The weekend seemed to fly by too fast for not only Charlotte but also both Wendy and Kozik as well.

Before any of them truly realized it, Charlotte was packing her stuff once again in preparation for her flight back to Forks

The fourteen year old hated that she had to leave her newly found parents again. She knew though that she had to go back so she could finish her current school year.

She truthfully wanted nothing more than to stay in Charming with her parents. She also knew that she didn't want to break the news about that to her Pops over the phone.

Back to the present though...

Charlotte was currently at at the airport near Stockton with not only both of her parents but also Gemma.

Since Esme along with Rosalie and Alice had to head back to Forks the previous after because of an emergency involving one of their cousins, Charlotte would be taking a brief flight back to Seattle from Stockton in a few minutes. Charlie would be waiting to pick her up at the airport in Seattle once she arrived there.

Standing together in the middle of the semi bustling airport, Charlotte had just shared a firm farewell hug with both Gemma and Kozik.

She was now doing the same with her mother, fighting back tears the whole time.

Charlotte sniffled a bit as quietly as she possibly could whilst embracing Wendy.

The older blonde managed to hear her though and pulled away from their hug enough for her to be able to look into the teen's brown eyes that were so much like her own.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay baby. You'll be out of school in just a couple of months. We can talk on the phone and even video chat if you want. In the meantime, if you need anything, anything at all you know that you can call Happy in Tacoma. He knows me and your dad so he's promised us that he'll be there for you if you need anything, okay?"

Charlotte didn't speak since she was certain that if she did, her voice would likely crack. She simply nodded before embracing her mother tightly once again.

Just then, the call for Charlotte's flight to begin boarding was announced and with a final quick hug with both Wendy and Kozik, she grabbed her backpack and begin walking toward the tunnel where she would be boarding.

Wanting to get one final glance at her parents, Charlotte turned back to see her father wrap his arms around her mother who looked like she was struggling not to burst into tears in the middle of the airport.

Charlotte could feel her heart aching profusely at the sight of her mother trying not to cry.

While she knew that she had to leave her newly found family, she knew that the separation wouldn't be forever.

She would be back, she would make sure of that.

Finding her seat quickly once she was on the plane, the fourteen-year-old did her best to try and settle in for the flight.

It wasn't easy but she managed to do so and before she knew it, the plane was touching down at the Seattle-Tacoma airport.

Hoisting her backpack onto her shoulder, she slowly followed the line of people making their way off the plane.

After grabbing her duffel from the baggage claim area, she began to search the crowd for her pops.

"Charlotte! Hey, Charlotte!"

She turned at the sound of someone calling her name only to be immediately surprised to see Paul Lahote walking through the crowd of people toward her.

When he finally reached where she was standing, the Quilete teen explained that Charlie had asked him if he would mind helping him out by meeting her at the airport since he was currently stuck at work at that particular moment and couldn't leave to come pick her up himself.

"Oh okay. Well, thanks for coming all the way here to get me, Paul. I'm sure that you probably have better things to do than this today."

Paul assured Charlotte that he didn't mind coming to get her from the airport at all before he offered to carry her duffel bag to his truck.

"Sure, thanks."

"It's no problem at all."

After loading her bags into the back of Paul's truck, the two proceeded to head out of the busy Seattle and toward Forks.

As the scenery passed by through her window, Charlotte pulled her phone from her jacket and sent a text to her mother back in Charming.

C:
Hey, Mom
Just wanted to let u know that I've made it to Seattle safely
I'm now on my way to Forks with a friend of my friend Jake that I told u and Dad about

The teen didn't have to wait but a minute before she received a response from her mother.

Mom 💖:
That's great, baby
I'm glad you made there safe and thank u for making sure to let me know
Your dad and I love you very much
Remember if you need anything at all just call one of us or Gemma if you can't reach us for some reason ok?

C:
Love you both too
I will definitely call if there's any problems, promise

After finishing her text with Wendy, Charlotte tucked her phone into the pocket of her hoodie that she had pulled on after getting into Paul's truck back at the airport.

"Hey, Charlotte, Wanna stop at the diner and grab a quick bite before I drop you off at your place?"

Charlotte smiled at Paul's suggestion and agreed that getting some food sounded good to her.

A/N: Sorry about the ending for this chapter but I couldn't think of another way to close it out.

Just so you guys know, there's a reason for why I had Paul show up in this chapter but I don't wanna spoil anything about that just yet.

So, how do you think Charlotte is gonna deal with being away from her parents again now that she's finally been reunited with them?

Please feel free to leave a vote and/or comment below and let me know what you think of this chapter and this story as a whole so far.

Hope that you all have an amazing day/afternoon/night wherever you may be!!

Stay safe out there, everybody!!
