"Who's that letter to Charlie" says maxwell" Charlie rolls his eyes and replies "family" maxwell gives him a stern look before an a shell hits the ground "fucking hell those shells fucking scare me" maxwell says as the dirt runs over his cap Charlie replies "ye one day one of does bastard shells are going to kill me" maxwell looks nervous and walks over to the periscope "what do you see max" Charlie says maxwell replies with "no mans land" a cold shiver goes down his back "RIGHT LADS GET  YOUR RIFLES WE ARE GOING OVER THE TOP" says captain Jackson. A shiver goes down maxwells back and he starts praying and walks over to the ladder as he's in the first wave but Charlie is on the 2nd wave "max good luck chap" Charlie smiles, maxwell smiles back and says "you to buddy" they give each other a hand shake the captain blows the whistle maxwell runs out of the trench and runs Charlie steps onto the ladder and fixes his bayonet the whistle blows and Charlie runs as Charlie is running He looks for maxwell but he can't find him Charlie runs faster as the shells hit the ground  he looks all around to only find the dead of his comrades but maxwell isn't to be seen

20 minutes later
As Charlie ducks from the machine gun bullets from hitting him he sees maxwell who is lying wounded by a tree near the machine gun but then he realises all his guts are hanging out Charlie crawls to maxwell  all of a sudden a bullet goes through maxwells head and out of his neck Charlie throws up and screams "FUCK YOU GERMAN BASTARDS" then a bullet goes through Charlie's foot Charlie yells in pain "WHAT THE FUCK YOU CUNTS"  he pulls out a grenade and lobs it into the trench Charlie shouts in agony "TAKE COVER" everyone ducks and the grenade explodes the machine gun crew fly into the air but is only replaced by another crew "RETREAT" says captain mcdonald a solider picks up Charlie and starts to run back to the British trench then a bullet goes through his back and falls on top of Charlie "GET THE FUCK OF ME" Charlie panics as the machine gun takes out people from his regiment. Charlie pushes the body aside and uses a dead mans rifle as a walking stick Charlie hope and hops and is only 600 metres from the trench but suddenly a machine gun shoots his legs Charlie still alive with 10 bullets in him crawls and the last 10 metres is helped by a medical team but will he still be aloud to fight............
