-(Y/N)'s P.O.V-

It's been about a few months since I was reincarnated in this world. Everyone doing their own thing. While I, on the other hand, did nothing, but to just wander to myself...and right now, I'm in my room bored...pretty bored...

(Y/N): *Sigh* What the hell am I gonna do? I'm bored as hell.

Although in the mansion, it's just me, Jack, and Megumin. While Rin aka my Big sis, Kazuma, Darkness, and Aqua went off to their own thing.

(Y/N): Geez...what can I do? Eat something? No, that's lame. Walk outside...? Too boring. Make myself a story by my own words? Nah, weak...

Jack: Well, can we go on a quest?

Jack suggested. 

(Y/N): Nah, that's boring.

Jack: Sorry for asking.

(Y/N): It's okay, sweetpea. I'm just bored, that's all.

Suddenly, the door open as Jack and I turned to see Megumin.

(Y/N): Oh, Megumin. What brings you here?

Megumin: Well umm...can I...

She was nervously fidgeting around before she started getting confident for a few seconds.

Megumin: A-Ahem! Can we go on a date?

This surprised me.

(Y/N): Whoa, slow down there. I'm not ready for a relationship yet, Megumin.

Megumin: N-No! Let's just PRETEND that we're dating.

(Y/N): Oh, you mean...like a hangout or some sort?

Megumin: Y-Yeah! 

Megumin says with a huge blush on her face.

(Y/N): Well, alright then. I'll accept your friendly date.

Megumin: Really?! Thanks! Uhm, I mean...! A-Ahem! Thank you.

And just like that, she ran off out of my room until Jack spoke up.

Jack: Hey mom, are you going out on a friendy date with Megumin?

(Y/N): Yeah, but she only said that we're pretending to go on a date with me. So I consider it as a friendly date. 

Jack: Well since you're going away, what should we do?

(Y/N): Do whatever you want as long as you don't get in trouble, okay?

Jack: Okay.

Eventually, you went off to prepare your friendly date with Megumin.

-Time Skip-

After I wore my outfit and I saw Megumin standing at the exit door waiting for me.

(Y/N): So, you ready?

Megumin: *Nods* Let's go.

And then now we head out by pretending on going out on a date.

After going outside to have a "date" and we were walking in silence and holding hands. I glanced down that Megumin was slightly embarrassed about this as I held a light blush on my face since we're both holding hands together.

(Y/N): How does it feel to hold hands with me?

I asked, breaking the silence. 

Megumin: W-Well...I feel kind of embarrassed, but holding it with you is quite warming.

(Y/N): You really think so?

I asked with a smile on my face.

Megumin: Y-Yeah...I feel a lot less nervous, I suppose.

(Y/N): That's a good thing to hear. However, I have a feeling that he's seeing us right now.

You said in a stern voice at the last part.

Megumin: Oh right. Is he following us?

She turned behind her back.

Megumin: Yes, he is. He's hiding behind the sign of the Meat Shop, looking at us.

(Y/N): Oh I see him. Want me to confront this guy? Didn't think there would be some guy thinking of stalking us, jeez...

Megumin: Don't know, depends on you.

(Y/N): Maybe we can just ignore him or something. Anyways, I'll try my best to act being your partner and all.

Megumin: We're just pretending, okay? You...You know that, right? Back awhile ago?

(Y/N): Oh yeah, right. Sorry about that.

Megumin: That's alright, mind if I do this!

And then suddenly she starts to pinch both of my cheeks, it didn't hurt.

Megumin: Wow! Your cheeks are surprisingly soft!

(Y/N): Hey! Stop that!

Megumin keeps pinching my cheeks and playing with them as I made weird noises while talking, we both laughed together.

While Megumin was pinching your cheeks and laughing out loud with you, but the two of you were quite unaware that Kazuma and Darkness saw the whole thing.

Kazuma: Whoa, is Megumin officially dating (Y/N)?

Darkness: Looks like it, but...are they doing this in secret?

Darkness questioned.

Kazuma: Don't know, but nobody told us that they're in a secret relationship without letting us know.

Darkness: *Smiles* Should we tell this to anyone?

