ERICA P.O.V

The last thing I made Xavier do since our last encounter at his house a week ago was to make him promise to return to work. I was disappointed because he didn't make an appearance at work the next day. But he came to work 2 days ago, he had kept his promise. I was elated because it meant that I didn't have to do all the work and effectively run the company.

I still wonder what those pictures could have possibly shown for his eyes to widen and for him to hide them from me. I really wanted to see them, but that's his and Alison's personal matter, and I respect their privacy.

Liz is constantly bugging me with her apologies but I'm not going to forgive her so easily. She left me alone! I still want to kill her for that.

On another note, today is Saturday. Finally the weekend! I'm currently packing my things ready to leave. I think I should leave early today, it's getting dark plus the weather is gloomy. It can rain any moment and I didn't bring an umbrella with me. I got up from my seat and walked to Xavier's office to give him the last file he needs to sign. I knocked on the cabin and went inside when he spoke, ''Come in.''

He was writing something down when he looked up at me and smiled, ''Hey, shouldn't you be heading home?''

''Yeah, I just wanted to give you this,'' and I handed him the file. He took it from my hand and kept it on his desk.

''Just sign the papers and give them to Ron, he'll take care of the rest.'' I beamed.

''Okay.'' He went back to his writing. I huffed and turned around, will he ever talk to me properly? I was about to leave the cabin when he called me from behind, ''Erica!'' I turned around with annoyance, ''Yup?''

''Will you, I mean only if you want to, only if you could, hang out with me for a while? I want to take you somewhere.'' He spoke so fast.

''Xavier I-''

''Oh no! It's okay if you can't come! I'm sorry for bothering you anyway.'' He smiled, which I could tell was fake.

''No Xavier I-''

''No I'm really sorry I understand you have your weekend ahead, go enjoy an-''

''God Xavier! Let me speak! I was saying I would love to hang out with you.'' I smiled and he smiled back genuinely. I walked out with a smile on my face, I stood outside the building waiting for him to come. He walked out of the building after 5 minutes.

''Wait here, let me get my car.'' He told me and I nodded. He went to the side of the building and disappeared into the parking area. I looked at my watch, it was 7:30.

''What are you doing here?'' I turned around startled to find Ron standing there with his arms crossed.

''I'm here waiting for Xavier, he is taking me out somewhere.''

''Oh, so it's a date huh?'' He frowned at me which was uncharacteristic of him.

''Date? Oh no! We are just hanging out. Like friends.''

''Sure.'' He scoffed. What is it with him? He's being rude to me without any reason.

''What's wrong Ron?'' I asked him but he just turned around and began walking away without an answer. Did he ignore me? Exactly at that time, Xavier came with his beautiful Ferrari. His choice of cars never ceased to amaze me. He unlocked the door for me to sit in. I smiled, got in and buckled my seatbelt.

''Ready?'' He asked.

''Yup,'' I answered.

The ride was silent, but after half an hour of driving, I grew impatient.

''So where are we going?'' I spoke but he didn't answer. He continued his driving.

What is it with people ignoring me today?

I crossed my arms in irascibility. I knew he was not going to talk to me, so fighting with him was worthless. After another half an hour, he stopped the car. I looked at the surrounding's causing my eyes to widen. Why has he brought me to the cemetery?

''Uh-Xavier?" I looked at him but he didn't answer. He just got out of the car.

What the hell!

I unbuckled my seatbelt and followed him. He began walking towards the cemetery without waiting for me. I literally had to run to catch up with him. Damn he was fast. He entered the cemetery gate with me close behind. He kept walking and I saw him come to a halt in front of a grave. I kept walking and stood behind him.

''Xavier! You..... Know you could've....waited for me..... to catch up.'' I said trying to catch my breath.

''Erica.'' He spoke softly. I came and stood next him, looking into his beautiful eyes. I nodded asking for him to continue. He didn't say anything but instead, he pointed his finger at the grave in front of us. I looked at the direction where his finger was pointing.

