Ouran High School Host Club: Tamaki Suoh x Reader

°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°∞°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°

Tamaki Suoh, son of Ouran Academy's Chairmen and 'King' of the schools host club. A bit of an eccentric, and quite bold. But never the less, a gentleman in his own regard. Despite his way with the ladies, even if he didn't have the intention of causing mini wars between his guests who have 'fallen' for him.

But I suppose I am no better than they. I too admire him.

I'm not one of the host clubs guests, to be honest the whole foundation kind of bothers me to some extent.

I have seen the ways he's acted though, outside of that room. The apparent abandoned music room.

Though at times overbearing and loud, he can be quite gentle and compassionate. Wanting nothing more than to make women happy. Which was his idea of making the host club sure, but it just felt different.

He's childish and is always quite bright and cheerful, until Haruhi says something that puts him down. But there's just something about that smile...

Someone who's only purpose is to make others happy while wearing a smile that wide... can only be hurting on the inside.

I was rather good at reading people from a distance. Always knowing what they secretly felt, even if I've never interacted with them before.

I had only spoken to him once... and that was because I was being held up by a bunch of males. I was going to be late to class and they wouldn't let me get to my locker.

Tamaki had shown up, being as chivalrous as always. Telling them that their behaviour was no way to treat a fine young lady, and had politely asked them to leave me alone, otherwise he would go to the headmaster.

Once they were gone, he asked if I was alright. The only thing I could have done was nod and mutter a quick thank you.

I couldn't have stayed more, I wouldn't have tried to look him in the eye. To him... I was just another damsel in destress, another ordinary girl who roams the halls. I was no one.

If only I knew how wrong that self proclaimed statement was.

(L/n) (Y/n), a very quiet, kind and intuitive girl. She had transferred to the academy a few months back in time after moving from (home town), and has made many small impressions.

Tamaki had noticed her the first day she had transferred. She hadn't worn the same yellow dress that the rest of the females wore, but yet a feminine version of the male uniform. A grey skirt that reached her knees replaced the dress pants.

She showed nothing but grace and kindness. Her voice soft, gentle and silky smooth as the precious sound left her even softer looking lips. When she would smile it would lighten up the room, even if it were her small bashful grins as she'd clutch her sketchbook to her chest.

He couldn't help but wonder what sort of things she drew in that sketchbook. When minding her own business once all her work was said and done, she'd be back to doodling whatever it is that she draws.

He's only ever spoken to her once. And the only words he received was a quick thank you. He had hoped she would one day visit the host club, that way he could have spoken to her more (seeing as they didn't have any classes together) but she hadn't.

"Is something wrong with the boss?" Questioned Hikaru.

"He's been staring out the window for a while." His twin pointed out, agreeing with his brother.

"If I had to guess, he's probably thinking about Lady (L/n)." Kyoya said pushing up his glasses before continuing to jolt down notes in his black book.

"(Y/n) senpai?" Haruhi questioned with an arched eyebrow. "I wasn't aware that the two of them spoke." She said thoughtfully, holding her chin.

"They don't. He simply... admires her."

"Do you know (N/n)-chan, Haru-chan?" Hunny asked, holding Usa-chan, sitting on Mori's shoulders.

"Well yeah, I guess. We've talked a couple times in between classes and after school." She answered, catching the blonds attention.

"I've actually asked if she wanted to come visit the host club, but she wasn't interested. She doesn't like seeing other girls get so worked up, I honestly don't blame her."

"What do you know about her, Haruhi??" The twins asked curiously. Tamaki listening to any little detail. She had always shied away from him, never throwing herself at him like any other girl, and other then that day, he hasn't heard from her since.

Once thinking she had told anything that seemed relevant to mention, or things that didn't seem all too personal that (Y/n) might have wanted to keep private, Tamaki left the music room. Leaving many of the hosts confused.

Leaving the building, Tamaki found who he had been looking for. She looked as delicate as the roses she was surrounded by, looking ever so peaceful and content as she had her eyes trained on the novel she was reading. Sitting quietly at the pink, almost white, gazebo.

"(L/n) san." Tamaki cleared his throat, sending her a gentle smile once her eyes met with his, looking away from her book.

"Suoh san. Hello." Her voice was soft, and calming. "Is there something you needed?"

Always the polite one, aren't you?

"Not at all. I just thought you could have used the company. If you don't mind, of course." He wouldn't intrude if he was not wanted.

"No that's fine. You may stay if you ever so wish it."

Tamaki took this as a good sign, not being rejected to being around her, taking a seat across from her.

She went back to reading her book, Tamaki couldn't help but notice that the title was a French one.

"Tu parle Français?" He asked with a small smile. She looked up at him and saw the nostalgia and slight hurt, but yet even joy in his eyes as he asked her the question.

"Oui, je comprends le Français." She replied before putting her book down. "I don't know why you've suddenly come to talk to me Tamaki san, but I don't want you faking your smiles."

He was taken aback by her words. "Whatever do you mean, princess?"

She sent him a knowing smile. "You miss someone dear to you. I can see it in your eyes, they... no she... was very important."

"My, you certainly have an act for reading people."

She said nothing in reply to that statement. "You don't have to say anything, I just don't want to see that facade you put up."

"No, I wouldn't mind telling you. How about over dinner some time? No fake smiles, or host club princely attitude." He promised, hoping to find that person to share his hardships within (Y/n).

"I'd like that, very much." She smiled sincerely, a light blush dusting her cheeks cutely, causing the blond male to mirror the expression.

The End