Kazuma: Nah, let them be. 

Darkness: Are you sure? I mean, (Y/N)'s big sis would probably overreact when she sees this.

Kazuma: Rin went off somewhere else, probably going on a quest.

Unfortunately for the two, a familiar voice spoke up behind them.

???: Oh? Did someone mention that my little bro went off a date~?

Kazuma and Darkness's faces went "Oh crap" as they knew who this is.

Darkness: R-Rin, we can explain.

Rin: Oh I don't need an explanation. I saw the whole thing from above, but don't worry, I'm not mad~

Kazuma: R-Really?

Rin: Nope~!

Megumin: Alright, what should we do next?

I think for a little.

(Y/N): Hmm...how about the movies?

Megumin: What's a movie?

(Y/N): A movie is a recording of moving images that tells a story and that people watch on a screen or television. Like for example, an actor who does in a role play by acting as a bystander, a killer, a stunt performer, an agent, etc.

Megumin: Is it like some sort of role-playing or drama-play?

(Y/N): Both to be exact.

Megumin: Huh, that sounds new to me. 

(Y/N): Well, let's just get some tickets and buy some popcorn with the money that we saved anyway.

Megumin: Wait, that might be true, but I feel like a part of me is going to die if we do that.

(Y/N): Don't doubt about it. Anyways, let's see...what genre you should choose?

Megumin: Look at this! This one! Let's go see this one!

(Y/N): Huh?

She pointed as I looked at it.

Megumin: "Putankin punches through troubles'! Challenged with famine, financial deficit, and civil war...the legendary nobleman throws punches at every problem...Jolly material arts play from Baron Putankin!

(Y/N): Hmm...it's interesting but curious at the same time, but however, I don't think it's the right drama for a date...

We got inside the movie as we see that tall muscular guy with that Mohawk haircut, as we watched as he punched people in the face, I would flinch at this sight, maybe this role-play was a little violent. After that, we stepped outside.

Megumin: That movie was amazing, isn't it amazing, (Y/N)

(Y/N): ... ...

Megumin: Hey, (Y/N), is something wrong?

(Y/N): Oh, it's about the movie.

Megumin: What about it? Do you not like it?

(Y/N): Well, I liked it at first, but I was very confused about what I was watching, Baron Putankin just unexpectedly punched the princess out of nowhere. I felt kinda...off. (Although, I kinda like actions movies though.)

Megumin: You don't understand?

(Y/N): Nah, forget what I said. Anyways, I'm starting to feel hungry from watching the show.

Megumin: Now that you mention it.

(Y/N): After watching a show, let's get something to eat. The Baron said, "Meat is Justice!" So, I'm thinking we could some meat.

Megumin: I disagree! At a time like this, we should be eating some eel, right? It's Redemption Day today.

(Eight-headed eel, based on Tamata no Orochi)

Megumin: When the Baron defeated the Yamata no Unagi by punching it, he used its meat to end the famine that was plaguing the country and the bounty to save the country from financial difficulties!

(Y/N): So what are we going to do? Rock-Paper-Scissors for it?

Megumin: I don't think that would help. We are on a date, after all, so you have to listen to what the girl wants.

(Y/N): Whoa there, going on date and asking the guy to buy you expensive eel meat, you're taking advantage of a girl's privilege!

Megumin: Ah!

(Y/N): Hm? What's wrong?

Megumin: Does this look like a date?

(Y/N): I mean, you said earlier that we're pretending to go on a date, but I'd consider it as a friendly date.

Megumin: A friendly date, huh?

Megumin says as a smile crept on her face.

(Y/N): Are you smiling?

I asked with a teasing smile on her face.

Megumin: N-No, it's nothing...!

Megumin replied with a light blush on her face until she then turned her back.

(Y/N) Is the stalker still following us?

Megumin: Hmm, I can't see him right now. Did he give up and go home?

(Y/N): You think so? Even if it didn't look like a date, he should've seen us being very close to each other. Maybe we just looked like it perhaps.

Megumin: Hmm, is that so?

(Y/N): Probably he gave up?

Megumin: Yeah...

