Centuries [Kevin Owens + OC] {REQUESTED}
Requested by tormentsthem
I'm sorry it took so long to get this written, but I've been super busy outside of Wattpad. I do hope it was worth the wait, though. :)
This takes place shortly after Kevin Owens comes to the main roster (so beginning of 2015), but I'm an idiot, so 205 Live and the brand split and stuff exists, too.
I realized the other day that I haven't listened to Fall Out Boy recently, so I've been listening to a lot of them recently (The Last of The Real Ones is super good and I'm loving it).
Anyway, here's your one-shot.
Centuries - Fall Out Boy
SmackDown Live had just wrapped up filming, and they were now setting up for 205 Live. Brianna would not be needed for that show, so while Corey Graves and Vic Joseph walked out for the coming show, she began making her way backstage.
"For fuck's sake, Bree, I can't do this anymore. Why can't you understand that?"
"But what if - ?"
"No!"
She kept her head down once she was past the curtain, avoiding eye contact with her co-workers, just wanting to get back to the hotel.
"What part of this do you not understand? I've been saying 'but what if?' for too long, and I can't deal with this anymore."
People around her were talking, and for the most part, they weren't paying much attention to her. She was grateful for that.
"April supports what I'm doing, and I'd love it if you did, too. It would make things just a little bit - "
Bree looked up just in time to not run into someone. She had seen his feet ahead of her, so she looked up to stop herself.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" He practically shouted at her.
She let out a small gasp. "I'm sorry."
"Oh, shit, are you okay?" He asked, frowning, as he took in the look on her face - not of fear, but something entirely different - and her overall demeanor.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
She pushed past him, ending the conversation then and there.
Once she saw the NXT Championship he was carrying with him, she put two and two together, and realized he was Kevin Owens. She had been trying to place a name to the face as he spoke, and until she began walking away, she couldn't figure out who he was.
Her heart was beating faster than usual, mostly due to being startled and yelled at.
She was suddenly aware of how warm her face had become, but she just pushed it to the back of her mind.

Kevin walked into Catering.
The show was over, so people were mostly packing up, but a few people were still lingering around, including the person he was looking for: Claudio.
He hadn't been on the main roster for too long, so he knew nothing about the commentator or why she seemed so intent on avoiding every possible person.
However, while she normally was doing that, he had seen her on a few occasions talking to Claudio, so Kevin knew he was the right person to talk to. He considered the Swiss man a friend, so hopefully, he'd be willing to part with some information.
"Hey," He greeted, walking over to him. Claudio looked up from his phone, and gave him a smile.
Now with a smirk on his face, Claudio said, "You need something."
"Why do you think I need something?" He asked.
"We haven't talked all day," He explained. "But now that the show is over and everyone is leaving, you want to talk to me."
Kevin was silent for a moment, then said, "Okay, yeah, I need something."
"Well, what is it?"
"What do you know about that commentator girl?" Kevin asked.
"Brianna?" He asked, though he knew that she must be who he was talking about; she was the only "commentator girl".
"Yeah, I guess."
"Why are you interested in Bree?" Claudio inquired.
"I just ran into her, and she looked like she'd break into a million pieces if I touched her," He replied. "And I know it's not because I yelled at her, so I'm wondering what the hell happened to her. She's like... cracked glass. If you touch her the wrong way, she's going to collapse and shatter."
Claudio sighed. "It's... a long story."
"Does it look like I've got things to do?" Kevin asked, taking a seat at the table.
"You know Punk?" He asked.
"Yeah, of course."
"They used to be really close," He explained. "Like, they were as close as you can be without dating. When he quit and left, she took it really hard. She tried convincing him to stay, but he wouldn't listen. Now the two of them don't talk anymore, and she's lost her best friend because of it. I think she's afraid of trusting anyone again because they might just leave her, too."
"Well, I don't plan on leaving any time soon."
Claudio frowned. "You... want to be her friend?"
"Yeah." He shrugged. "She needs someone, and hey, why can't it be me?"
"Do you really want me to answer that?"
"Fuck off."
He just chuckled as Kevin stood up and left.

A Few Months Later:
The show ended, and Bree began making her way backstage.
As she walked through Gorilla, she smiled at the backstage crew as she went past. She walked down the halls, and she spoke to a few people.
"You're in a good mood today," Claudio observed as she walked into Catering, taking a seat across from him.
"I don't know." She shrugged. "I'm just... happy today, that's all."
They both knew that wasn't all, but neither brought it up.
A few seconds later, Kevin walked in, and he took a seat between the two of them.
"Hi," Bree greeted, smiling at him.
She then excused herself to go talk to Renee Young, which left Claudio and Kevin by themselves.
"She's back to the old Bree," Claudio said, smiling a little. "I was getting worried about her, but I guess you've actually been a good influence on her. Who knew you were capable of that?"
"What the hell, dude?" Kevin asked, but he couldn't help but laugh.
Bree returned, but she didn't sit down. "Hey, Kev, can we talk?"
"I might have spoken too soon," Claudio said.
Kevin rolled his eyes at him, but then looked up at Bree and said, "Yeah, sure."
She lead him out of Catering, and he simply followed. When she finally stopped walking, she turned around to look at him.
"So, I'm assuming you know about Phil?" She asked.
"Yeah, Claudio told me," He said, and he felt guilty about saying it, but he didn't know why.
"I... wasn't doing so good after he left," She told him. "It got to the point where I was just repeating the last conversation we had in my mind, over and over. But then... you came. And it's been a really good day today because, until now, I haven't thought about him. And I know it's because of you, so, thanks, I guess." She stood on her tiptoes to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Neither of us are all that good at the sappy stuff, so I'm done now. You can say something shitty now if you want."
"You think I'm going to say something shitty?"
"I've never heard you say anything different."
When she started laughing, he just said, "You've managed to ruin this moment."
"That's fine." She smiled at him. "Now, let's go back. Claudio probably thinks we're doing something nasty."
She began walking, and this time, he walked beside her.

"My shadow is over you 'cause I am the opposite of amnesia. And you're a cherry blossom, you're about to bloom. You look so pretty, but you're gone so soon."
