Okay. So after doing some reading, apparently Xeno Trunks from the Super Dragon Ball Heroes series was originally supposed to have a Super Saiyan 4 form instead of a Super Saiyan God form.

The reason as to why they swapped to SSG rather than SSJ4 was all because of a hair design. The conflict of him either having purple hair or hair similar to Goku and Vegeta's.

Apparently aesthetic is a "huge" deal where the series and characters are created in Japan

I find it stupid because they could have just gave him Purple hair and called it a day like how many fanart people had done for their versions of Trunks and his GT counterpart.

But oh well, people were happy in the end.
