While you were walking, you got sick with the flu. Inosuke made fun of you for it, and that was until you passed out from forgetting to drink water. Your parents took you home and asked your brother to take care care of you. Inosuke was worried about you but didn't show it as much as possible.

"Steven, stop that. You can't lift that," Inosuke said, annoyed as your little brother was getting water for the house.

"I can too! Y/n does it all the time so I can do it, too!" He protested as Inosuke looked at the water in the buckets and saw his reflection.

"Ahh! Why the fuck do I look like that?! Is that my face?" Inosuke asked as Steven looked at him oddly.

"Well, yeah... I thought you were a girl at first," Steven chuckled.

"Okay, I'm going topless," he said as he took off the top and was only wearing pants.

"Y/n said you have to wear it because she didn't have time to clean your clothes yet," Steven said.

"Well, she will have to get over it. She isn't the boss around here," he said.

"She is. She's the oldest," Steven corrected as Inosuke rolled his eyes.

"Well, she can be the boss of you; she will never be the boss of me!" He said proudly as he grabbed the two sticks holding the buckets of water and started to head home with them.

You were washing clothes or trying to while you were sicker than a dog. When Inosuke saw you outside scrubbing clothes, he got angry because you told him to rest, but you weren't.

"Hey! You can wash clothes, but I can't even get water?!" Inosuke groaned as you saw him carrying water.

"Steven, I told you not to let him carry the water, I gave him seventeen stitches! You said.

"I can do whatever I want to!" He said as you got up annoyed.

"They will rip you, idiot!" You yelled.

"If I can't get water up here, then you can't wash clothes," he said.

"You can't tell me what to do I'm. your doctor! This has to be done," you said.

"I'm fine! You passed out, and you need rest, so sleep!" He said as you crossed your arms.

"No! I got stuff to do!" You said as Steven gulped.

"I can do the laundry while you both rest. You two are cranky," Steven said.

"I'm not cranky," you both said as your brother took the laundry away from you.

"You're sick, get some rest," Steven said as you sighed, then went to go lay down.

"You listen to him but not me?!" He asked.

"It's because guys like you have been trying to marry her for a while. She is very stubborn and refuses to marry anyone. She even turned down a really powerful guy in our village; he's super rich and powerful. He got so mad at her, but he's still trying to get her attention," he said as you sat up.

"Hey, don't tell him that!" You said as he went into the house.

"Go to sleep," he said.

"No, you can't make me," you said as you coughed and sneezed.

"You will get sicker if you don't!" He growled as you looked at all the stuff you had to do.

"I have too much stuff to do," you said as he rolled his eyes.

"So what it will be there when you wake up," he said as you lay down.

Inosuke took the opportunity to lie down next to you and put his arm around your waist.

"Now you have to stay down!" He laughed as you struggled to get free from him, but you were too sick to fight him.

"Let go of me!" You yelled.

"Not until you're asleep!" He said as you were about to head-butt him until you remembered he had a head injury.

"I hate you," you said as he smiled.

"Ha! I win!" He said as you got comfortable and fell asleep within ten minutes.

Inosuke thought he was going to stay awake, but he fell asleep, pinning you down. Your parents came home to your brother doing all the chores he could as well as Inosuke and you being dead asleep. Your parents were shocked, to say the least, but they were happy Inosuke was taking care of you.

After a week, you were better and now were trying to force Inosuke to take a bath. You made the bath water nice and warm, but Inosuke was contouring himself, so he wouldn't go in.

"Come on, forest, get in!" You said as he was still fighting you.

"No! I'm not getting in there! I want to bathe in the lake!" He said as you were struggling to get him in.

"Your wounds will get infected! Just get in!" You said as he downright refused to go in.

"I will go to the lake! If you put me in there, I'll pee in there!" He said as you glared at him.

"You better not! How about this, you get in the tub, and I make you fried fish later," you said as he stopped fighting you for a second.

"That does sound good... No! I know what you're trying to do!" He said as you purposely fell into the bath, making him get in.

"Hey!!!" He yelled as you looked at him, annoyed.

"Well, this wouldn't have happened if you just do what you're told, your stubborn bullheaded boar!" You said he looked at you shocked.

"You can't blame me for this!" He said as you got out, and you threw a towel at him.

"Take those pants off, and I'll dry them here with some extra clothes and some soap. You better use it, or I'll wash you myself. I have seen plenty of men naked in my life, so this wouldn't bother me at all!" You said as he looked at you, disgusted as well as shocked.

"You wouldn't dare!" He said as you grabbed the soap and was about to get in when he started to panic.

"Okay! Okay! Okay! You're crazy!" He yelled as you tossed him the soap.

"You bet I am, I'm a doctor after all," you said as he took off his wet pants after you were about to leave.

He threw them at you and laughed even though they didn't hit you.

"Jokes on you, I don't wear underwear!" He laughed, thinking you would get grossed out.

