half of all women," you explained as he looked at you oddly.

"I don't know whether to be impressed or turned on by that fact," he said.

"Touch me, and I'll put you in the ground," you said.

"I am turned on by you, gross. I just met you. I was turned on by the fact. Not by you knowing said fact or by you. I'm into older women," he said as he went to the bathroom and pulled a book off the vanity.

"She's hot," he said as she pointed to your mom.

"That's my mother," you said.

"What, no, she's not," Lucas said as you held the book to your face.

"Oh, yeah, now I see it. I lied. I don't think that at all," he said as you rolled your eyes.

"Yeah, sure. You have a Stacy's mom problem," you said as you nearly tipped over your own feet, going down the stairs.

"Trust me?" He asked.

"No," you said as he rolled his eyes.

"You are supposed to say yes!" He said as he picked you up and carried you downstairs.

He put you on the loveseat and got some blankets.

"Here, get some sleep. I'll watch for my dad and anyone else," he said.

"Keep away from the windows. Also, where is your mother?" You asked.

"She's in DC already she is working at the Jeffersonian in three days," he said.

"Wow, okay... where exactly?" You asked.

"Oh, she's not a scientist like yours she is just a tour guide," he said.

"Why did he choose you? He must know you," you said.

"My dad is a vet, retired," he said.

"So is mine," you said.

"My dad was a pilot," he said.

"Okay, so nothing else in common," you sighed as James looked at you oddly.

"Have you ever considered that maybe he just wants to hurt your parents? I mean, your mom catches bad guys. Your dad is FBI, so I mean, if he knows them and hunts kids your age, it's like he's killing you over and over again," James said, "I read your mom's books. There's porn in it."

"I have Playboy magazine," Lucas said.

"Sweet," James said.

"Boys," you muttered.

"Look, us single guys font have much, we have porn, sports, video games, and nothing else," Lucas said.

"Facts, man, I'm going to pass out," he said.

"I wonder why you're single," you said.

"It's because I came from my dad's left nut because I'm not right in the head. Also, it's because I have giant balls, and I mean the size of dinner plants," Lucas said as you laughed.

"You are trying to keep me calm, aren't you?" You asked.

"Yeah, because I rather you not tackle my dad," he said.

"Fair, I'll take a nap, but make sure if anything happens,  you wake me up," you said.

"I will don't worry. I don't think the guy will find you out here," Lucas said as he flipped his hair and checked his phone to see if he got a signal.

You laid down and went to sleep rather quickly, and Lucas saw you didn't cover yourself up all the way, so he covered you up and James up. He was hoping whoever was after you was gone, but he didn't think it was over yet.
