Be A Man: Mezou Shoji × Reader Part 3
Few people understood your training, mainly because you kept doing it even if you fell. You wore five hundred fifty pound weights and had an extra hundred pounds weights with ropes on them, and you were using them to climb a tree. When you slipped and fell, you got back up and tried to go further. When you asked Izuku to train with you, he initially hesitated but did it anyway because he was trying to be excellent.
"I don't want to put more weight on you," Izuku said as you looked at him, annoyed.
"Izuku! Put on the extra fifty pounds on me now!" You said as he panicked.
"I don't know why, but when you say my real name, it's more terrifying than if you yell my nickname," he said as you rolled your eyes.
"Izuku!" You yelled as he put the weights on you.
You were sweating and slowly didn't do one push-up. You had to stay still and plank after you couldn't do any more push-ups. But after four minutes, you couldn't do it anymore and collapsed.
"Oh no! I told you this was too much!" He panicked as you got the weighted mats off.
"I just need to work up to it," you said as Izuku smiled.
"If you say so, I'm going to go back to what I was doing if that's okay," he said.
"Yeah, it's fine," you said as you went to Mezou, who was on his workout bench.
"Need some help?" You asked as he stopped and looked at you.
"No," he said as he continued to do what he was doing.
"You sure?" You asked.
"Yeah," he said as he looked around to see if anyone else needed help.
Since no one needed help, you decided to rest next to him. You and he were quiet, which made it awkward, but you didn't mind. Suddenly, you felt something was off, and you put your hand up, catching one of the weights that somehow slipped off, and Mezou kept the other weights from hitting you and himself.
"I did ask if you needed help," you said as he took the weight from you.
"Sorry, I was trying to put them back, and it slipped," he said as he put the weights on the bench.
"It's fine; accidents happen," you said as Aizawa called all the students back inside.
Once back inside, you were assigned a work-study buddy. You drew names out of a bucket, got Shoji, and named The Postman, whoever that was.
"Hey Shoji, want to go to the store before we go to our work-study?" You asked.
"No, thank you, I'm okay," he said as you saw Denki and Izuku getting ready to head to the store.
"Hey, you two heading to the store?" You asked.
"Actually, yes, want something?" Izuku asked.
"I'm going with you to get stuff. Last call, Shoji. Are you sure you don't want anything?" You asked.
"I'm sure, thank you," he said while reading his book before going to work study.
You headed out with Izuku and Denki. It was pretty, and Izuku, how laid back you were. You had bruises up and down your arms from training today and other places on your body. You weren't bothered by it, but Izuku was concerned for your well-being.
"Those bruises are bad, Y/n," Izuku said as you smiled.
"This is nothing. I have had worse," you said as Izuku looked at you, shocked.
"What? Why do you train like that?" Denki asked.
"So I can handle the big boys. My dad always told me there is room for improvement, and I will improve until I can't improve anymore," you smiled.
"The big boys?" Denki asked as you heard yelling.
"Great," you said as you went over to the noise, and you saw Greg with a brick and two other people.
"Greg, you idiot, what the hell are you doing?!" You yelled, scarring him and making him drop the brick.
"I locked the keys and my phone in the car, and my twins are there!" The mother cried.
"Yeah, like an idiot!" Her husband yelled.
"Y/n?" Izuku said as you sighed.
"First of all, don't insult your wife. Second of all, help her raise the kids because they are also yours. She looks awful, and you look like you came out of a damn magazine, so fucking help her. Third if all Geeg, you dumb fuck! The kids are in the back seat! You are going to get class all over the babies! Watch and learn," you said as you got your lock pick set out of your pocket and went to the car.
You went to the door handle and saw there wasn't a keyhole. You checked under the handle and saw a small opening and stuck your tools in. After a few seconds, it popped off and revealed a place for a key. You smiled and slammed your tools into it quickly, ckly opened the door, and unlocked the car.
"Thank you!" The mother cried as she went to the twins who were crying.
"If he stops coming home, he's cheating on you. Also, if he changes the password to his phone, stops eating at home, and avoids other stuff. Just warning you now," you said as she stood up quickly.
"Wow, that was awesome!" Denki said.
"Yeah, for a criminal," Greg said.
"Well, at least I wasn't trained to pee my pants every time I get knocked out or get boners when I'm scared," you said as you hit him in the junk.
"Frank, you are cheating on me?!" The woman yelled as you smiled.
"We better go," you said as you quickly took them to the store.
"Where did you learn to do that?" Izuku asked.
"My dad, he is, well, was a gang leader," you said as Izuku froze.
"A gang leader?!" He asked.
"Yeah, don't worry, he's the nicest gang leader out there. I'm not even his kid; my dad was a one-night stand. I just can't hit my dad because he practically raised me while my mom was working a twelve hour long job and being a prostitute on the side," you explained as they looked at you, shocked.
"What do you mean?! A gang leader?" Denki asked as you gave them an odd look.
