Paige's bullshit of a statement + TMZ's clarification
If you still haven't seen Paige's statement about the recent airport incident, check her twitter.
For once, I'll just go straight to the point. Paige's statement and previous comments scream: VICTIM!
Her side of the story has just as many holes as the last one. So let's list them out:
1. "Alberto didn't want me to say full story because he didn't want people to know"
2. "It was Me/Because I/I shouldn't have done it"
She's literally blaming everyone, including herself, except for Alberto.
3. "Because I threw a beer on him!"
Yep, she says she threw a beer on him when the audio recording clearly specifies it was water: "It should've been the glass over your head, not the water." She's clearly covering up for him being drunk. Then, there's also a matter of her basically admitting to lying about that lady throwing water at perro earlier.
4. "We all say things when we are mad"
Yes, because it's totally normal to wish death on your beloved's uncle when you're angry. And wanting to press charges against her and accuse her of stashing coke in her bag is also typical of an angry person. Plus she didn't comment on him complaining about her being on the phone for such a long time and trying to make her stop by gripping her wrist.
5. "Invade our privacy"
When you argue at the airport you can't demand privacy. Hopefully, some videos will emerge in the future. Clearly audio is not enough of evidence.
6. "You're ruining my career" and „Leave me the fuck alone. I'm trying to get away from you all the time"
She glosses over the fact that she said those things, as if it didn't happen.
7. "If you listen to that stupid audio,"
Well, how can we not, since it's actually the only reliable source and her versions keep changing?
8. " It was Me who was being held for battery charges because I threw a drink on him"
A rep for the Orlando PD told Raya Satin that Alberto El Patron is the only suspect listed. Also, TMZ states: "cops say it's Alberto who was being investigated for domestic violence, NOT Paige." Although they confirm her words that: "No one got arrested. There's no mug shots. There's no charges. Nothing." and add that: "cops say the incident is still under investigation. " Also why would GFW suspend Alberto if he wasn't being investigated?
9. No mention of her family's accusations.
She keeps blaming herself and that poor eyewitness but forgets to comment on her brother's statements. Zak and Roy said that they have pictures of her bruises caused by Alberto. They urged people to look out for her. And she completely ignored them.
I think it's safe to say, she's beyond our help. It's probably not too far from the truth when people say that Alberto put a gun to her head to make her write it, or that he dictated it to her or even wrote it himself. Paige is showing signs of a typical abused person.
I'll just cite a couple of comments found on reddit:
"This is classic abusive relationship behaviour. He's made some puppy dog eyes at her, called her Mami, whistled and spin his finger and maybe sort of slightly suggested that she could say something on her Twitter, because it's all everyone else against us."
Or
"Classic behavior of people in abusive relationships that don't have the strength to leave it. They blame themselves for the actions of their partner and cling on to a false hope that the person they feel they are in love with is still the same person they were when the emotional connection first occurred. In most cases the individual put on a fake persona to originally court the other person and then does some pretty crazy manipulative tactics in order to control them into behaving how they want them to. They then manipulate their partner into thinking the abuse they receive when they lash out at them is justified and was caused by the victims wrong doing.
It's very easy for someone who has never been through that to look at it and say she can easily leave that situation but is making the conscious choice not to so it's her fault. In reality these situations happen a lot more than people would be comfortable realizing due to the emotional and psychological nature of the abuse. Young people with low self esteem are especially susceptible to this type of abuse because it's far easier for them to truly believe the abuse is brought on by their own actions and take the blame for it. If this is truly what is happening to her, which it seems likely with every bit of new information we get, then it's really sad and won't have a happy ending until she realizes what is going on and finds the mental strength to break away from it. It's like any other mental disease like depression. It isn't as easy as just stop being depressed. There is a really long and hard process toward breaking the cycle."
And probably the most alarming ever:
"She is going to end up getting killed and found in a ditch somewhere in San Antonio, or she will hang herself. "
What's worse, she had a legit opportunity to leave but didn't know better. She refused and didn't even acknowledge people wanting to help her. If she keeps that attitude no one will care anymore and when she finally ask for help she won't be treated seriously. If any of you still think WWE can actually do sth to help her without her consent, you're wrong. She's all alone now.
Someone please give her a knife or sth and let her end it whilst she's not on her knees yet. Just put her out of her misery.
