You were in the kitchen cooking dinner when Shaw and Samuel came home from work.

Shaw-''Y/N, we're home!''

You-''I'm in the kitchen!''

They came into the kitchen and you greeted Samuel before giving Shaw a kiss.

You-''Hey, how was your day?''

Shaw-''Pretty quiet. How about you?''

You-''Very strange.''

Shaw-''Why's that?''

You-''I need to tell you something.''

Shaw-''Alright.''

You and Shaw sat down at the kitchen table facing each other.

You-''Did you have an old partner by the name of Tyler Burke?''

Shaw was in shock.

You-''He showed up at my work today and...''

Shaw-''Did he hurt you or threaten you in any way?''

You-''Um, no.''

Shaw-''What else did he say?''

You-''Just that you two were old partners and that he'll be seeing me again real soon.''

Shaw-''That son of a...''

You-''Something bad happened between you two, didn't it?''

Shaw took your hands.

Shaw-''Y/N, there's something I have to tell you. It's about the first day I went back to work after my injury.''

You-''Ok.''

Then Shaw told you all about that night.

You-''Oh, man. I understand now why you never mentioned him before.''

Shaw-''But you understand why I need you stay as far away from him as possible.''

You nodded.

Shaw-''Burke must've been following us around. Otherwise how else would he have known about you and where you work.''

You-''What are we gonna do? I can't just stop going to work.''

Shaw-''Take Samuel with you.''

You-''But, John, Samuel is your partner.''

Shaw-''That's why I know you'll be safe with him. He will protect you.''

You-''You sure?''

Shaw-''100%. You will be safe with Samuel at all times when I'm not with you.''

You-''Alright. Whatever you feel is best.''

Shaw kissed your forehead.

Shaw-''I promise I'm gonna keep you safe.''

You-''I know you will.''

Samuel barked.

You-''I know you will keep me safe too, Sam.''

You smiled at Samuel as Shaw looked at you with concern.

Nick

You and Nick were driving home from work.

You-''Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I met an old friend of yours today.''

Nick-''An old friend? Who was it?''

You-''His name is Heller.''

Nick immediately got a cold chill through his body.

You-''He seems really nice. He wanted me to know that you told him all about me when you guys got together yesterday.''

Nick was just stunned in silence.

You-''I think it's sweet that you told him about me and....''

You paused as you looked at Nick.

You-''Nick?''

Nick-''Yeah?''

You-''You alright? You look like you've seen a ghost.''

Nick-''No, I'm good. Just exhausted. What else did Heller tell you?''

You-''Not much. He was in a hurry and I was busy too.''

Nick-''Alright.''

You two continued to drive home as Nick was completely worried.

Jake

You got home from work and Jake walked up to you.

Jake-''Hey, sweetheart.''

Jake kissed you.

Jake-''I'm so glad your home.''

You-''Did you miss me or are you starving and waiting for me to cook?''

Jake-''A little of both but I missed you most.''

You-''Good answer.''

You smiled and both of you went to the kitchen.

You-''Oh, an old friend of yours came to visit me at work today.''

Jake-''Who was it?''

You-''Jonas.''

Jake looked at you in shock.

You-''You remember him?''

You asked as you looked at Jake but he was lost in thought.

You-''Jake?''

Jake-''Yeah?''

You-''You alright?''

Jake-''Yeah, I'm good. I remember him really well. Is he back in town?''

You-''That's what he said. Plus, he said he'll be seeing us real soon.''

Jake-''He did?''

You-''Yeah. I guess he wants to catch up with you about old times.''

You said smiling, gave Jake a kiss on the cheek and went to the bedroom to put your bag away.

Jake-''This is not good.''

Jake whispered to himself knowing what Jonas is capable of.
