New Moon

????? POV

___________

I glared at Athena.

"It was bad enough when she fell for that pile of sea weed." She says dramatically.

"I don't want your daughter to rub off on her."

I roll my eyes.

"Look, it's not my choice either, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do" I say folding my arms.

"We don't have to do anything."

I scoff. For someone who's supposed to be wise, you really don't get the most basic rules. Don't question the Oracle."

"Whatever"

And she leaves.

Percy POV

______________

I walk back quietly, hoping to sneak up on the girls.

I see them leaning next to each other sound asleep, the fire behind slowly dying out but still creating enough light to make them appear as silhouettes.

The shadows danced around the trees. The sun had set around half an hour ago.

I smiled. They were nice together.

I climbed back into my tent, leaving them to themselves.

Y/n POV

_____________

I woke up to the noise of a snapping stick. I opened my eyes.

Percy was standing there with Annabeth. There were working on making a small structure out of sticks.

Percy threw his hands in the air out of frustration.

"Holy Hades why the fuck is that so difficult!" He cried out as he watched his tower fall over.

Annabeth, at this point, had already started on her seventh city.

I giggled, sitting up straight.

Annabeth turned towards me, blushing.

Percy grabbed a stick and held it like a sword, pointing it to me.

"Greetings fellow warrior, I see you have entered the battle field." He grinned, but then his smile faltered when he proceeded to drop his stick.

"Curse you! You disgusting piece of nature!" He glared at the stick on the ground, now covered in a thick layer of mud.

I walked over and picked it up.

Just like me it was thrown away when it was no longer useful.

I brushed off the dirt with my sleeve.

"This mighty fighter will be the first loyal subject in my great kingdom of darkness" I played along, ADHD kicking in at full power.

Annabeth walked over to stand next to me.

"My armies shall join forces with your new kingdom, in exchange for something far greater than gold."

She paused, smirking.

"REVENGE!!!" She scooped up some mud in her hands and threw it at Percy.

He ran into his tent, covering his head with his hands.

I laughed and Annabeth smiled.

"You remember last night?" She asked blushing.

I blinked in confusion.

"What? What happened?"

She smirked. "Nothing"

And she grabbed the tent bag, waving her hand to signal me to follow.

"Let's go, new moon is soon."

I smiled, helping her pack up the tent.

A new moon may be soon, but a new friendship has already bloomed.