(Y/N): *Sighs in relief* Anyways, I have a feeling of going home right now, let's head back.

As then suddenly, I felt her jumping on my back as I start to lose my balance.

(Y/N): W-Whoa!! Ooof!!

I fall face front.

(Y/N): That hurts...augh...what is it now?

I groaned. 

Megumin: The date is not over yet.

(Y/N): What do you mean it's not over? But the stalker isn't here, right?

Megumin: You promised me that we'll go out together for the whole day, right?

(Y/N): I promised? Oh yeah, I remember.

Megumin: Then as promised, please go out with me okay?

I was surprised a little before smiling at her.

(Y/N): Sure thing.

And then suddenly...

Megumin: Explosion!

Megumin casts as the distance explosion blow away making a huge wind flowing past us.

(Y/N): Wait, going out with you...what does that- Oh wait, I get it now

Megumin: Hehehe, sorry.

And then suddenly she falls down face front, not moving at all.

Megumin: The sound is crisp and the power is outstanding. I think today's explosion deserves full points.

(Y/N): *Sigh* Give me a break...Taking me out here to the edge of town, I thought we were actually gonna do something for fun. This ain't romantic at all.

Megumin: Did you have something in mind?

(Y/N): Nah, to be honest, it was kind of fun dating with you Megumin.

She looked at me surprised before making a tint of pink cheeks on her face, as she smiled at me.

Megumin: I'm glad to hear that from you. I'm happy with how this turned out.

(Y/N): Alright, let's head back.

Megumin: Okay.

I then started to carry her on my back. 

(Y/N): Well? Shall we off?

Megumin: Yes, please.

And just like that, I carried Megumin all the way back to Axel.

Megumin: Sorry to make you walk so far.

(Y/N): *Sigh* We could've at least not walk too far, you know?

Megumin: Explosion magic uses up nearly all of my magical and physical energy; with little stamina, I have left isn't enough to move my limbs.

(Y/N): Haha...

I laughed sarcastically until Megumin and I see the stalker.

(Y/N): Wait, isn't that the Stalker?!

Megumin: What!? I thought he gave up already! Did he plan to ambush me here?!

That's when I realized that it was just a child.

(Y/N): Wait for a second, isn't that a kid?

Megumin: Even if he's a kid!

(Y/N): You gotta be kidding me. Alright, I need to place you down and I might have to confront them.

Megumin: N-No, I'd rather stay with you.

(Y/N): Keep it down, you're making the situation more complicated...!

M. Child: Megumin.

Megumin: Uhh...yes? 

M. Child: Megumin-sensei...please!

Megumin: W-w-wait a moment, my heart is not ready for this!

M. Child: Please! Please teach me explosion magic!

Megumin & (Y/N): Eh?

Both me and Megumin were confused at this.

M. Child: Megumin-sensei!

(Y/N): Well...I see you must have a fan, Megumin.

Megumin: I have a fan!?

M. Child: A fan? No, no, you're mistaken! 

(Y/N): Then what is the reason why are you following her?

M. Child: That's because I was taken in by the allure of explosion magic. 

(Y/N): Oh uh...do you have anything to say in this one, Megumin?

I asked until turn to Megumin. That's when I see a dark look on her face.

Megumin: What was that, kid? What was that about "older women"? 

You realized that Megumin started to get pissed. 

(Y/N): Uh oh...

Megumin: Listen here, you little kid! I'm probably quite a few years older than you. 

M. Child: Eh!? But...I thought you were 18 years old girl! I had no idea you were the old loli type!

Megumin: You wanna learn about explosion magic, WHY DON'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!?!

The child screamed and ran off while you were shocked on seeing Megumin being pissed off.

(Y/N): Whoa, Megumin! Are you alright?

Megumin let out a deep sigh before speaking up.

Megumin: Sorry about that, I was just angry at that kid, that's all. Can we go now?

(Y/N): Well...alright then. 

And just like that, we walked back to Axel and started to eat dinner in the Guild. Kazuma and the others told everyone what we were doing, Megumin and I were kinda embarrassed about it so they teased us a little 

My first-time experience and going out with Megumin on an explosion date was...kind of fun, although we were just pretending.
