~Niyo's POV~

Calm the fuck down Niyo. Your chakra is so obviously turbulent!

I was trying to scold myself into sobriety. This flustered state was very new to me and not welcome at all. I received summons to bacchan's cabin and I knew what was up. I was happy and slightly nervous but my legs were extremely jelly-like and my chakra was all over the place. I had to calm down before I went to bacchan.

Grabbing a hair-tie, I pulled my hair back and braided them and changed into a fresh shirt before I stepped out of my cabin. All the while I was walking to my destination, my eyes were glued to my feet while I tried to make efforts to calm myself.

I am the strongest here for fuck's sake! I cannot allow myself to be this jittery! Get a grip!

Consequence of me not watching where I was going, my head went straight into a tree and as much as it hurt, it made my nerves settle down. Guess I'd be adopting this method of calming myself down from now on. Knocking on the back door, I entered bacchan's cabin and took my place a little behind her on the raised platform and kept my eyes down.

Nobody was saying anything and I had restricted my chakra to sense any disruptions or patterns in chakra all around the room. "Niyo you know why he is here, don't you?" Bacchan spoke all of a sudden and it startled me but I handled it like a professional.

"Yes." My voice was low.

"Then get out and explain things to him." I nodded and slowly raised my head to look at the person in front of me.

I didn't know why but I was slightly afraid of meeting his eyes but once I did, I was serene. All my nervousness and anxiety before this was gone in an instant and I was calm. Tobirama offered me his hand and gestured me to take it, which I did, not wasting a second. Hashirama-sama was there as well and after a bow to both the elders, I walked out of the cabin with Tobirama leading the way, our hands still connected.

"You are five days early." I commented remembering that I gave him a week to think this through but he just arrived here after two days.

"I didn't need to think. I pretty much agreed to it at the moment you asked." We were walking out of the inhabited area and to the thicker part of the forest, knowing we would have some privacy there.

"So before anything else, let me brief you on the rules bacchan asked me to."

"Alright."

"Umm, first is that we both have ten days in total to arrive at an agreement with each other, that is ten days to know each other to see whether we are compatible or not. In case of an agreement, everything else like marriage dates, venue, dresses, guests etcetera is decided after the ten day period in presence of bacchan and an elder from the groom side, which would be Hashirama-sama in your case and of course our views are to be held in the highest esteem."

"Sensible."

"Yes." I sat down first in the clearing we walked onto. "We are allowed to meet as much as we wish during to the ten days but after it, if anything is decided positively, you would be asked to refrain from participating in any life-threatening missions and my duties would similarly be reduced to prevent any harm until the parties in interest are married, a bullshit rule if you ask me. Also we will not have the luxury of meeting as much after the ten days."

"I mean no disrespect but you should still be resting after using your kekkei genkai at that big a scale... it must have similarly enormous side effects."

"Yes but Hashirama-sama gave me a medicine last time and it helps so, I am recovering sooner than anticipated. Should I continue?"

"By all means."

"Alright, so this is another stupid rule but both the man and the woman are supposed to present each other with something that signifies as a token. The meaning behind it is that through this, both can know about the other person. All I have ever received were stupid hairpins and jewelry items."

"Allow me to make a difference. The rule is not stupid and anija told me about this beforehand so I have, indeed, brought something for you."

"Ok..."

"Here." Tobirama handed me the cloth wrapped something he had hanging around his shoulder this whole time. "I think you would find it to your liking."

I briefly looked at him before taking the thing from him and unwrapping the cloth, my jaw dropped at its contents. "Is it...?" My question was stuck in my throat all the while I traced my fingers along the scabbard then finally pulled out the blades. "It is..! You have no idea how long I have tried to get my hands on these and haven't had the good luck but this...! It's amazing!" Inside the scabbard were twin broadswords and not the usual kind, the ones that were forged by master blacksmiths hundreds of years ago. It was most difficult to find someone of that bloodline and have them make these beauties! "Thank you!"

"I am glad."

"Ah wait, I had something for you as well."

"You didn't have to."

"It's the rule." I said and bit my thumb, slapping my palm on the ground. "Kuchiyose no jutsu!" Out of the puff of smoke came a giant black wolf with a scroll in his mouth. "Hey baby, how's your paw?" I asked ruffling his neck.

"It will take time. And I am not a baby, stop calling me that." Varg barred his teeth at me but shifted his focus to Tobirama and narrowed his eyes.

"Ah yes, the contract." I spread open the scroll in front of Tobirama and pointed at the empty space. "Your name and fingerprints here, in your blood." While he was doing that, I took the liberty to explain the situation to him. "Varg has been my buddy for some twenty years now, I had him when he was just a pup, that's how it usually work with wolf summons. I asked him for a contract with you and he has agreed to give you his own pup. Since we are sensory type, Varg's family is very much in affinity with us being quite sensitive themselves."

"I see. A wolf summon would be a very excellent partner."

"Exactly." Once Tobirama had put all his fingers on the contract, Varg rolled it up and put his paw on it to make it disappear and when the smoke cleared, in the scroll's place was an albino wolf pup who was wagging his tail at Tobirama, begging him to be picked up. "You might want to...pick him up." I suggested and Varg sat down beside me, putting his giant head in my lap and watching his pup and Tobirama in scrutiny.

Tobirama gingerly put his hands under the puppy and picked him slightly above his head, looking into its eyes, all serious. But the puppy had other plans. It 'woof'ed and booped Tobirama's nose, a gesture of trust and acceptance in this wolf's family.

"Name him." I said and Varg's ears perked up at this.

"Z'er."

"Since she trusts you, I will too. Take good care of her." Varg said to Tobirama and disappeared.

"He's a little protective." I explained.

"I accept Z'er and I thank you for introducing me to my first summon."

"Anytime."
