You weren't sure how it came to this, hand-to-hand combat fighting with the enemy. Although it wasn't like it really mattered, you could heal from anything.

     You and the others were sent out on a short mission, it wasn't meant to be a big one. Raven and Hank were meant to be supervising your group. They didn't plan on there being multiple other people there. You were all told to try and knock them out only so they could be detained and taken in for questioning.

     The woman in front of you kept trying to sweep your feet from under you, it was beginning to get too repetitive. You grabbed her leg, twisting it before kicking her other leg from underneath her. She dropped to the floor, giving you time to grab one of the rocks near you, hitting it over her head as she collapsed on the ground.

     You got up quickly just as someone charged at you, you slammed your arm into their chest making them fall back. You glanced over to the others and saw that they each had someone to fight against. You were distracted for too long when the man who charged at you kicked your legs making you fall back and hit your head.

     You groaned as he got on top of you, his arms around your neck. You grabbed his wrists and dug your nails into them, he hissed, making him distracted. You flipped your body from underneath him, landing on top of him, grabbing a fist full of hair, pulling him up and slamming his face into your knee.

     Hank—who was now Beast—knocked out two people, crashing their heads together, he looked towards you and nodded, you nodded back. You turned to the side, bringing your fist up to punch one of the women in the face, her head knocked back and she yanked out a taser.

     You stared at her before she jammed it into your side, you dropped to the floor. Your body shook as it tried to heal itself. You groaned as you watched Hank push her back.

     "You okay?" He held his hand out to you.

     "Just peachy," you groaned, taking his hand. He pulled you up. "Where are they coming from?"

     "I don't know, they seem to be multiplying."

     "Like copies."

     "What?"

     "Carbon copies of the same two people."

     "Duplication."

     "Exactly." You nodded.

     You turned your head to see Kurt teleporting in quick bursts, confusing the duplicates, somehow making them drop to the floor unconscious. He looked back up to you and smiled.

     "Look out!" You turned around quickly to Peter, he was yelling at Raven, you saw her trapped in the corner. Multiple duplicates cornered her. One seemed different to the others, he seemed to be a couple of seconds quicker than the others.

     "Him." He pointed Hank to the man. "He's the original."

     "Okay, well don't do anything drastic-"

     It was too late, you charged forwards, locking his body together with your arms tightly. You growled as he tried to break free.

     "What are you doing?" Jean yelled over to you, they all watched as the duplicates of the man twitched and paused.

     "Stop hugging him!" Peter yelled as well.

     You saw Raven face, she had blood dripping down her nose. Her leg looked broken. Your grip tightened on him before you felt something wet. The duplicates began to twitch and fade.

     "What is that?" Scott mumbled as you looked at your arms around the man. Sharp porcupine needles protruded out of your skin. You let him go, the needles moved back into your body as his body dropped to the floor. Blood pooled around him, out of his mouth and wounds.

     Soon the woman's duplicates disappeared and she ran over to him, screaming and yelling for him to wake up.

     You felt like you were underwater, everything was moving in slow motion as you stepped back, his blood soaking into your uniform. The woman turned to you yelling. But you couldn't hear her. You stared at his body, you felt paralysed.

     Hank placed a hand on your shoulder, gently pulling you out of your trance. You looked to him, then to Raven who breathed heavily in shock, then back to his body.

     "I-"

     "You monster! How could you!" The woman screamed.

     "I'm so sorry." You stepped back again. "I didn't know." You shook your head. "I just wanted to protect Raven, I didn't mean for this to happen. I-"
