Gone: [ Ao3 Request] Seeley Booth × Daughter Reader (Platonic)
Lucas was on his phone for about half an hour, trying to get a signal until the power went out to the house. He slowly got up and was going to go to the window and check what was going on, but he remembered you told him to stay away from them. He went to you instead and woke you up, making you almost slap him in response.
"The power went out," he said as you got up slowly.
"It shouldn't be out, should it?" You asked.
"No, not unless someone hit a pole. You should get your friend upstairs," he said as you got up and was about to get James when the window shattered.
"Flash grenade!" You yelled as you pushed over the couch with James in it, and you made sure Lucas filled as you all went over the couch, and it exploded after you covered them.
"What the hell was that?" James asked.
"Get him upstairs now, Lucas!" You said as Lucas quickly grabbed him.
He picked him up and carried him up the stairs. You hid behind a post and heard glass crunching under someone's boots.
"Her tracker says she's here along with the boy," you heard a male's voice say.
"Tracker?" You muttered softly.
"Y/n, come on out, you pretty little thing," he said as you took a deep breath and looked around the corner to see a guy with a gun in his hands.
It was a shotgun making you look up the stairs. You took a breath and hoped God was real because you were going to do something stupid. You tried to sneak to the kitchen, but he saw you.
"There you are!" He said as he tried to shoot you, but he missed.
You grabbed a pan and smacked him with it, then grabbed all the knives you could and started throwing them at him. He got hit with one, but he pulled it out, and you tackled him. You tried to get him to let go of the gun, but he was stronger than you and slammed you hard into the wall and hit you with the butt of the gun.
"Downstairs now!" You heard another man growling, and the man with the shotgun smiled and dragged you by the hair into the living room.
He made you kneel, and your two friends were forced into the living room as well.
"Mr. Willing?!" Lucas asked, shocked.
"Gym teacher and hunter. Should have guessed," you said as he smacked you across the face.
"Let them go! Are you crazy?!" Lucas asked as the other man forced them to kneel.
"Leave Y/n alone!" James said as the other man stepped on his already broken leg.
"You don't tell us what to do, little boy. She is awfully pretty," the other man said.
"Please don't touch her," Lucas begged as you tried to fight him again, but he hit you again.
He grabbed your arm and pinned it behind your back hard.
"It's okay... just don't look okay," said softly as his gym teacher smiled.
"Why not?" He asked as you were preparing for the worst.
"She's pregnant!" Lucas said as James looked at Lucas confused.
"Pregnant? That's your reason?" He asked.
"That's a damn good reason! You sick fucks, you want to hurt a teenage girl! She could be your kids' age!" James growled as the second guy hit him and enough to get knocked out.
"Don't you dare touch her!" Lucas yelled as his gym teacher grabbed a smaller gun and picked you up.
"Make him watch," he said as Lucas tried to help you, but he was pinned down to the floor.
He dragged you out, and he had the gun to your face.
"We are going to have some fun," he said as you got your free hand and started fighting for the gun.
He was going to shoot you in the face, but you ended up shooting yourself in your already pinned shoulder. You took his gun and shot him in the face, making you both fall backward.
You lay on the ground, shocked that you just shot someone, and realized you killed another person. During your fight, Lucas managed to head, but the guy who was holding him down kicked him off. He punched him in the face and hit him hard with the gun, knocking him out.
He heard gunshots and saw you lying on the ground.
"Y/n? Are you okay?" He asked as you were trying not to cry.
"Y/n?" He asked as you moved your legs off the dead body.
You did a thumbs up with your good arm, and he ran over to you.
"Y/n, you got shot!" He said as you sat up without saying anything.
"Hey, it's okay, everything is going to be okay," he said as Lucas hugged you, and you started crying.
"Let's get you cleaned up, we need to figure out why I can't get a signal. Do you think they put a jammer somewhere?" He asked as you nodded.
"Okay, let's get you inside," he said as he helped you up, and you tried to calm down.
You had to help him take care of the guy that was on the floor. You grabbed some of the blind cords and tied up his hands and feet, then helped him get James off the floor, and then the couch turned back over so he could lay on it. You found the cellphone jammer and smashed it, then Lucas called his dad, then the police. He bandaged you up as best he could, and James woke up, you were deathly quiet, and Lucas grabbed an anime blanket to put around you.
