-No one's P.O.V-

For some time later, it's getting quite cold and I've been wearing my former outfit. You know, my sweater.

Anyways, you found Kazuma and Aqua in the Barn trying to light up a fire to get themselves warm.  Later on, You, Kazuma & and Aqua were now walking in the city and you stopped in front of the shop.

Kazuma: All right, we're here.

(Y/N): So, why are we in a shop? We here to buy something?

Kazuma: You could say that. Anyways, Aqua. I'll say this while I have the chance. Don't throw any fits, you hear?

Aqua: Hey, what're you talking about? What do you take for? I'm no hoodlum or outlaw, I'm a Goddess, a bona fide deity! Hey! Are you listening to me? Wait! You should listen gratefully when a Goddess speaks!

Kazuma wasn't listening. He just opened the doors and entered the shop. You and Aqua followed him.

???: Welco-

You then see a beautiful and well-endowed woman with fair skin and curvaceous figure. She has brown eyes and straight brown hair reaching down to the front of her shoulders and further behind her back, slightly curling at the tips. Her fringe sometimes covers her right eye. She was wearing a purple dress. 

Aqua: *Points* It's you, you damned undead! 

Aqua then grabs a collar to shake the poor woman. You rose your eyebrow in confusion.

Aqua: You opened up a shop here? I'm sleeping in a stable, and you're running a shop?! You're pretty full of yourself for a Lich!

(Y/N): (Undead and Lich?) 

In the corner of your eye, you see Kazuma draws his sword out and was approaching them. You're still confused as Kazuma still approaches the two.

Aqua: I'll burn this shop to the ground in the name of God-

*Smack!*

Kazuma hits Aqua in the head with his sword in the sheet.

Aqua: Ow!

???: Kazuma-san!

Kazuma: Yo, Wiz. It's been a while.

She then turns to look at you.

Wiz: Oh? Who's this? Is he your little brother?

Kazuma: No, no. He's my friend. This is (Y/N) (L/N). He is a Bard and he is my party.

Wiz looks at Kazuma for a moment before looking at you back. You approached her and offer and handshake.

(Y/N): Nice meeting Wiz.

-Small Time Skip-

Aqua was sitting by the table pouting.

Aqua: Do you not even serve tea at this shop?

Wiz: Oh, I-I'm sorry! I'll bring some for you right away!

She ran into the back room and some crashing noises can be heard.

Kazuma: I see she hasn't changed.

(Y/N): Say, when did you meet her though? Also, I heard Aqua calling her a 'Lich'.

Kazuma: Ah yes. She may look like an ordinary, but she's actually a lich. She's a ruler of the undead, also known as the "No-Life King." Although Wiz is a lich, she's a kind girl. Every night, she'd send spirits wandering the graveyard home to Heaven. Through various circumstances, we took up that job in her stead and ended up letting her go, but...

(Y/N): So she sends spirits to Heaven? How awfully nice of her.

Kazuma: Were you being sarcastic?

(Y/N): No, I'm not even smirking or joking.

Wiz then puts a cup of tea on the table.

Wiz: H-Here you go.

Aqua took a sip of the tea and her eyes widened.

Aqua: (It's delicious) You set up a shop even though you're an undead, and you prepare warm tea even though you're an undead...

Wiz: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. The likes of me shouldn't live in such luxury!

She was bowing her head in front of Aqua, then Kazuma pointed his finger at Aqua and said.

Kazuma: stop acting like a spiteful sister-in law. *Looks at Wiz*. Wiz, I have some spare points points saved up. Could you teach me a skill?

Aqua spitted tea on Kazuma and stood up.

Aqua: Hey! What are you thinking, Kazuma?! I can't possibly overlook a Goddess's attendant learning a lich's skills!

Kazuma: Who're you calling an attendant?!

Aqua then puts her arm over Wiz and pointed at her.

Aqua: Listen. Liches love gloomy, dismal places. The whole lot of them are basically related to slugs!

Wiz: Th-That's terrible!

Kazuma: But people normally can't learn lich skills, right? I was thinking it could be a great asset in battle if I could learn a skill like that.

(Y/N): I bet he could do.

Wiz: Um...Did she say "a goddess's attendant" earlier?

Aqua: That's right. I am Aqua. Yes, the Goddess Aqua, worshiped by the Religious Order of Axis. Renounce yourself, Lich!

Wiz screamed in fear and backed off.

(Y/N): Easy now, Wiz. Just calm down. There's nothing to be afraid of.

You said trying to reassure her.

Wiz: No, it's...There are lots of crazy people in the Axis sect, and it's common knowledge that it's best not to get involved with them, so when I heard that she's the head Godess of the Axis sect.

