Professor Goodwitch was accompanying team RWBY on a routine mission when they came across a run-down cathedral with blue stained glass windows. They felt compelled to explore the interior. They were mesmerized by the beautiful columns and ornate carvings. That is until Ruby noticed a figure slumped in the corner.

Ruby: What's that over there?

They saw a suit of armor with a spear laying next to it (the one above). Glynda looked at it and a look of nostalgia brightened her eyes.

Glynda: This was the armor and weapon of (Y/N) (L/N). We were best friends when we attended Beacon. We even grew to love each other, but he disappeared after graduation.

She finished the last sentence with a tone of sorrow in her voice. Then the figure's head moved. Everyone took up a defensive position.

Glynda: And whoever stole his belongings is still alive.

Then the armor clad figure sprang forward doing something that nobody expected. Instead of attacking it wrapped it's arms around Glynda in a tight hug.

????: Glynda?

Glynda's eyes started to tear up.

Glynda: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Heh heh heh. Winner.

And those were the last words the armored figure spoke before collapsing.

Now (Y/N) instructs Glynda's class alongside her. Although nobody, aside from the staff, could really figure out what kind of person he was. He always spoke in short sentences, was impossible to engage in a conversation with, and he was never seen without his helmet on.

(Y/N)'s pov.

 Today you were selecting a student to spar with. You pointed at Mercury.

(Y/N): You. You will be my opponent.

You stood tall with your spear at your side.

(Y/N): Show me what today's youth is capable of.

He began to attack you. You either countered or sidestepped his kicks, always at the very last minute. Then you saw an opening and used your spear to knock him onto his back before grabbing his leg. It felt different from what you knew to be a human leg so you decided to experiment. You used your semblance to send a jolt through his legs before dropping him. He attempted to get onto his feet only to faceplant when his legs gave out from under him. Your theory was correct, his legs were mechanical and your shock had disabled the CPU.

(Y/N): So, Mr. Black, would you mind telling the class how you lost your original legs?

Mercury: No, not really.

(Y/N): Fair enough. This is an example. My students can never keep a secret safe from me.

You helped him back to his seat. Before returning to your usual position of beside Glynda. You knew she was smiling under her stoic exterior, and you knew you were the only person capable of making her smile in that way. After classes were finished for the day you went for a walk with Glynda, without your helmet.

(Y/N): It's nice to take a walk after all these years.

Glynda: Agreed.

The two of you sat down on a bench and looked up at the stars. Then she looked up at your face. Your (h/c) mane gently blowing in the wind.

Glynda: I've always wondered. Why do you hide your face?

(Y/N): Because I want people to see me as a person. Not as a half-animal freak.

Glynda: That makes sense, but then why do you show me your face?

(Y/N): Because you're the only one that's ever accepted me for who I am. And the only one I love with all my heart.

You put an arm around her. She blushed, smiled, and put her head on your shoulder.

Glynda: Me too (Y/N).

The two of you smiled and held each other close.

You thought that would be the end. But it was me a timeskip!

It was complete chaos. You were searching for Cinder Fall the one behind the attack on Beacon. Then you saw Pyrrha Nikos in a destroyed elevator shaft.

(Y/N): You're going up there to fight Cinder aren't you?

She looked at you with determination and defiance in her eyes.

(Y/N): I'm not here to stop you. I'm here to help.

You stepped into the elevator shaft and she took you went to the top. Cinder stood there alongside the Grimm dragon.

Cinder: What do we have here? More people fighting a losing battle?

After a short fight Cinder created a bow and fired an arrow. You kicked Pyrrha down the elevator shaft to safety before the arrow pierced your calf. You fell to one knee groaning in pain slowly trying to remove it. Cinder started to walk towards you and monologue.

Cinder: This fight was over before it started, and you were a fool to challenge me.

How do you respond? A: inspiring speech, B: snotty comment, C: Nothing.

(A)

(Y/N): I may be a fool, but at least I have someone worth fighting for and that's more than you can say.

(B)

(Y/N): Why don't you take that arrogance and your power and shove em' up your a**!

(C)

(Y/N): (silence)

Cinder, annoyed by your comment/silence, forced your armor-clad head to look her in the eyes. Then she immediately withdrew her hand in shock.

(Y/N): I made this armor especially for situations like this. I've been building up static energy this whole time waiting for the moment you would hit me. Now you're the one at MY mercy!

You sent the point of your spear into one of her legs momentarily paralyzing her and forcing her onto her knees.

What do you do with her? A: Spare B: Karma C: Comfort.

(A)

You stood over her just as she had done a moment ago.

(Y/N): If we ever cross paths again then expect the same outcome. Although next time I won't be feeling as generous. So I suggest you stop traveling your path of self-destruction.

You said before grabbing your spear by the crossbar and embedding it in the dragon's neck,  discharging the built-up static, and killing it. Then you left Cinder there to reflect on what just happened. You used your spear to descend from the top of the tower. When you reached the bottom you were met with a swift boulder to the head and a tight hug, both courtesy of Glynda.

Glynda: What were you thinking? I was so worried when I couldn't find you.

(Y/N): It's okay. I'm here now aren't I?

She smiled and you carried her to the nearest bullhead.

~Neutral ending~

You remained silent, raised a hand to the skies, and cast the fury of Zeus onto Cinder and the dragon. You walked away never to be seen by anyone ever again. Leaving Glynda heartbroken once more.

~Bad ending~

You removed your helmet and cast it aside before hugging Cinder. She started to cry.

Cinder: Why are you being so nice to me. Even after what I've done?

(Y/N): Because I made a promise to your parents before they died. I promised to them that I would watch over you and keep you safe no matter what.

She hugged back with her good arm.

Cinder: (sobbing) I-i'm so sorry.

(Y/N): There you go. Let it all out.

You let go before using your spear to descend from the tower with Cinder following close behind. You left her with the other students begging for their forgiveness as you walked over to Glynda. She smiled at your success of convincing Cinder to change her ways.

Glynda: You were always the persuasive one. And I see you've come out of your shell too.

She said noting your lack of helmet.

(Y/N): I decided that people can think what they want of me. As long as I have you I don't care about what anyone else thinks.

The two of you shared a kiss and watched as the other students "accepted" Cinder's apologies.
