Chapter 53

~

~Tobirama's POV~

Trying not to kill people but to injure them immovable was proving to be a chore since there were so many men in the Tanogata clan. Homura and Koharu were also getting tired and I was worried about Niyo running out of energy and chakra and it showed when I began to miss some attacks – I wanted to wrap up this end of the battle soon so I could aid my wife.

"Sensei!" I took a sharp turn and pushed my sword in a few men along the way when I heard Saru's voice that conveyed distress. It was Niyo, her chakra was weakening and her kekkei genkai was beginning to get out of control before completely splattering where it was and Saru lit it on fire.

"Go, we will handle it here." Koharu told me and Homura nodded in assurance. I took their offer and left the battle to them, hurrying to Niyo but I was a second too late and cursed myself for it when a kunai injured her shoulder. It was strange that it was her shoulder that was hurt but she was clutching her abdomen in what seemed like excruciating pain. I made some clones to take care of the sides and to give me undisturbed time with my wife.

"Niyo, can you hear me?" I asked putting one of my arms under her head to support it and prevent it from touching the ground, my other hand went to her hand that was holding the fabric over her mid. She was breathing deeply probably to try and null some pain but it didn't seem to be working.

"S-s...some...-something is...." She opened her eyes briefly to look at me. I couldn't make out the meaning of her words until she uttered one more thing that fit the pieces, "m-moving." I put my hand on her belly and sensed for what was ailing her but it escaped me the first few times and became visible only seconds before black horns erupted from her belly which had her cry out in pain push me away.

It was the first time in my life that I didn't know what to do. Anija was better at such situations where the actual cause needed to be determined for a long term solution – right now he wasn't here though and I was at a loss. I was just looking at Niyo breathing and screaming in pain and it felt like I had been looking at her for hours while it was just seconds in the reality.

The laughter of a certain bastard brought me to my senses and I was in front of Niyo, as her shield in a second when her father came in view.

"What have you done?!" I demanded, angry and sure that it was his doing. "Spill before I kill you."

"Even if you kill me, the jutsu won't deactivate. She will just die suffering, do you want that?" I clenched my jaw trying not to kill the man right then and there, I didn't want to risk his words being true. I made three more clones to guard Niyo and to give her chakra in order to dull as much pain as it was possible for me to do.

"What do you want?"

"Oh if my daughter doesn't join me then I will make sure she can't use the kekkei genkai ever again as well, and maybe, steal it too. I planted this jutsu when I had that dumb Yamanaka wench kill the unborn spawn. I am surprised you naïve hokage didn't notice this. Guess he really is naïve."

"You bastard...!" Before I had the chance, Niyo uttered the exact same words I wanted to, only her voice was really strained. She looked about ready to slip into unconsciousness, the kind people don't wake up from, she worried me but more than that, I was bewildered when she stood up, pushing my clones away as well as the real me and limped to the clan head who was very busy laughing at her struggle. I was a bit frightened by the resolve Niyo was showing, she was injured badly, she could barely stand but that was not stopping her and when I tried to stop her, I didn't find it in me to betray her. Whatever she was planning on doing, she was not going to appreciate me stopping her.

"Oh and what do you think you are doing?" The bastard laughed again.

"C-coming to...kill you."

Was she really?

"You talk like you can do anything in your situation. I thought you would be smarter considering you inherited the kekkei genkai but man are you stupid."

"Runs in the blood I guess..." What happened next was all but expected or natural. Niyo fell just feet away from her father whose laughter roared in the halls until he started choking on it and fell to his knees.

"W-wha-?" He wasn't able to finish and started vomiting...oil?

"You asshole, you really thought you could get away with everything you have done to me?" Niyo said, her voice dangerously low as she got up on her knees and breathed. She turned her head to look at me and winked.

What?

What was happening?

"You b-"

"Before you say 'you bitch,' tell me where my mother is, and I might spare you the worst of tortures." She grabbed her father by his hair and brought his face up while oil still fell from his mouth. He looked scared.

"You will never find her-" She slapped him quiet.

"Not the right answer. Try again."

"B-b-basement-"

"See, that was easy!" Niyo chuckled and out of nowhere summoned her sword and decapitated the man, his head in her hand as his body fell to the ground, silencing every fight. "Catch!" She threw the head to the nearest Tanogata shinobi who recoiled and moved out of the way so it fell to the ground with a loud splat.

Just what did she...

~Niyo's POV~

Everybody was quiet and scared shitless when I threw my father's head on the ground. I looked at Tobirama who was just as confused and weirded out like everybody else. I went to him and dropped myself on the ground beside him, scratching the back of my head thinking where to start the explanation.

"When your clones pull out these horns, bandage the wound quickly, I don't want to lose too much blood and pass out without explaining anything to you." I told Tobirama who nodded, still confused but got out the bandages and his clones each grabbed the horn – there were four.

"On three." I nodded and took a deep breath. "One, two-"

"Fuck! You lying piece of-! Fuck!" I tried regaining some composure while my husband bandaged me and his clone disappeared. "Hey, you lot!" I addressed the Tanogata. "Your leader is dead and your manpower has dwindled by a great percentage so don't be idiots and pledge your allegiance to me and I will give you security in Konoha. I am really the only person qualified to be your leader."

"We stopped saying 'pledge your allegiance' some twenty years back..." Hiruzen muttered in the distance.

"It's either that or I annihilate all of you and you know I can."

"You murdered my mother! How can I trust what you say?!" A pipsqueak kind of voice screamed from the back.

"I didn't murder no mothers kid." I answered and watched as the kid pushed around to get in front.

"I had a curse mark that would only disappear if my mother was to die... So stop lying!" His words clicked in my brain.

"Oh! Hey, your mother is alive, and well at that too. We have her safe in Konoha and we managed to get her free of the curse as well. You can meet her when we go back."

"W-what?"

"Yeah so all of you, make your choice while I explain things to my husband here." I turned to Tobirama. "So yes..." I began.

I had discussed some possibilities of the meeting's outcome with Hashirama-sama when he brought the topic up during my healing session and when he was giving me the medicine. I had asked him to let me see the Tanogata jutsu scrolls for a quick skim and there I found something the jutsu my father had tried to use on me, to steal the kekkei genkai. That jutsu was only possible for someone who shared the same blood as the one with the kekkei genkai user and it was to steal, just what my father was doing.

The jutsu he planted in me was the preliminary basis for the stealing – if I were to be rendered immovable, he could bluff and take advantage of the situation but what he didn't know was that I knew the counter to his jutsu. When the jutsu was active, the caster was pretty much useless in terms of moving and fighting and all he had left were bluffs. While I was in genuine pain from his jutsu, I had to begin preparations for my jutsu as well. All I did was exploit the chakra connection between me and my father and overload it with oil and since we shared the same blood, I was successful in a quick transfer. My forceful invasion with oil burst his chakra system and caused internal damage as well which resulted my father in puking oil, since it was pretty much the only thing in his system at that point. I had to fake fall to distract my father from finding out my real intentions.

"You could have told me..." Tobirama complained and pouted. I pinched his cheeks not caring who was watching.

"I am sorry, I really couldn't. I needed your fresh surprise." He hugged me. "Ouch, dude, the injuries are very real though." I patted his back when the response was an angry grunt.

"How do you plan on solving this mess? Don't tell me you know that too and haven't told me." Tobirama said frowning.

"Let's just give them time first."
