16 Coincidently...
Part 16 Coincidently...
Aman was rolling a roti and Arnav was roasting them. Khushi was watching them smilingly, sitting on the kitchen stage. They dined her help.
"It feels good to see two criminology-based officers making rottis" She teased them.
"Hunger is common for all, madam. To fill our stomachs, we all need food... right?" Arnav said, rotating the rotti skilfully that was on the stove.
"I feel so relaxed now," Khushi said.
"Why?" Both of them asked in the same tone and looked at her.
"Didn't you say Arnav might have a family in Scotland? If he had a family, he would not learn cooking, I guess..."
"Don't conclude Khushi... family men are so skillful than the bachelors" Aman said.
Arnav hit him with the spatula laughingly.
They ate dinner together chitchatting. That was when Aman got a call. He rolled his eyes as the call was from his station.
"Yeah, tell me"
"Sir, a call came from the commissioner's office. It seems the commissioner is going to visit our station"
"Mmmm... ok, I'm coming" Aman disconnected the call.
"What happened?"
"Commissioner's visit"
"Now?"
"Yes..." Aman was about to get up, leaving the food, but Arnav clutched his hand and made him sit.
"Complete eating"
"No, ASR"
"We are working to get food only. The commissioner will not cut your head off if you go late. Complete it"
Aman ate fast and went to the police station.
Khushi cleaned the table with Arnav.
"We will go to Ashram early in the morning," Arnav said.
"Mmm"
"Go home and sleep."
Khushi looked at the watch.
"It's just 7:30... I will reach home in half an hour..."
"Mmm"
"Do you want me to leave?"
"Yeah, my wife will call me from Scotland," he said seriously.
Khushi took a remote and threw it at him. Arnav caught it and laughed. Khushi went to his room and opened his suitcase. Arnav who followed her frowned.
"What do you want?"
"Where is your passport?"
"My passport?" he removed a cover from his bag.
Khushi snatched it from him. She saw his passport on the cover. She kept it in her bag.
"What are you doing?"
"You should leave India only with me"
"Ok... but why do you need my passport?"
"You should not go leaving me"
"Oh..."
He took another cover from the bag and gave it to her.
"What's this?"
"My green card"
Khushi lifted her brows and gave it a look.
"Keep it... I can do nothing without it in Scotland..." he smiled.
As he didn't expect, she circled his waist pouting. Arnav was stuck.
"What happened?" he asked.
"Shall we go to Scotland soon?"
"We will... after the case finishes"
"Is it necessary for you to interfere in this case?"
"Isn't it?"
Khushi sighed.
"I can walk away simply but I could not be peaceful if I do that, Khushi. Being a professor, I have taught my students to root out the criminals. How could I just leave Aman helplessly when he needs me?"
"After listening about Aarav and seeing your preparations to be alert, I feel nervous"
"Do one thing..."
"What?"
"You go to Scotland. I will arrange your visa. I will come there, finishing the case as soon as possible"
"How are you so confident after analyzing the case and the cruelty of Aarav?"
"Aarav may be smart but there are people smarter than him in the world"
"Is it you?"
"I don't say that until I do that"
"Mmm..." She broke the hug and said,
"I'm leaving"
Arnav again circled her waist and nodded no.
"Don't we go to Ashram tomorrow early in the morning?"
"Stay with me... we will go together"
Khushi widened her eyes.
"You can trust me. I will be a good boy" he said seriously.
"Then, why should I stay here?" she asked controlling her laughter.
"Then I can be a worse boy"
"Who really you are, good or bad?"
"If you ask me about me in common, I'm indeed a good boy but if you ask me about staying away from you, I don't know because I'm not sure. I don't know if I can be within my limit"
"Then, I should leave..."
"Why? Don't you trust me?"
She pressed the scar on his left eyebrow.
"whaaat?'
"I'm checking if it's true"
"Means?"
"What if you are Aarav in disguise?" she laughed teasing him.
Arnav rolled his eyes.
"Do you believe I'm Arnav?"
"Yes..."
"Know one thing... he won't be talking like me...! he will get into action without wasting time"
She hugged him again.
"He is so scary"
"Mmm..."
"Catch him soon"
"I will try. You be careful. Keep the things given by me with you always"
"Mmm..."
"Ok, go home carefully. We will go to Ashram tomorrow"
"Don't you want me to stay here?"
Arnav nodded no.
"Why?"
"You may think I'm Aarav"
"No...I won't...! Don't I know the difference?"
"I'm glad if you know that"
"Shall we get married tomorrow itself?" She asked.
Arnav looked at her wondering.
"My heart doesn't want to go away from you"
"Very soon it will beat with mine"
"Mmm... I'm leaving" She said sadly.
"Ok..."
"Bye..." she detached from him.
Arnav nodded ok. Khushi removed his passport from her bag and gave it to him. Arnav took it from him smilingly. Khushi walked towards the door. Arnav followed her. Khushi was about to clutch the doorknob, but Arnav pulled her towards him. Khushi looked at him perplexed. Arnav leaned toward her lips and touched them with his. Khushi was shocked at first. She closed her eyes slowly and stood motionless. Neither Arnav went ahead nor did he apart from her lips. Even Khushi didn't feel to get detached from him. Both were standing keeping their lips on another's.
After a few seconds, Khushi parted her lips. So did Arnav. Both of them kissed one another at a time. They shared a passionate kiss and broke it afterward. They looked at each other without blinking. Arnav tucked her hair. Khushi held his hand and kissed his palm. She looked at him emotionally.
"Wear the burqa" Arnav said.
Khushi nodded and wore it.
"Bye"
Arnav blinked his eyes. Khushi left Aman's place. Arnav closed his eyes and sighed.
.......
On the other side,
Rakesh rushed inside the house.
"What happened?" Aarav asked.
"I saw the police in the Sarojini Market Area. they were inquiring about you"
"Is it?"
"Yes, it seems, the police are searching all the areas one by one"
Aarav became thoughtful.
"Think something dude. If we stay here, we will get caught" Rakesh said nervously.
"We will leave this place"
"That's a good decision"
"We should hide in a place where police can't smell us"
"Where will we search such a place?"
"No need to search... I already know such a place"
"What place?"
"My Nani's Ashram" Aarav said.
"Ashram?" Rakesh shrank his eyes.
"Yes... only old people live there. They will do only poojas all the time. If we enter the Ashram, we will be safe for many days... maybe, for months"
"Is it?"
"Yes..."
"How do you know your Nani is there?"
"I find it out from our neighbour"
"Did you meet your neighbour?"
"No... I know their landline number. I just inquired not showing my identity and talked like my Nani's relative. That was when they said my Nani is in an Ashram"
"If it is an Ashram, we will not get non-veg there. Right?"
Aarav nodded yes.
"How could we be without eating Non-veg? I will die, dude?"
"You will die in the police encounter if you stay here. Is it ok?" Aarav asked seriously.
Rakesh sighed.
"Will your Nani be helpful for us?"
"No way... she will never help me"
"Then, how can we go there?"
"We will have to find a way to go there"
"How will you do that?"
"I'm going to meet my Nani"
"But why?"
"Then only we will get the idea to enter the Ashram"
"Do you think it will work?"
"We should make it work. We won't get such a safe place to hide. At first, it will be a little harder but we will find loopholes and turn it in our favour"
"Ok then... we will go there"
"Call our friends and tell them about our idea. They should be ready anytime. We may need them"
"Ok..."
Aarav ALSO decided to go to Ashram to meet Nani the next day.
To be continued...
