The student's of the Pokemon school were sitting around their classroom waiting for their classes to start.

"Popplio, make a balloon." Lana and as a bubble fromed from Popplio's nose. It soon popped surprising the Pokemon. Elsewhere in the room, Sophocles was working on something, while Lilie was making adjustments to Mallow's recipe for Pokemon food. Soon Kiawe arrived from a delivery to another island. Then professor kukui finally walked in with Y/N and Ash following close behind.

"Alola." Y/N said with a smile.

"Y/N and Ash will be joining us at the Pokemon school. If they have any questions, please don't hesitate to help them out." Kukui told the others in the room.

After introductions, everyone was standing around the two looking at the new accessories the two of you managed to acquire.

"That's so cool!" Sophocles said as he admires the Z-rings on Y/N and Ash.

"Woah , you guys. Is that a Z-crystal on your wrist? "Mallow asks as she leans in closer to the rings.

"Yeah, it's Electrium Z on Ash while Steelium Z on Y/N." Kiawe told everyone while walking up to them." Where did you get that? Not the island challenge. You didn't participate and pass the trails that i know of."

"Tapu Koko gave it to me." Ash revealed how he got his Z-ring.

"Tapu Koko?" Kaiwe asked astonished.

"No way! You saw it again?" Mallow asked." Does that mean you got your Z ring and crystal from Tapu lele Y/N ?"

Y/n nodded his head while Ash told them what happend." Uh-huh! Pikachu heard Tapu Koko's voice, so we took off after it." Ash retold while everyone listened. "When we found Tapu Koko, this thing just came floating down to us. Yup right out of the sky."

"I was walking along the beach with Manaphy when all of the sudden white scales began to fall on us. It wasn't until Manaphy pointed out that Tapu Lele was on the sky  before coming down to us, before giving the ring to us." Y/N said what happened to him as well.

"The island guardians? How could they gotten Z rings?" Kaiwe questions to himself.

"And then?" Mallow urges them to continue.

"It was like Tapu Koko was telling me the z ring was for me." Ash said 

Tapu Lele was the same for me as well. Y/N said as everyone was surprised.

"I've read about them before. Lillie said as everyone turned to look at her. Tapu Koko and Lele. Tapu Koko's very well known as the guardian who likes to help islanders, bit it also likes to play tricks if it thinks it's necessary, it can sometimes even punish them. I also read that on rare occasions it will give gifts to people it likes." She said before moving onto the next guardian. "Tapu Lele , on the other hand, is known for being innocently cruel. It's said that it's scales, although they heal, they can be harmful if you touch to many. It's known to spread it's scales for it's own amusement."

"I don't know what to make of that." Mallow said as everyone was unsure about Tapu Lele." But it looks like both of them took a liking to Ash and Y/N."

"Kiawe, hold on. You got your Z ring from the akala island kahuna right?" Sophocles asked.

"Yeah." Kiawe said as he looked at his z ring." By successfully passing the grand trail."

"That's awesome ! Does this mean that i can use z moves?" Ash said excitedly. 

"Using them should not be taken lightly!" Kiawe responded sternly.

"Only when a Pokemon and trainer's hearts become one, will the z rings turn their feelings into power. But those feeling must be about something greater than themselves. Like..."

"Like what ?" Ash asked, urging Kiawe to continue.

"Helping the islands. Helping Pokemon or helping others. only those who care about all living things are permitted to use z moves. I'm not entirely sure what the guardians saw in each of you , but now your're z ring owners, you need to realize your responsibility."

"Kaiwe, i don't understand much of that complicated stuff ... but i know how special the z moves are. Fore sure you can count on me."

"Likewise. you can count on me as well. "Y/n said causing Kaiwe to smile

"I also have something just as important on me." Y/N said while take something from under is shirt.

It was a arceus ring necklace, but with a gem at the center. Most of the class don't know what the gem was but Ash did.

"Woah! "Ash cried out in surprise and amazement. "Is that a keystone Y/N?" 

Yup said Y/N said

A keystone? Mallow asked

Yeah it let's my Diancie to mega evolve. Y/N explained. 

Really? Lilie asked. amazed. Yup maybe i'll show you sometime.

After that class started. Professor Kukui and Principal Oak explained about Exeggutor and how alola exeggutor are different from the ones outside of alola. 