That's when you hear Wiz say at the 'Crazy' part, which made you curious. You were about to ask Wiz, but Aqua got pissed off with tears in her eyes.

Aqua: What did you say?! Curse you! This is what you get! 

Wiz: I'm sorry!

(Y/N): *Sigh* People these days...

-Small Time Skip-

(Y/N): *Sips tea* Nice.

Aqua was looking at some shelves that Wiz had.

Wiz: By the way, I heard you defeated Verdia-san. His skill with the sword was supposed to be quite impressive, even among the other leaders, so that's quite amazing.

(Y/N): Yep, but I actually made fun of him by dodging around with Super Speed. Speaking of which, have you known Verdia?

Wiz: That's correct. That's because I'm one of the eight leaders of the Devil King's army. 

Aqua jumped on her from behind and pinned her to the floor.

Aqua: Got you!

Wiz: Wait! Please wait, Aqua-sama! I beg of you! Please listen to what I have to say!

Aqua: I did it, Kazuma and (Y/N! With this, all my debts will be forgiven! In fact, I should get a change back!

Kazuma: Hey, Aqua, at least her out.

(Y/N): He's right. She has needs to explain herself.

Kazuma knelt before Wiz.

Kazuma: Listen, an an adventurers, we obviously can't overlook you saying you're a leader of the Demon Lord's army...

Wiz: You've got it all wrong! I was asked to maintain the barrier that protects the Demon Lord's castle! Of course, I've never once caused anyone any harm, and you won't receive any bounty for defeating, either!

Aqua: I don't really get it, but I'll eliminate you, just in case.

Then her fist start glowing yellow.

Wiz: Please wait, Aqua-sama!

-Small Time Skip-

Kazuma: So you're saying we can open the path to the Demon Lord's castle by defeating all of his leaders. Is that right?

Wiz: Yes, yes! That's correct!

(Y/N): I mean, you're a kind person. I don't see anything wrong with you.

Wiz: Exactly! The Demon Lord said he wouldn't stop me from quietly managing my shop in a human settlement but only asked that I maintain the barrier as one of his leaders.

Aqua: So, as long as you're around, human's can't invade the Demon Lord's castle? Let's Eliminated her.

Wiz: Wait! Please wait! Please at least let me live a little while longer! I still have something to do!

Aqua: I could easily break a simple barrier...But she's a lich, so let's eliminated her.

Wiz: Please wait!

Kazuma: Now, hang on. Even if we broke the barrier right now, we can't defeat the Demon Lord at our current levels. It'll just end in us being beheaded.

(Y/N): Says you were the who also got beheaded.

You teased as Kazuma lightly punched you in the arm.

Aqua: Okay, fine. 

Wiz: Th-Thank you very much!

(Y/N); But are you sure that you're alright with this? I mean, you don't resent us for defeating Verdia or anything?

Wiz: Its not as though I was particularly close to Verdia-san or anything.

-Wiz's Flashback-

Whenever I would walk around...

Verdia: Whoops! My hand slipped!

He was the sort who would often roll his own head by my feet and try to look up my skirt.

Verdia: Strike! In so many ways, a total strike!

-Flashback end-

Aqua/Kazuma & (Y/N): *Deadpan faces*

Wiz: Besides, I believe my hear is human, even now.

You smiled at her response.

-Time Skip-

For quite some time later, Wiz had taught Kazuma about the Drain Touch skill, somehow reminds young of Shang Tsung stealing someone's soul. Just then, a mysterious man comes in and had telling her some news. You and your party were now staying in the Mansion while Aqua was outside telling the story at the front gates.

It was later at night. You were sleeping in your room and you felt uncomfortable for a moment. You tried rolling each sides of the bed, you groaned and sat up straight.

(Y/N): The hell...why can't I go back to sleep?

Just then, you look around to see a scary looking doll in the chair, and it was staring at you...deeply into your soul. 

You had chills up on your spine. You tried to calm down by taking a few breathe ins and outs.  It worked a little, so you decided to play the guitar to calm yourself down.

After playing the guitar, as then you heard small like clapping sound. You looked in front to see the doll clapping at you. You were genuinely freaked out and confused.

???: That was amazing.

The doll spoke as she got off the chair and starts to walk towards you, you were ready to swing the bat at the doll, she noticed this.

???: Relax. I'm not going to do anything to you, trust me.

You thought about it for a moment, as you sighed and lowered the guitar.

???: Good. I didn't mean to scare you. Anyways, I'm Anna.

The living doll introduced herself, but you remained skeptical about this living doll.

(Y/N): Okay. I'm (Y/N) (L/N). 

She nodded in acknowledgement.

(Y/N): Why are you here? Were you watching me sleep?

Anna: I was, but I'd been feeling creepy if I did that. Anyways, I can feel a lot of spirits in your mansion.

