9. You're Cinderella.

* Lora Croffard's POV *

I woke up with something heavy on my shoulder. I turned my head only to see a hand. When I turn my head to the other side, I almost had a heart attack. But then I realised that this is actually nice.

His face looks like a puppy's. It's funny how perfectly I fit in the hole of his arm. His so warm and cosy, I could stay here all day.

Then it hit me. The broken glass and cracking gates. Someone was here last night. Someone who knew that Alex and Nash was out. Did he take something? Or was it a she? There's so many questions, questions without answers.

Where's Mary? When is she coming back? I needed to clean up the hallway before the kids come down and realize that something is wrong.

I slowly took Liam's arms off me and tippy toe'ed to the kitchen. I grabbed a broom and went to where the window lied in pieces.

"Lora?" I flew up and turn around to face Daniel. "What the hell?"

"Daniel, please keep it down."

"What happened, Lora?"

"I don't know. I fell asleep and woke up to the sound of glass breaking. Please help me clean up here. If Chloe or your mom sees this, it's over." We quickly cleaned up the broken glass.

"Do you see anything missing?" He looked around, scanning over the surroundings.

"No, I can't recognized anything gone. You know we have a security camera up here."

"Really?" I'm shocked to say the least.

"Yes, but only Alex has access to it."

"That's great, Daniel!"

"What's so great?" Daniel and I spin around only to see Liam standing there. His hair is messy and his shirt has slightly shifted revealing lines on his body.

"There's security cameras, so we can see exactly what happened here last night."

"Thank goodness," he said, relieved.

"Okay, whatever you do, don't let Chloe find or see the broken window. Daniel, when is your mom and Alex returning?"

"Mom would probably be home by tomorrow and Alex later at nine."

"That's in two hours. It's fine, thank you Liam, but I think we'll be fine now."

"Lora, there is no way on earth I'm leaving you guys here alone when there's easy access for anyone. I'll stick around here."

"There's still some of your clothes in my closet, if you want to wash up," Daniel suggested. I heard Angy starting to cry and went to go fetch her.

"Hi, baby." I picked her up. "Shh, you hungry?" She continued to cry. "Come, let's get you something to eat." In the kitchen I took out some kind of baby food and put it in the microwave to heat up. Meanwhile I bounced a bit to calm Angy down.

The microwave made a ping sound and I took out her food and placed her in her baby chair with the little table attached.

"Here comes the plane... Brrrmmm." She finally stopped sobbing and opened her mouth. She ate spoon by spoon as I continued to be a random plane.

"You're going to be a great mother someday." I looked up and saw Liam leaning on the doorframe.

"You think?"

"Yes, just look what you're doing. Even Mary can't get her to eat sometimes."

"Maybe because I'm intimidating."

"That's one of the least likely reasons."

"Then what?"

"You're Cinderella."

* Liam Lockwood's POV *

"Chloe! Daniel! Liam! Breakfast!" Lora shouted from the kitchen table. We all gathered and took our seats. Lora put some eggs and bacon on the table and helped Chloe with plating up.

"Have some," she told me and Daniel.

We ate in silence, well everyone except for Chloe, who's babbling about unicorns or something. My mind is not on the subject. It's with a sertain blond headed girl sitting across from me. She's into the subject and I can see how the corners of her lips curl upwards.

It's the first time I can inspect every detail of her face. Her bright blue eyes reflected the morning light and her teeth shone like a crystal river. Her skin is smooth with a light pink gloss. Her eyebrows are in a good shape and her makeup light but neat.

"Liam, dude, I'm talking to you over here."

I snapped out of my daydreaming. "Sorry what?"

"I asked how are you holding up with the football season?"

"So far so good."

"You play football?" Lora looked suprised

"Yeah, for years now."

"I use to play you know, with my-" She cut off looking down at her hands

"Who?"

"Um...nobody."