"Everyone is going to be here in an hour," Lucas said as you nodded.
"Fuck, are you guys alright?" James asked.
"Yeah, I think Y/n is in shock she isn't talking," Lucas said as you were looking at the dead body in the grass.
Lucas was trying not to freak out, but internally, he couldn't believe you killed someone or the fact his gym teacher was a psychopath.
"You know I should have known something was off with him," Lucas said as you looked at him.
"There was no way you could have known he was like this," you said as he smiled weakly.
"I top in my weights class, and he seemed nice to me almost too nice. Also, he was nice to girls with Y/h/c. He was always hunting, too. Took some time off for it sometimes. He always brought back trophies to hang in his office. Mostly like a feather or something from a bird or a piece of the deer he killed. I guess he got tired of it and wanted something more challenging," he said weakly.
A little while later, his father was there and got out his shotgun to make sure no one else was around. You stiffened, but Lucas went out and talked to him. He saw the dead body in the yard and saw you traumatized from everything that happened. You were used to seeing dead people but on a table, also not kids your age. Just adults. It was rare for kids to show up at the table unless they were gone for years or something along those lines.
Your parents always protected you from things like this, and now you were living it. His father went to check on your wound, but you wouldn't let him touch you. Two men tried killing you, and both times, you killed them.
"You are in shock. It's okay, it's why I retired from being in the Air Force. There's no shame in it," he said as you heard the sirens coming.
You went to the hospital and refused treatment until your parents came. You didn't want strangers touching you and Lucas as well as James stayed with you, along with Lucas's father. His service dog that was in his car was sitting with you, and you wouldn't say a word to anyone, not even the police. The police were getting irritated with you, but Lucas's father got in the way and almost yelled at them for getting too close to you. You killed two people, and he knew fully well you might attack them by accident.
You refused to talk to the psychiatrist there, and just by looking at you, he knew you had seen shit. The three of you were sitting together. Lucas was trying to take your mind off things, but you were remembering the seven dead kids you saw on the mountain you were on. James tried, but you were in deep thought, so they started with you. All three of you ended up staying in the same bed because you refused to say anything, and the police wanted answers as well as reporters.
Lucas and James ended up cuddling you, and your parents arrived three hours later.
"Y/n?" Your father yelled as he ran down the hall to your room.
You woke up, and Lucas quickly fell out of bed terrified. You shot up, and your whole family from the Jeffersonian, including some of the interns you came close with, were there.
"Hi! Um, if you need me, I'm going to be... somewhere," Lucas said as he got off the floor.
"James, wake up," you said as he got up weakly.
"Morning already?" He asked.
"No, my parents are here," Yoo said.
"Sup, I fell in a pit," he said as he smiled and then got in his wheelchair.
"We will be outside if you need us, okay?" He asked as you nodded.
You had a mental breakdown and told them about the seven bodies you saw and how to get to them since you marked them and also warned them about hunting traps that were around. You also told them how you killed two people and how you met Lucas and James.
Two weeks later, you were back in school, and James was now your best friend. You looked rough still, but you looked better at least. You and Lucas kept in touch, and you three had a lot in common. Lucas started school up but kept it a secret to surprise you.
"You know what's even better about not playing hockey anymore?" James asked.
"What?" You asked.
"Losing all my fake friends. Lost them as soon as we became friends. After everything we have been through, we better be friends," he laughed.
"Trial is in two weeks, nervous?" You asked.
"No, just worried about you. You had the worst of it," he said.
"Yeah, but I'm glad you didn't. They are going to call me a murderer," you said as he looked at you shocked.
"Like they know what they are talking about. Idiots, I'll beat them with my crutches," he smiled.
"So how was you coming out as bisexual to your Christian family?" You asked.
"Oh, you know, they said it was shock from everything even though I told them I kissed Steven from the hockey team and liked it. We are secretly going to date here soon," he said with a smirk.
"Then why is he sitting at the cool kid table?" You asked.
"Because his parents are unreasonable and want him to date Sherry. She's a snobby rich cheerleader," he said.
"Oh," you said as Steven came over with his tray.
"Can I sit here?" He asked as Sherry looked at him shocked.
"Yeah, sure," you said as he sat by James, and Steven blushed.
"Hey, so I broke up with Sherry," he said as he kissed James on the cheek, making the girl he was dating start to tear up from embarrassment.
