Beast 

Gosh she was just so annoying. Always flaunting round looking like little Mrs. Perfect Angel all the time. What was worse was that her mutation gave her wings! Making her seem like even more of an Angel. And everyone just adored her! Hank on the other hand couldn't stand that  bubble headed blonde. Josephine and Hank hadn't gotten along from the start.The moment he had met her it was obvious they were exact opposites. He was a scientist, quiet and slightly introverted. She was aspiring to be a teacher, outgoing and talkative. 

They would constantly bicker like children and prank each other. Either he would put green hair dye in her shampoo or she would "accidentally" turn all his socks pink. The majority of the population at the school just found it funny but a few, just a handful could see the affection behind their bickering. 

Such as Professor Xavier, he knew that the feelings that were coming to both Josephine and Hank were new to them and the way they reacted was to push them away and ignore them. Quite typical for their young minds.

And now the X men which included both Hank and Josephine as well were put on a night tine mission. They were fighting against anti mutant workers in an abandoned warehouse that they used as their base where they conducted illegal experiments on mutants. But there was a problem, one of the psychotic anti mutant workers had just started and fire some how and the place was starting to burn.

Hank was sprinting to get out but he stopped when he heard the familiar voice of a certain female scream out. He turned to see Josephine pinned down by one of the anti mutant workers. She was not necessarily a small woman at 5'10 but the man that had her on the ground could have been related to a giant. The man wrapped his fingers around her neck and choked her. Hank bolted towards her, he may not have liked her or at least wouldn't openly admit it but he certainly wouldn't just let her die. He ran at them on all fours in his natural blur state and tackled the larger man on top of her. He quickly landed several blows to the man's face effectively breaking his nose. Hank let the man go so he could run away, Hank wouldn't kill anyone, not if he could help it. 

Josephine sat up trying to catch her breath as she rubbed her soon to be bruised neck. " Hank?" She said as if she couldn't believe that he would actually have helped her. 

" We have to get out of her come on " Hank said and helped her up. It was strange to be helping her but he found that he almost didn't mind the feeling. It almost felt good. Josephine nodded and started running with him but suddenly the front wall collapsed. There was only one other way out. Through the back window.

" Hank hold on" She said coughing afterwards because of the smoke but she gripped onto his shoulders and used her wings to propel them forward and out of the window breaking the glass. Outside of the warehouse was a river and obviously Hank was too heavy for her to carry and the smoke had clouded her sense so she had to drop him and they tumbled into the lake that was freezing. 

Hank managed himself against the tide but Josephine was having a difficult time staying up since her wings were becoming wet therefore becoming dead weight. Hank grabbed her around the waist and together they swam towards the shore. 

They dragged them self onto the river bank and collapsed.

Josephine was struggling to sit up while Hank laid on his back. It was silent for a while so they calmed down and caught their breath. 

" This doesn't change anything McCoy" Josephine said with a small smug smirk on her face. 

Hank rolled his eyes " Shouldn't you be thank me for saving your life and getting that big guy off of you?" Hank asked exasperated.

" I could have handled him" Josephine claimed while ringing the water out of her yet blonde hair. She also flapped out her wings like a dog so they could dry off as well.

"Gosh nothing changes with you does it!" He said shaking the water off of his blue form as he stood up.

" It's not like you're trying either McCoy!" She said standing up to look him in the eye. She was still shorter than he was. 

" God you are so annoying and aggravating!" He exclaimed getting closer to her.

" Yeah well you're nothing but a shy nerd!" She yelled I'm his face.

" Why are you so stubborn and hard headed?" He yelled back. 

Josephine didn't retort be a use he began to realize just how close they were now. Almost nose to nose and neither of them were for some reason pushing the other physically away.  

Suddenly she pressed her lips up against his. He was caught completely by surprise and hesitated before kissing back. That was when it suddenly dawned on him, the feelings he had been hiding flooded in. He kissed her deeper and cupped her cheek that was soft to the touch. 

The broke off for air and both looked down not saying anything. 

" Hank?" Josephine asked almost confused.

" Josephine?" Frank asked back looked into her beautiful hazel colored eyes.

" Thank you"