* Lora Croffard's POV *

"Go, Lora!" the kids yelled from the sidelines. Yes, you're thinking correctly. We're now playing football, well sort-of. It's only me against Liam. Luckily I have the ball. Daniel is blowing the whistle.

When he blew it I sprinted towards the backline, which is a rope we got from somewhere in the garage. I ran, until a pair of arms pulled me to the ground.

"Hey, what are you doing?!" I yelled at him.

"I'm playing football, princess. You should wake up." He snatched the ball out of my hand and turned in the opposite direction. Oh no he didn't!

I sped up to him, jumping on his back. As strong as he his, he falls forward, dropping the ball in the process and I yet again grabbed the ball and scored a goal!

"Take that, mister football player."

"You cheated, princess."

"A girl's got to do what a girl's got to do."

"Oh thank you, princess, you bruised my ego." I took a girly curtsy, giving him a smirk.

"I have my ways."

"What the hell happened to the window?"

"Alex! Finally!" We told him what happend last night and he just shook his head.

"Seriously, the only night I leave you guys something like this happens."

"Yeah, whoever did this knew that. Can you figure out who it was on camera?"

"I'll have a look and will let you know."

"Thanks, Alex."

*********

I'm sitting in the steps leading to the lounge with my nose in a book. I looked up to see Liam taking a place next to me. He has a guitar in his hands and a smirk on his face.

"You play?" I asked.

"Yeah, do you play anything."

"Nope." That's not quite true, though, but he doesn't have to know. "I always wanted to okay guitar. I've done it a few times when I was little, but when time went on that faded away."

"I can teach you if you want."

"Really?"

"Yeah, come on." He moved closer to me and put the guitar on my lap. "Okay, show me what you got so far."

"No, I mean. I can't actually play a song or anything. It's been years."

"Just feel it, let your fingers do the work, not your head." I took a deep breath and let my left hand press to the arm of the guitar. My right hand started to move over the strings and sounds echoed in and out of the hole.

I played and played until I ran out of ideas and I ended it by brushing downwards. I looked up to Liam and he had a unreadable expression on his face.

"So?"

"Wow, that was actually really good. You sure you haven't play alot?"

"Last time I've played was when I was ten."

"Wow, you're talented, that's for sure. Okay here's what you can change. He put his arm over my shoulder, reaching for the strings.

His body is pressing against mine and his heat ran through my body. It's hard to concentrate on what he's doing when he's this close to me.

"You've got to relax you're stroking hand. The magic lies in it. If it's tense then your sound is going to be flat. If you give it some love and tender care it will come out like a river."

He played some notes and the sound filled the room. I put my hand over his to make him stop. His face turned into a question mark and I took the guitar from him and stood up.

"Come," I said, holding my hand out for him to take. When he stood up and I dragged him to the other side of the house where all the valuables were. I placed the guitar on a nearby stand and went to the piano in the corner.

I let go his hand, not turning or facing him. I rubbed over the wooden piano. This is the most beautiful piano I've ever played before. I might have stopped playing guitar, but I never could've stopped playing piano. I know I told Liam something else earlier.

I took a seat in front of the instrument and opened up the lit.

* Liam Lockwood's POV *

She sat in front of the piano and I dragged another chair closer, right next to the piano. She tied her hair back into a ponytail and rubbed her hands against each other. She took a deep breath and placed her hands silently on the keys for a few seconds before solo sounds came through softly.

It's beautiful, the solo notes formed a choir. It forms a union. Lora's eyes closed as her fingers moved in the perfect order.

The sound amazed me, but that's not the only thing that is so amazing. She's beautiful. More beautiful than beautiful. There are no words in this world that could explain her beauty. Everything about her is perfect. Her face, her hands, her body and the best of all, her personality. She's caring and loving, good with kids and dancing and playing instruments, also at playing football. She keeps on surprising me everytime with everything.

I think I'm in love.

I think I'm in love with Lora Croffard.
