Hollis POV

I'm Hollis Yasei but I go by Hollis Wagner to hide my identity. I know I should change my first name too but it would be hard to notice someone calling my by my fake name.

I'm a Koneko, a person with animal ears and tail. My people and my parents are too. We are slaves to Engura, another world.

But, I'm not supposed to be in Yōso Academy. I'm a slave but royalty in my world. My father died because of me tricked by a witch. I was too young and gullible. I still am gullible.

I sighed wearing the school uniform walking down the hallway. I'm not use to wearing these type of clothing, especially the tie makes me feel like I'm being hung. I prayed to my gods to not let anyone realize where I'm from. But, I can still be judge by my race.

"You look handsome in your uniform" Karma smirked, wearing a really short uniform skirt.

Karma is like a little sister to me. She has only one purpose in life, to protect me because I'm my village Prince, the chief son. Her parents protected my dad and now it's her turn.

"The slut" I said, glaring at her.

"Don't say that" she pouted, controlling some rocks in a circle.

"Aren't you one?" I folded my arms.

"I'm just trying to be like the Ningenas here" she sighed.

"You studied the wrong people" I sighed, patting her head.

She smiled nervously, hiding her fox tail. "We can't let them know who we are huh?" she spoke softly.

"We are the lowest class in this society and I don't want anyone to know I'm part cat, especially Elisa" I smiled nervously.

"I know the feeling....and I'm sorry about your dad" she sighed.

When I was 14 years old, my father died. The witch in my village tricked me in giving his soul to her to hide my ears when I got accepted in Yōso Academy. He turned into a monster before my eyes and my mother had to fight him. I don't know what happened after that.

"That witch tricked my village telling us there needs to be a sacrifice for hiding my ears in this world and turned him into a mutated animal" I clenched my fists.

"At least you don't still have your ears here" she pouted. She looked above at her bow which was covering her ears.

"I still have my cat like abilities" I sighed. "My teeth spike up when I see rats or other preys" I chuckled.

"I know the feeling" she smiled softly.

"Karma, stop dressing like that okay or I'll tell your mom" I had a devilish smile.

"Okay" she trembled.

"Okay, get your teammates together!" Mrs. Magi glared me and my schoolmates.

I sighed looking at them teaming up with others. I guess I'm not wanted....

Nadia poked me in my back. "Join my team" she smiled.

I felt my heart racing as I looked at her. "Me?" I smiled nervously.

"Yeah, Elisa and Blaire are already on my team" she said.

"That means we need three more" I sighed.

She looked at a boy looking really pissed off. "Come on, let's talk to him!" she dragged me along with her to him. He doesn't look like he likes people but he looks familiar.

He raised his eyebrow looking at us. "A Water and Fire wizard friendly to each other....interesting" he said in a weird accent.

"British!" she screamed, hugging herself.

"Huh?" we smiled nervously.

"Oh....you don't know British people" she sighed. "I'm Nadia Toski" she smiled.

"I'm Jayson Lawrence, Metal wizard" he smirked. Jayson, he can't be...

"You are from the highest class in this society?" I asked.

"Yeah" he chuckled.

I smiled nervously remembering I'm from the lowest class. I'm going to die..

"Something wrong?" she said looking at me worriedly.

"Nah....I'm just gonna find a Earth and Light wizard" I sighed.

I looked at Karma staring at rabbit outside. "Karma.....remember, if they find out who you are-"

"I'll be kicked out" she spoke softly.

"So.....wanna join our team?" I smiled.

"I'm looking like someone that would be annoying" she looked at her clothes.

"Don't worry our teammates are really nice" I chuckled.

She smiled softly walking with me to Nadia and our other teammates.

"I got a Light wizard!" Elisa screamed, holding a little girl with her hands. "Light wizard, get it" she wiggled her eyebrows.

"Boooo" Jayson said with a bored expression on his face.

"I'm scared" the girl trembled.

"It's okay, we are nice people" Nadia smiled.

"I'm....Julee Andrews" the girl smiled, swinging her arms.

"She's so cute!" Elisa hugged her.

"Tst...." Blaire folded her arms and did not look at us.

"She's not cute?" Karma smirked.

"I didn't say that" Blaire sighed.

"Blaire, look at her!" Elisa giggled.

"I'm leaving" Blaire sighed, walking out of the hall.

"Guys don't worry, even Blaire has a cute side. I mean look at her face!" Elisa screamed.

We looked at Blaire and realized she was blushing extremely.

"Woah....." Jayson smiled nervously.

Nadia looked at the notice board and tore off one of the quests.

"Koneko tribe needs help with a mutated animal" she sighed.

My heart raced staring at them.

"I heard some wizards went on that quest and didn't come back" Elisa laughed evilly.

"Really?" Julee trembled.

They looked at me and Karma worriedly.

"Guys....everything is okay?" Nadia smiled nervously.

"Yeah...." we spoke softly. My freaking ears will appear if we entered my tribe!

"We need to disguise as one of them" she smirked.

"I wanna have dog ears!" Elisa hugged herself.

"I will do the spell but the ears that will appear is base on your personality" Jayson sighed. He looked out the large glass window. "I hate those creatures anyway. They are slaves and they stay that way"

What's with this guy?

Karma and I gulped. Nadia hugged us together and giggled. "Don't worry, I read about them. They are the cutest people I have even seen"

She doesn't understand...