"Neither does my brother and half the guys in town. Men," you sighed as you picked up the wet pants and left the room.

You smiled a little bit, hoping to prove to him that no matter what he did, he was going to listen to you eventually. You had to stop him from hitting his head on trees since he thought that was going to get his memory back, but it didn't help. Also, you had to bandage him up again because he did it twice before you were able to stop him. He had been with you for two weeks, and he was just as stubborn as you were. For some reason, he could remember fighting and being able to contort himself, but yet not his name.

You didn't mind it, but Forest was something else you couldn't describe with a single word. You could see why he lived through whatever attacked him, which made you happy and yet sad because he lived through the attack only to have no memories of his family. They must have missed him a lot.

"Y/n, can you go to town and grab dinner? I have to go to the Davis's house. She is going to deliver her baby soon, so I have to be there," your mother said as she gave you some money and a list of groceries to get.

"Okay, yeah, I do that," you said as you realized your brother went with your father someplace.

"Hey Forest, want to go to town with me?" You asked as he was getting out of the bath.

"Hey, I'm naked!" He yelled as you looked away.

"Well, maybe you should put some clothes on," you said as he put some clothes on and went over to you.

He was trying to be menacing, but you bopped his nose.

"You're as scary as a tree," you said as he looked at you annoyed.

"I don't want to go to town with you," he said as he turned his back to you.

"Okay, it shouldn't be dark when I get back, but I'm going to light the lanterns in the woods," you said as he turned around quickly.

"Never mind, I changed my mind," he said.

"You know you worry me, the woods seemed burned in your mind. Maybe we can bring you back where we found you sometime," you said as he crossed his arms and looked away.

"I'm not scared of the woods," he said.

"Seems like it," you said as you headed to town with him.

"Okay, we are about done," you said as Inosuke was carrying some of the bags. You had brought.

"I don't remember being here ever," Inosuke said as he looked around and noticed how beautiful it was.

The sun was going down, which made him nervous, but it would still be a while until nightfall. He looked at you while the sunlight hit you just right, making you look pretty. He was speechless for a second while you were looking at the list and crossing things off.

"Don't need that, don't need that," you said as you looked at some of the bags you got and triple-checked.

"Well, hello, Y/n. When did you get back into town?" A man that was double your age asked, making you roll your eyes.

"Not interested," you said as he huffed.

"Come on, I am the richest person in town!" He said as you turned around to face him.

"Good for you, but you're poor in spirit. I don't care about money, you know that. You do, though. I want to marry for love, not riches. You and your brother need to get a grip. I'm not marrying either of you ever," you said he grabbed your arm as you tried to wake away.

"Let her go now!" Inosuke growled as the man chuckled.

"You are going to marry a guy like that?" He asked as you forged him to let go of you, then you punched him in the face.

"Ow! Fuck," you said as you held your hand in pain but shook it off.

"You bitch! You are going to pay for that!" He growled as Inosuke punched him harder, knocking him out.

"Forest! Don't just hit people!" You said as he picked up all the groceries.

"You hit him first. Let's go home; It's getting dark," he said as you two started to head home.

"You told your mom what happened, and your parents were happy that Forest was there, but you were now worried for his well-being. That guy was rich and powerful, but he never won you over. Several times, he tried, but you rejected every gift he tried to give you and every advance he made at you. You all headed to bed after dinner, but for some reason, Inosuke found his way outside. The forest still bothered him a lot, and he felt something was out there, but he didn't know what. He had his sword and was waiting for something that didn't seem to be there.

"Forest, what are you doing out here?" You yawned as you woke up when your brother kicked you in the back.

"Something is out here. I just don't know what it is. I feel it," Inosuke said as you sighed weakly.

You sat next to him and looked at him.

"You went through something horrible, I don't know if it was an animal or a person and an animal, but you are safe with us," you said as he looked at your badged hand.

"I need to teach you how to fight. You almost broke your hand," he said as you rolled your eyes.

"Tomorrow, just come back to bed. If you want, I can hold you until you fall asleep. My brother likes it when I do it when he's scared," you said as he looked at you annoyed.

"I'm not scared!" He protested.

"Fine, just come back to bed," you said as you were about to go back inside the house when he grabbed your Kimono.

"Can you still..." he paused as he looked at you a bit nervous.

"Yeah, I can don't worry about it," you said as you helped him up.

"Thanks... I just don't know. Something in the woods doesn't seem right. I feel it, but I don't know what's bothering me," he said.

"A person, maybe, look, I don't know what you went through, but it looks like an animal attack. But that doesn't mean someone didn't dive you in there. There are no such things as monsters or demons, so it is likely a person. Maybe they were planning on leaving you for dead. But you got up and were trying to head home. Either way, I'm not letting anyone take you home until you remember what happened to you," you said as he smiled.

"Thanks," he said as you brought him inside, then put the sword up. You laid down, and then he laid down next to you.

You held him close to you so he would sleep, and now you were secretly worried about what was in there that he was so scared of.
