How you smell: You breathe in particles of the substance into your nose. From there, the particles dissolve into your mucus. From the mucus, it goes up into the 1,00os of nose cells. The cells then send a signal to your brain, telling you what you are smelling.

Strange how I could type that all out by memory. The human body is quite amazing.