"So the massive tattoo didn't give it away?" You asked as you got some snacks for Shoji and some ingredients to make things.
"No! Y/n, you are in a gang?" Denki asked as you rolled your eyes.
"Look, I'm not in any gang; the gang leader took me in as his own. Everyone in that gang is nice and goes on the straight and narrow. They taught me their skills so I could be a hero. You guys are very not observant if you guys didn't know he was in a gang," you said as you put stuff in a basket.
"So you learned how to be a criminal to be a hero?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah, I don't know why you don't learn basic skills like that. Most heroes would live longer, in my opinion," you said as you followed them around.
"So you're a hero but the mindset of a villan," Denki said, confused.
"Sure, I guess; come on, guys, hurry up," you said.
They finished shopping and headed back to the school. You and Shoji went with the Postman on your work-study. The Postman wasn't teaching you anything but talked about the top heroes. He wasn't one of them, so you got the short end of the stick.
"This is make out point; it has a great view, and it's near one of the busiest bridges. Beautiful, huh?" He asked you looked over at him.
"I'm underage. Talk to me like that again, and I'll stab you," you said said as the Postman put his hands up.
"I didn't mean it like that!" He said.
"You took us to Makeout Point; you wanted us to make out, or you were trying to get us in the mood. I don't appreciate it," you said.
"He didn't mean it like that, Blades," he said as you looked at him.
"Doesn't matter how he ment it; taking underage kids where people are known to be doing the dirty here is not great," you said as you got out a hair tie and started to put your hair up.
He looked over at you with all the car lights shining dully from where they were. You looked beautiful; he only wished it matched your personality. You weren't bad, but you were bad enough that he would never consider dating you. You leaned over and watched the cars pass by.
"Need something, Shoji?" You asked.
"I'm looking over there, not at you," he said as you looked at the darkness.
"Nice call. We can get hit out of the blue," you said as you watched the cars.
"Hey Mezou, do you see that car?" You asked as you pointed to a car that seemed to be moving faster than the others.
"Yesh," he said as you watched it and took out your binoculars.
"It's picking up speed, and it's going over the lines," you said as you gave him the binoculars and started heading to the bridge.
"Where are you going?" Mezou asked.
"Well, that car is speeding, and it's doing some dangerous stuff," you said as yiu took off and headed to the bridge to make the car stop.
But before you had a chance, the car hit another car and then went over the side of the bridge.
"Fuck!" You said as you jumped over the side. The car was sinking fast, and once you looked in the back of the vehicle you saw two kids in the back.
You saw a woman trying to get out, and you waved. You swam to the back and got out your grappling gun and shot it in the air. You connected it to the back and pushed the button to retract it, but it wasn't moving. You hit the button repeatedly, but it weighed too much, so you went to the front of the car and tried to push it up. You didn't want to choose between the kids or their mother. If you broke the window, it would only be a matter of seconds before the car would comply fill, and everyone would die due to you having to swim back to shore.
Mezou saw the rope and grabbed it, and started to pull it as hard as he could, but he was starting to slide backwards. People started helping him and started pulling the car up as you were planning to break a window. You noticed the car rising, and you started swimming and trying to push it forward.
You grabbed the grill of the car once the car was going up, and you slowly started rising out of the water. You got into your tool belt and grabbed some magnets. You started going up to the passage side of the car and broke the window to let the water out. You went to the back and broke the window near the oldest boy, and you heard a baby crying.
"Hey guys!" You said as you crawled in and cut the boy's seat belt and the baby's seat belt holding the car seat.
"We aren't going to die, are we?" He asked.
"Well, have you ever had a piggyback ride?" You asked as you went went to the magnetized and moved them.
"Um, yeah," he said.
"Great! Come here, okay, so I'll get out, and I'll help you get on top of the back windshield, okay?" You asked.
"What out there?!" He asked.
"Yes, out there," you said as you got out, and the boy reluctantly went out, and you helped him on the windshield. You grabbed the car seat while the mother was having a brake down in the front seat.
"Please help me," she cried as you looked at the car seat and tied it to your waist.
"I'm getting you next; just hang on," you said as you carefully took the car seat out and went on the back windshield.
"Come on, piggyback ride time. Don't let go of me, got it," you said as he put his arms around your neck and you tied him to you with some rope you had in your belt.
You quickly started climbing the rope and saw Shoji and Postman trying to hide the car in place because they couldn't pull it anymore.
"You got to hurry y/n!" Shoji said as several people got out of the car and started playing tug of war with the car.
You cut the kids free and quickly went for the mother. You cut her out of the car, but she had to freestyle going to the rope and had to climb it herself while you followed her. The car suddly dropped a bit and you looked up and saw the cable was breaking due to the cable running on something sharp.
"Tentcole catch!" You yelled as you cut the rope where you were holding it, and the car dropped, and so did you while the the woman went flying into the air screaming.
You hit the water and made sure you landed next to the car.