Sapphire Diaz

Sapphire? His first love? He brought me here to show me her grave, but why? Is there some kind of a hidden motive? I wanted to ask him but as soon as I looked at his face, my heart shattered. He was crying and he was about to break down. I instantly hugged him.

''Xavier,'' I whispered.

''Erica she left me.'' He whispered, almost inaudible.

''No she didn't. She didn't leave you, she's there in your heart.'' I rubbed circles on his back.

''She did leave...'' By now he started sobbing loudly. My heart was broken, the world's most powerful billionaire is crying in front of me. I want to make everything perfect. I want everything to go back to normal, but I can't.

''Xavier, you know we can't do anything about it?" I spoke in a whisper.

''Wh-why.'' He spoke.

''Because that's how life is you...you have to move on with your life.'' I didn't want to be too blunt because he was in a sensitive state. I didn't want to say the wrong thing making him crawl back into his shell.

''I ca-can't.'' He whimpered.

''You have to Xavier, you have to.'' I soothed him. He didn't speak anything after that. But he did stop crying. We both sat on the bench and he kept staring at the floor, I had to take his mind off Sapphire. But I don't think it's possible because her grave is right in front of us!

''Erica?'' My head snapped towards him.

''You know, you resemble her very much,''

I raised my eyebrow at him, I resemble her? ''What do you mean?''

''Your features are just like hers. But it's not only the outer beauty but also the inner one. You're just as innocent as her.'' He smiled. My face turned beet red.

''Well, if I resemble her so much, then I can think highly of myself because your princess was one of the best people on earth,'' I spoke with buoyancy and confidence.

''You didn't even know her,'' Xavier looked confused.

''I did read her diary, which told me a lot about what she thought and what she did,'' I smirked but he just chucked.

''Okay, I guess we should get going.'' He said getting up. I stood up but shook my head saying no.

He raised an eyebrow at me, ''You don't want to go?''

''Yes I do, but,'' I looked around, ''Wait here,'' I ran towards a nearby rose plant. There were beautiful red roses dotted all over the place and I looked for the most beautiful one. I plucked the biggest and the prettiest rose of them all, the best one for an amazing human being.

I ran back to Xavier who had a confused expression on his face. ''Erica what are you doing?'' He asked. I rolled my eyes and held his hand pulling him towards Sapphire's grave.

''Hi Sapphire, I'm Erica. I'm sorry I wasn't able to introduce myself properly. But well here I am! This little boy of yours is creating some real problems,'' I said pointing towards Xavier. ''He needs a spanking because he is getting naughty day by day. But then again, don't worry, I'll take care of it." I turned to face him, "And him." I smiled. I placed the rose on her grave, closed my eyes, joined my hands and prayed for her. I turned around to find Xavier standing there with wide eyes. I went and stood next to him.

''What?'' I asked him.

''You know you're crazy, right?''

''Why?'' I asked him.

''Well the first reason is because of your little act right now,'' his smile turned into a smirk. "Secondly, because you plucked the rose from a ''Do not pluck'' area." He stated.

''What!'' I yelled. I turned around to find a board to see 'DO NOT PLUCK' written. How did I not see that? It's so big. I turned around again to find Xavier still smirking.

''Oh shut up you!'' I huffed.

''You're crazy. REAL crazy.'' He said whilst still smirking.

I rolled my eyes at him, ''Let's go jerk.'' I scoffed.

"Let's go, babe.'' He winked making me blush. I realized I was blushing a lot when with him. He held my hand and we walked out of the cemetery, but as soon as we reached the gate it began raining heavily.

''Xavier we need to run,'' I looked up at him my eyes meeting his eyes.

''Erica. It look's like Sapphire's saying goodbye.'' He smiled ignoring my previous comment.

''What?'' I asked him totally confused.

''Nothing, let's go.'' He held my hand and we walked to his car.

What a perfect start to the weekend.
