Alexa's POV
Something terrible had happened. Nia told me about it and I felt like I needed to tell someone, but I had no idea who, and she told me not to tell anyone.
"Today, we're talking about sexual abuse," Finn said as he wrote in on the board.
"Um, do we have to?" Kevin raised his hand. "Because let me tell you, Zayn and I aren't feeling this one."
"Let me tell you something, Mr. Owens, I really don't care what you two think, and if you'd like, you can go sit in Shane's office for this class?"
Kevin crossed his arms and leaned back in his seat. "Well played, Mr. Bálor, well played."
Finn shrugged his shoulders and then continued to write some notes down on the board. He rarely used the projector anymore, which I personally liked better.
The projector sometimes made my eyes hurt.
"Sexual abuse is a big problem, especially in kids your age," he started. "You know rape and other sexual assault is most common from ages 12 to 34."
We all just looked at each other in shock. No one had ever really talked about this kind of thing with us, even though we all knew it was a serious topic.
"Now, I don't want any of you to be afraid, or scared, because there is always help. The best thing to do, is just simply talk to someone about it," he finished up writing.
I knew that there were many people at this school who would be willing to help us all if we had this problem, but not everyone would report it.
"You could always talk to me, or the guidance counselor-"
"You mean the crusty?" Sheamus cut him off.
"Yeah, he's Woken now, he has an army of warriors," Kevin chimed in.
"Sheamus, if you really want to call him the crusty, then yes, you could talk to him," Finn told him.
Sheamus laughed. "That's funny. I'd never tell Matt Hardy what was going on in my personal life."
"What if he sentences us to deletion?" Cesaro asked, a bright smirk on his face.
Finn just rolled his eyes and then asked if there were any legitimate questions, which of course, no one had any. We rarely did, as it was health and the class was full of things we already knew.
"Well, then that is all I have for you today."
We all sighed a sigh of relief, and then the bell rang for us to go see the Miz. We had one more semester change, and then that would be it.
Senior year would be over.
"Mr. Balor, I was wondering if I could talk to you about something?" I asked as other kids left the room.
"Sure, Alexa what's up?"
I sighed a deep sigh and then sat in the chair in front of his desk. I felt so bad for what happened to Nia, and she wasn't even in school today.
I mean, what kind of best friend would I be if I knew something was wrong, and didn't do anything to stop it?
Or at least make the situation a little better.
"Well, something happened over the weekend and your topic in class today made me realize that I need to tell someone about it."
"Okay, well, based on today's discussion, were you sexually abused?"
"Not me."
He crossed his arms and then sat back in his chair. I knew I had to do this. Not only for the sake of Nia and I's friendship, but also her health.
"Nia was raped this weekend by two guys," I started. He nodded for me to continue. "Samoa picked her up for a date, nothing new, but instead of taking her to dinner, he took out to a beach house."
I stopped and waited for his reaction, which I knew he was waiting for me to continue the story. I was feeling better already.
"So, when they got there and Braun was already there. They threw Nia on the couch, and while one held her down, the other did his thing, and then they would switch."
He leaned forward in his chair and then gave me a look. I was kind of scared, as I had just told him this whole story.
"You did the right thing, Alexa, thanks for telling me."
I nodded. "I just needed to tell someone because I knew Nia wasn't going to say anything."
He stood up and so did I. He handed me a note, so I wasn't marked tardy, and knowing Miz, he'd write me up.
I walked into the class, handing him my note and he let it go. I felt bad for betraying Nia, but I needed to tell someone about the whole thing.
I wanted the best for my best friend, and her bottling up her emotions wasn't going to help her one bit.
Tom's POV
Today we were in Common Commentary, waiting on Mr. Cole which never happened. The man was always here on time, so this was new.
"You know, maybe he finally realized how much we all hate him," Corey smirked as he sat back in his seat.
"Graves, shut up," I told my best friend.
Corey and I were never friends when we were in NXT, simply because I just never talked to him. Mike Rome was my best friend, and still is today.
However, over the years, Corey and I had became pretty close. Mainly because we commentated together, but because we ended up sitting near each other.
"Phillips, I'm just stating the facts."
"Okay, we'll just call you Curt Hawkins, then," I said with a smile forming on my lips.
He rolled his eyes as I heard Peter and Mike laugh from behind me. Peter had also became a good friend of mine recently, because he started dating Renee.
"Class, settle down, Mr. Cole won't be joining us today, as something has happened," JBL announced as he and Mr. Lawler walked in.
"What happened?" Charly raised her hand.
"Who cares, Charles, the bigger picture is he won't be here today!" Corey cheered and I slapped him on the arm.
It was like the conversation we just had never happened.
"Mr. Graves, that is no way to act towards your teacher," Mr. Lawler announced with disappointment in his voice.
Corey rolled his eyes once again, and then we resumed class. We took some notes and then listened to previous Raw recordings, since the whole Raw 25 Special was happening soon.
"Now, to answer Ms. Caruso's statement from earlier, Mr. Cole was in a car accident this morning," JBL told us.
We sat there shocked, because now we felt bad. Sure, Michael Cole was annoying, but it was clear he loved what he did, and that's why he continued to do it.
"How serious was it?" Greg now asked.
"Pretty serious, he was rushed to the hospital, and that is why Booker T will be filling in for him for the next couple of days," Jerry commented.
"So, do they know who hit him?" Mike now had a question.
"Mike, that's awfully personal, don't you think?" Dasha asked him.
Dasha was always too nice to ask the deep questions, and to be honest, I really didn't think she had what it took to be a backstage interviewer.
Sometimes, those guys are personal.
"We're allowed to tell you, it was Mr. Strowman," JBL confessed to us.
Now, we all looked around the room at each other. That was terrible news, and the fact that it was by Mr. Strowman was even more upsetting.
"Man, he really is the Monster Among Men," Corey sighed as he sat in his seat. "Now, I feel bad for saying Mr. Cole isn't here."
We all nodded and then the bell rang for us to go to the gym. Every now and then, we got to sit in on the action. Corey and I got to sit behind the announcing table and announce the matches.
Renee and Charly usually did backstage interviewing, by standing in the hallway, or outside the locker rooms.
Then Noelle, Cathy, Mike, and Peter would put the interviews in the school paper, it was a pretty cool method they had.
Mike and Peter had recently joined the Yearbook and Newspaper clubs. Those were two clubs ran by Noelle and Cathy, and they had been since freshman year.
Before Noelle came, Cathy used to run both clubs by herself, and she did a really fantastic job.
"Man, that match between Chad and Jason was definitely a show-stopper," Corey said as we headed out to the parking lot.
"I know, it sucks that they both got counted out, because Chad was for sure to win," I said unlocking my car.
Cathy was coming back to my dorm with me tonight. With her running yearbook and newspaper, we rarely went on dates anymore.
"Waiting on your girl?" He asked, waiting to get in his car.
"Oh, just shut it, Graves," I said as we both started laughing.
Cathy game running over to my car and I let her in on the passenger side. She sighed as soon as I got in the car.
"Tom, I want to apologize to you," she started. "I feel so bad for not being able to hang out with you lately."
"Cathy, don't feel bad, I know how time consuming your clubs are."
"I know, but we are boyfriend and girlfriend, and I don't feel like it, and I can't help but feel it's my fault."
I stopped the car as soon as we hit the dorm parking lot. "Cathy, stop. None of this is your fault, no we haven't been hanging out much lately, but that doesn't change a thing."
She smiled and then leaned over to kiss me, which I accepted with passion.
Cathy and I may not hang out all the time, but the relationship didn't change.