A/n: i know i skipped the class scene, i'm lazy okay? My brain all but fried writing to this point.

Timeskip next day.

DART I'M LATE!! Y/N yelled as he ran to the Pokemon school.

On the way he met Ash who was also late. The two decided to make a break for it until....

 A popping noise took the two of them by surprise as they came face-first into a bubble that popped, knocking them to the floor.

Ow... The heck was that? Y/n asked while everyone came out from nowhere.

Alola surprise! Everyone said happily.

Hey you guys. Ash said as Kaiwe helped them up.

Did we surprise you? He asked with a smile.

No doubt. Y/N said while dusting of his outfit.

First off, we decided today would be the perfect day to have a surprise welcome party for you two. And that's just the first surprise. Mallow said while holding one finger in the air.

The first one? Ash asked while Mallow nodded.

And next Togedemaru and i want to challenge you. I'm sure you must know what i mean right? Sophocles said while holding his Pokemon.

A challenge ? A Pokemon battle right? Ash asked while growing excited.

Hm. Sophocles hummed.

Okay Sophocles, i accept your challenge! Ash said, completely excited at the idea.

Count me in. Y/N said while reaching for one of his Pokeballs.

Let's go Pikachu! Pikachu nodded as the got ready to battle, but the moment was ruined when three big ballons appeared.

What in the .. balloons ? Y/N asked clearly confused.

That's right balloons ! Mallow said happily. Whichever team pops all the balloons first wins the game! Y/N nodded while Ash and Pikachu still looked disappointed that there was no battle. Oh yeah, Pokemon or trainer , it doesn't matter who pops the balloons. Mallow added in.

Balloons? Pop them first? Ash said before getting his energy back. That'll be a piece of cake.

Diance let's go. Y/N said as he called out the Diamond Pokemon. Dian! Diance cried as she came out. She then looked at the balloons then back to her trainer, we need to pop the balloons. Y/N said as Diance nodded.

All three of them stood a couple feet away from the balloons as Kaiwe stood by. Ready! Go! He said as the three of them ran to the balloons.

Diance use diamond storm! Y/N shouted. Diance obeying created a large amount of pink diamonds that were shot to the balloons popping them at a fast rate.

Wow that's amazing Lillie said star eyed at Diance's attack.

It's so beautiful! Mallow agreed

So pretty. Lana said 

Y/N turned to looked to see Ash and Pikachu struggling with the balloons while Sophocles was going at a steady pace. Y/N turned around to see diance was done with the balloons . 

 Alright, Diance! excellent work! As he patted the diamond Pokemons head as Diance looked at her trainer happily.

First place goes to Y/N and Diance ! Kaiwe said as Y/N turned to see Pikachu  about to use thunderbolt. However, the attack was redirected to Sophocles's Togedemaru. Using that electricity it popped the rest of their balloons. Second place goes to Sophocles and Togedemaru, which means Ash and Pikachu come in last. 

Y/N , Ash? Lana's soft voice said as they turned to look at her. Ready for your next surprise? It's a challenge against us.

Everyone was watching the next event as Pikachu was in front of Y/N's Manaphy and Popplio while all three ran to a pool of water.

A Pokemon Aquathlon is a competitive sport where you run then swim. Now let's see who wins it. Mallow explained.

Pikachu! Win it, buddy! Ash cheered as Pikachu jumped into the water. He swam for a moment as Manaphy and Popplio jumped into the water a moment later. That's great head to the finish line.

In there own element Manaphy and Popplio managed to catch up and pass Pikachu. That's the spirit Manaphy. Y/N cheered his Pokemon on.

The two of the swam through the water as Y/N and Lana ran after them. You'r almost there Popplio. Lana cheered for her pokemon. The two eventually shot out of the water as they both landed on the finished line. I'm proud of you. Great Popplio. You're amazing. She said as she petted her.

Well done Manaphy. I knew you can do it. Y/n said while patting her as well.

Popplio can swim at speeds of 25 miles per hour. The same goes for Manaphy as well. Quite impressive. Lillie said as she walked up to Ash. Soon a disappointed Pikachu crawled out of the water.

 Congrats Lana. your Popplio is extremely fast. Y/N said while holding Manaphy in his arms.