"Blades!" Mezou yelled once he put the woman down and realized you weren't there.
He looked over the side and saw nothing, but then a grappling hook went straight up in the air, and he quickly made his tentacles go out and grab the hook and promptly started pulling you up as fast as he could. You grabbed the rail and looked at him, worn out.
"Nice job! Your quick thinking saved two kids and their mother. Good job, really," you said as he didn't think he did anything but hold the rope with a bunch of random people.
Ambulances came, and the mother was trying to stop the baby from crying, but it seemed like she never held a baby before.
"Here can I?" You asked as the woman hesitantly gave you the baby, and you started singing and bouncing her around.
You went over to the boy, and he looked scared, but he looked fine otherwise.
"You doing okay?" You asked.
"Yeah, thank you," he said softly as he held a blanket tightly around him.
"Say, is that woman your mom? I'm just curious because she looked like she was having some issues with holding your sister," you explained.
"She's not my mom; she knocked out my babysitter and took me and the next door ladies' baby. My babysitter normally watches us both on Tuesdays," he explained.
"Really? Anything else I should know?" You asked.
"She threatened to kill me if I said anything; please don't tell her I said anything," he begged, "she has a gun."
"Huh, interesting. You know what I am, right?" You asked as he shook his head no.
"Well, I'm a hero, but most importantly, I'm my father's daughter, and he taught me how to help people who can't help themselves. Hold her for a minute," you said as you grabbed a cop.
"Talk to the kid and take his statement," you said as you went over to the woman.
"When can I take my kids and go?" She asked as you smiled.
"Your kids? Do you mean the kids you took? They aren't yours, are they? You know, I noticed when you were stuck in the car you were only worried about you and not them, and surprisingly, you did amazingly well at getting out of the car and climbing until I cut the rope. Plus, you don't know how to hold a baby at all," you pointed out as she pointed a gun at you, which you quickly disarmed her of.
You emptied the chamber and took out the clip, then struck her across the face with the gun, knocking her out.
"Idiot, you do now when wet; most guns can't fire, right?" You asked as you looked at the gun.
"Ah, who am I kidding? Most guns you can, but still, you would have better chances of using a shotgun underwater than doing a cheap trick like that and killing me," you said as you grabbed a cop and gave him the gun.
"Here she had this on her. Oh, and if you want to not look like a rookie cop, don't look so scared," you smiled as you walked away and sat near Shoji.
You heard his stomach growl, so you got into your utility belt and got out a small tin. You upended it up and revealed the takoyaki you got from the store and gave it to him.
"Here, you deserve it," you said as he looked down and looked at you, confused.
"How did you know this is one of my favorites?" He asked.
"Shoto, also, I do pay attention, you know," you said as The Postman approached you quickly.
"You were amazing out there! Ready for your interview?" He asked.
"Put a sock in it already. Look, all you have done is talk and not done a damn thing here hardly. I appreciate your little contribution to helping, but make Tentlecole do it. My interview will go like this: Tentlecole did most of the work and deserves the credit. All I did was postal whip a kidnapper across the face after saving her and the two kids. If he didn't do what he did, I'm sure I would have had to make a choice, and all my options would end up with someone dying. So now justice can be served, and the kids can go home to their parents," you said.
"Care to add anything?!" A reporter asked as you looked behind you.
"God damn it. Fuck off; I will break your camera if it gets close to me, got it? Close is within three hundred feet, by the way," you added as you made throwing knives.
"Blades," he said.
"Are you two dating?!" A woman asked as you got up and took the notepad she had in her hand and tossed it onto the water.
"No, you I said go! I do bite, you know," you said as he was still recording and not leaving you alone, so you grabbed the lens and crushed it.
"I said go, didn't I? Do you want to end up in the water with the car, or do you want to have children down the road?" You asked as he smiled weakly.
"What kind of hero are you?" The female reporter asked.
"I'm the kind that gets their job done and doesn't want their whole life on the internet to see. If you want to talk to people as the regular people and this guy, not me, because as far as I'm concerned, they are the real hero, not me. I almost killed someone other, maybe two people, or worse, all of them. He made it possible to save all threw, not me," you said as they backed off quickly, and you sat down again next to him.
"You are the one that saves everyone," he said.
"No, I gave you the tools to do your job. You did better than expected and even helped me out, which I wasn't expecting, honestly. I do appreciate it; next time when I need help, I will be sure to ask you," you said as you unzipped the front of your site down to your pants.
Water leaked out, and you started air drying out a bit.
"Want a blanket?" He asked.
"I'm fine, thanks," you said asvhe looked away but heard people taking pictures, so he got a blanket anyway and covered you up out of respect.
"Photographers," he said as you rolled your eyes.
"Perverts," you said as you lay on the road.
"These are good, thank you," he said as he gave you back the tin.
"Thanks, I just picked some out. I didn't know what you liked," you smiled as you looked up at the stars.