(Y/N): Okay, but our Arch-Priest is handling it, I guess.

Anna: Oh? Will she able to help me and the others to put the rest?

(Y/N): Unless we find her.

She then raises her hands up in the air.

(Y/N): What?

Anna: Aren't you obvious? Carry me.

You carried Anna on your hands.

Anna: Now then, I want you to carry me to find your Arch-Priest friend so we can rest.

(Y/N): *Sigh* Alright then.

You said as you carried the Living Doll through out the mansion. 

(A/N: You hold Anna like this:)

You slowly walked out of your room and look for Aqua.

(Y/N): Damn, it's too dark to see.

Anna: I forgot to mention, I can be able glow this body.

(Y/N): You can?

Anna: Yup!

Just then, Anna's body on the doll starts to glow.

(A/N: If you get this reference, it's one of the horror video games where you play as a certain toddler and a talking teddy bear)

(Y/N): Thanks.

You crept your way throughout the corridors. Just then, you hear those familiar screams.

(Y/N): It's Kazuma and Megumin.

Anna: Are they your friends?

(Y/N): Yeah. We should go find them.

You keep walking towards the corridors of the mansion. Just then, you hear a door slammed open.

(Y/N): AH!!

You yelped in fear and kept running while holding Anna. Once you turn to the corner, you see Aqua on the ground and a bunch of dolls. You then see Kazuma and Megumin as well.

(Y/N): Kazuma? Megumin? What are you guys doing in there?

Kazuma: I was awoken by some dolls and found Megumin, so we hid here.

Kazuma explained shortly  till he looks down to see the living doll on my arms.

Megumin: (Y/N)! Get that doll off of your hands!

Megumin says in fear as she hides behind Kazuma.

(Y/N): Calm down. Anna, this is Megumin and Kazuma. Kazuma and Megumin, meet Anna.

You said introducing to them as Kazuma and Megumin slowly looked at the doll as Anna spoke up.

Anna: Hello there.

She says with a smile. Both Kazuma and Megumin screamed as you and Anna sighed.

-The Next Day-

Luna: Since you exorcised  the evil spirits, you get a special reward. This was posted as a kill quest, but even the guild was bothered by how new evil spirits settled in, no matter how many were exorcised. 

Kazuma: So I hear. Why did so many evil spirits gather there?

Luna: About that...There's a community graveyard near that mansion, correct?

Anna: A community graveyard?

Anna says and tilts her head in confusion. And yes, you carried Anna the whole way here.

Kazuma: The place where we first met Wiz?

Luna: Someone apparently erected a massive barrier as a prank or something. So the spirits had nowhere to go and settled in that vacant mansion instead.

You looked down at Anna and Anna looked up at you.

(Y/N): Is that what happened, Anna?

Anna: *Nods* Yes.

Kazuma: Excuse us for a moment. 

You followed Kazum and he grabs Aqua before walking to the corner.

Kazuma: Hey. You know what's going on, don't you? Spill it.

Aqua was playing with her finger.

Aqua: Yes. You remember how we undertook exorcising the graveyard in Wiz's stead before?

Kazuma: Uh-huh.

Anna: *Stare*

(Y/N): ...

Aqua: But constantly going all the way to the graveyard was a huge pain.

Kazuma: Uh-huh.

Anna: *STARE*

(Y/N): ???

Aqua: So I figured if I took away their graveyard the spirits' home, they would eventually disperse and leave. So...I...did.

Kazuma: We won't accept special reward from the guild. Got it?

Aqua: Yes.

They looked at you and saw your face.

(Y/N):

Then they looked at Anna on your arms and looked at her face.

Anna:

Anna: I can't believe you've actually done that...you stupid Arch-Priest...

You can hear her anger on her voice.

-Time Skip-

So right now, you were in the living room as you placed Anna on the couch while Kazuma was cleaning outside the gravestone under the tree. Aqua decided to put Anna to rest.

Aqua: So...you ready? 

Anna smiles and slowly nods.

Anna: I'm ready.

Aqua: Alright then!

Aqua cracks her knuckles before putting a hand in front of Anna.

Aqua: Turn Undead!

She casts her spell on the Living Doll. Anna slowly closed her eyes, as then her spirit slowly comes out of the Living Doll an floats away into the air. She looks down at you and smiled before waving at you. You smiled at waved back as well before she left in thin air.

You looked down on the doll to see it was normal again with its eyes wide open again, just like any other doll would. You carried the doll on your arms again.

(Y/N): She was a nice person.

Darkness: I guess she was. 

Aqua: What are you going to do with it?

You looked at the Doll for a moment before smiling.

(Y/N): I'll put her in my room.

You said as you left the living room and went to your room. You placed the doll on the chair on where you first met Anna.