Thank you Y/N, your Manaphy was a surprise as well. I didn't think she could swim so fast. Lana said while Manaphy gave a happy cry.

Kaiwe is the next one to step up. I hope you two are ready, cause i'm your next surprise. It's us three, a free for all. he said as Y/N and Ash looked determined.

Soon all three of them were on the tracks ridding on Tauros. Ash and Kaiwe were fighting for first place while Y/N was slightly behind them. The race ended with Kiawe coming first while Ash came in second and Y/N coming in last.

Man, to think i was so close. Ash said as the Tauros came to a halt.

I'm just glad Tauros didn't throw me off. Y/N said while climbing down. 

 You both rode pretty well. Kaiwe said as he got off his Tauros. Y/N walked up to the head of the Tauros and petted him. 

Thanks for not throwing me off. Y/N said as the tauros gave a happy noise. Y/N turned to around  to see Diance and Manaphy coming to him. Thanks for cheering me on you two. Y/N said while petting them. The sound of footsteps was heard as Y/N and Ash turned around to see Professor Kukui approaching.

Professor Kukui. Ash said before seeing Rockruff in his arms. Hey rockruff.

You guys are looking at your next surprise. If Pikachu and one of Y/N's pokemon agree let's have a Pokemon battle.

A Pokemon battle? And against Professor Kukui? This is the best surprise of all! Ash said while trembling in excitement.

Y/N called out genesect, how about a battle? Y/N asked genesect nodded willing to battle anyone. Alright i'm in. Y/n said but before anyone could move Mallow put her hand in front of Y/N and Ash.

Before that... i'm the poster girl for my family's restaurant, so that means i'm going perpare lunch.

Lunchtime? Ash repeated when his stomach growled.

I could use some food actually. Y/N said as everyone agreed.

Everyone was sitting in a room as Mallow came out with two large plates of food.

Lunch is served! She yelled while placing the food on the table that giving the Pokemon there food. Dig in everyone!

Yummy? Lana asked Popplio who nodded her head. I'm glad.

You know what? Mallow said while take her seat then facing Lilie. I followed your Pokemon food recipe to a tee.

It's very tasty, but it's also healthy Pokemon food. Lilie said about the recipe.

Delish. Ash said while eating.

This is great. Y/N said while taking his time.

Mallow's restaurant is so good. I don't like to eat anyplace else. Sophocles said. Everyone continued eating until someting caught Y/n and Ash's attention.

Huh? Did you hear that guys? Ash asked as he got up and headed for the railing when all of the sudden Tapu Koko appeared right in front of his face. They stare at each other before Ash screams and stumbles back. Everyone gasp at the sight of the island guardian.

Melemele's island guardian. Tapu Koko ! Lilie says in shock. As everyone else says their own comment about the guardian. Then Y/N felt something touch his head, he looked up to Tapu Lele looking right at him. Everyone is once again shocked to see another guardian Pokemon.

So you'r here as well. Y/N said as Lele nodded. Ash walks up to Tapu Koko and thanks it for the z ring. Tapu Koko tilts it's head before vanishing and reappearing behind Ash to take his hat. It then started to play around by appearing and disappearing at high speeds.Using this moment, Tapu Lele took something from Y/N as well.

Ah! My necklace! Y/N said as Tapu Lele held his necklace. Soon both Tapu Koko and Lele took off with Y/N's necklace and Ash's hat. Both of them chased after the two guardians into the forest as the other's followed behind.

Guys, slow down. Mallow and the others said as they climbed over a fallen tree trunk. Genesect with Manapy and Diancie on his back flew over and chased after his trainer.

Eventually, both Y/n and Ash came to a stop as the two of them looked around seeing no signs of Tapu Koko or Lele. Where could they have gone to? Y/n asked while looking around. Soon both of them reappeared in front of them as Tapu Koko put Ash's hat back on his head while Tapu Lele put Y/N's necklace around his neck. They soon both backed up and looked at them both. Hey Ash, i think they want to battle. Y/n told him.

You think so? Asked Ash while Y/n nodded. His confusion is replaced by a smile. Well let's battle! 

Let's go genesect! Y/n said. The shiny Legendary jumped in front of Y/n as Manaphy and Diancie jumped of genesect's back and onto Y/n's shoulder and sides.