"Oh, you know everyone is going to hate us, right?" He said as Steven rolled his eyes.
"Oh well, hey, we will be the hottest gay couple at school," he smiled.
Lucas snuck into the cafeteria and had something for you that was covered up.
James saw him sneak up on you, but he said nothing until Lucas covered your eyes with his hands.
"Guess who this is," James said as you sighed.
"Dad?" You asked as James burst out into a fit of laughter.
"Dad? I prefer Daddy, actually," Lucas laughed as you got up suddenly and hugged him.
"Lucas! I didn't know you were going to come here!" You said.
"Well, I wasn't, but....,' he said as he pulled out a picture of an ant in a Sombrero along with a mustache and maracas.
"I thought you would like my artwork,' he said as you smiled.
"This is great. I love it," you said as he saw your arm in the cast.
"Still in a sling and cast?" He asked.
"Yeah, fractured it not bad. I didn't even notice it," you said as Sherry walked over.
"You must be new! I'm Sherry," she smiled.
"I am, but no thanks, I like nerds. I am one myself also. I don't like girls who have pounds of makeup on their faces. May I also add that I like classy girls? You touch my friends, and I'll knock you down on your ass," Lucas smiled.
"You wouldn't dare hit a lady!" She growled.
"I would because believe it or not, there is such thing as equality and self-defense. I will hit you if you hit any of my friends. Nice talking to you, I guess," he said as he brushed her off, making you laugh.
"She's part of the cool table. You will be shunned forever," James said.
"And o got my home boys here," he said.
"Oh well, I'm better off here," he said.
You three were now inseparable, and your group grew larger when everyone realized you three fought off a serial killer gang. You accepted that everyone was different and didn't even judge. You learned how to play ping pong once you were better, and Lucas creamed you several times until you hit him in the balls by accident with the pale after you let go of it.
You continued to go to the lab, and your two closest friends went to mostly yo hang out or do artwork with random things like mold.
You were writing a report in history about ancient civilizations, which was nearly impossible because you had no help but tons of books to go through since your uncle Wendell was going to make you do it the hard way.
"Hey," Lucas said as he entered your mother's office.
"Yes?" Your mother asked as Booth seemed to be in the middle of a conversation.
"May I use some of that glowing seafood mold for a project in my science project?" He asked.
"It's being used in a case right now," your mother said.
"Oh, okay, is there any way I could learn how to grow it?" He asked.
"You will have to ask Doctor Hodgins about that also, yes," she said as she was going over some paperwork.
"Hold on, yes?" Booth asked.
"Thank you," he said as he was about to leave.
"Yes, for him to date Y/n he has been showing interest in her. He comes over every day to play video games and watch movies with us as well as Parker. Just please don't have unprotected intercourse," she said.
"Um... I just. I just wanted the mold.....," Lucas said as Booth looked at her shocked.
"He's not dating here. They are too young!" Booth said.
"You said you already had three girlfriends at this time and slept with all of them," she said.
"I... I am going to leave," Lucas said as Lucas saw you working and smiled.
"Hey," he said as you were going over a book.
"Hey," you said as you looked at him.
"So... your mom said yes," he said as you smiled.
"Great, I know you have been interested. I'm the mold," you said.
"Um, actually, there is something else she said yes to," he said.
"You using that high-definition camera?" You asked.
"No," he said as he gave you a piece of paper that was a puzzle.
"A puzzle?" You asked as you quickly started figuring it out because it was easy.
"Will you go on a date with me?" You asked, confused.
"Yeah.... I want to," he said awkwardly.
"Is it happening?" Sweets asked as he saw how awkward you both were being.
"It is, I can't tell if it's going well," Brennan said as Wendell and Angela started watching you too.
"I at first it was hero syndrome, but he didn't start liking her until after she hit him in the nuts with the ping pong paddle by accident," Sweets said.
"Seriously, that. Why that? It couldn't be anything normal it had to be that," Booth said, annoyed.
"We bonded over solving murders the way they bonded is more normal than what we did," Brennan said.
"Right," Booth said as he saw Lucas blushing up a storm.
You kissed his cheek, and he hid his face in embarrassment.
"Did I miss it? Oh, it looks like it. Can you believe your little girl is into goth guys who like photography?" Serroyan said as Booth sighed.
"No, I can't," he sighed weakly.