Tapu Koko released electricity as the surrounding area turned a bright yellow.

Becareful you guys! Electric moves are stronger while electric terrain is in effect. Lilie yelled out in warning.

That's lucky for us all right! we're ready! Ash said confidantly. Tapu Koko and Lele wasted no time as the two charged at Pikachu and Genesect. Pikachu was knocked back while Genesect was pushed back a few feet.

Come on Genesect! Let's show Lele what we're made of! Y/n yelled as genesect gave a battle cry. Genesect techno blast! Y/n said as Genesect charged up his cannon before firing a blast of energy at Tapu Lele. Lele was swallowed by the blast and by the time the attack disappeared Tapu Lele was seen with some damage. Nice job Genesect! Y/n cheered, but at that moment Tapu lele flew right at Y/n at hight speeds. Y/n covered his face incase it hit him while Manaphy and Diancie ready a water pulse and moon blast, but Lele stopped right in front of Y/n. Huh? Y/n said as he lowered his arms.

Tapu Lele touched Y/n's ring while Tapu Koko did the same for Ash, the rings began to glow  as both of them looked at the rings.

Ash seemed to be the one going first as Y/n watched him and Pikachu moved as one. The two of them let off a powerful attack, that Kukui called Gigavolt havoc. Y/n and the others were blown away from the power of the Z move. Once Ash's attack calmed down, Tapu Koko was seen to be completely fine, he gave off one more cry before leaving. Once he was gone Tapu Lele looked at Y/n expectantly.

You want me to use it as well? Y/n asked as Lele nodded . Alright then. Let's go Genesect! Genesect let out a battle cry as y/n got ready. I have no idea what i'm doing , but let's do it! Y/n said as he started moving while Genesect copied his movements. Soon Genesect then jumps and spins rapidly, turning into a drill lunching himself to Tapu Lele at full force. As the Z move just about to hit it's target Y/n could hear Kaiwe and professor Kukui.

That's the steel type Z move! Kaiwe surprise at Y/n's attack as well.

That must have been Corkscrew Crash! Impressive! Kukui said. once the attack hit a large dust cloud filled the area obscuring the area that Tapu Lele was at.

That's the power of a Z move huh? It's incredible. Genesect jumped back to his trainer. after a moment the dust cleared to show Tapu Lele has little damge.

Whoa !It took on the Z move like it was nothing. Y/n cried out shocked. Y/n's Pokemon were also surprised the attack did almost nothing.

Tapu Lele made eyes that show it was happy before giving a cry and leaving like Tapu Koko 

You guys! Are you okay? Mallow asked as she ran to them.

Yeah, we're fine. Right ash? Y/n asked while he nodded his head.

That was incredible! I can't believe how strong all of you are! She said in disbelief.

Thanks. Y/n said as Ash rubbed the back of his head.

What happened to you Z crystals? Kaiwe asked as he took a look at the two rings. Kaiwe blinked in surprise to see the Electrium Z gone while the Steelium Z still intact.

That's funny ... why did your Electrium Z disintegrate, while Y/n's Steelium Z stay? Kaiwe asked as he looked at the two. Ash noticed Y/n's crystal still in good shape as this left him both surprised and confused. Whoa. yours still okay! How did that happen Y/n?

That's what i'm asking myself. Why did mine stay intact while your's shatter? Y/n ask just as confused. Maybe i'm more perpared for the crystals power because i can handle the power of mega evolution? Y/n guessed.

Kaiwe turned to Ash with a serious look in his face, knowing the reason the Electrium Z breaking apart.

As for you. Ash... this means that's it's to soon for you to use Z moves. You haven't passed a island challenge trail yet. Kiawe said.

Y/n smiled as he looked at Ash smiled back. Then let's fix that as the both of us take that challenge. Y/n said taking them by surprise.

Yeah! We'll pass the challenge and get more Z crystal and i'll do Z moves the right way. Ash continued.

That make sense. Professor Kukui saud while smiling at the two of them. Everyone  agreed with their decision about taking the island challenge.

That's awesome! Thank you, guys! Ash said as Y/n nodded in agreement.

At last i'm done with this chapter next time Y/n and gang will try to catch ash and y/n new Pokemon with a talking pokedex? Along the appearance of Team rocket aka: team morons
