Chapter Forty-One: Legendary

(FOR THIS PLEASE IN REPLACE HUSBAND AND CHILDREN WITH THE NAMES IN WHICHEVER ENDING YOU CHOSE!)

(THIS IS THE TRUE ENDING TO WRONG WORLD)

It's been twenty-five years since the reunion of class 1-A.

(Child) and (Child) have graduated from UA high and are on their way to being great heroes.

(Husband) and (Y/N) have been great together, but of course, hero work has been in the way. Recently, there has been more and more gangs cooking up trouble in different areas in Japan, and the two lovebirds continue to be separated for long periods of time.

Today, it's finally (Y/N)'s day off.

"Dear! Would you like to go to the park tonight for a picnic with the kids?" She asks her husband.

"I'm sorry," He replies, "I'm not off today. You go have fun though, be careful. I love you." He kisses her forehead, and exits the house.

(Y/N) sighs, "I love you too." She then gets herself dressed.

Now that her children are adults, (Y/N) has the house to herself. She heads outside, being sure to lock the door behind her, and walks down the street, glancing at UA high. After twenty-five years, the building grew even larger, and new powerful heroes were graduating every year. Yet, (Y/N) was still number one. Even if she's getting older, the public knows that she will be a legend among heroes for years to come.

She smiles at that, walking by herself past UA high onto a less populated street.

The hero gets so distracted in her thoughts that she doesn't notice a villain appear and attempt to steal from a lady ahead of her. She snaps out of her daze when she hears the yelp, and rushes over with her powers on full blast.

"Hey, you!" (Y/N) yells, "Leave that lady alone!"

"So it's you, Elementia." the villain hisses, dropping the lady's collar.

It's something (Y/N)'s never seen. This villain reminds her of someone.

"Come at me then." He continues, putting his fists up.

The stance of the villain clicks a memory in (Y/N)'s brain.

    It's Tenko Shimura.

"You got out of jail?" (Y/N) questions.

"Ha, no." the man replies, "I broke out."

Elementia scoffs, and charges at the man, but suddenly, the lady that was being robbed covers themselves in gray plasma and shifts into a much older version of Himiko Toga. Dabi, Twice, and Spinner also appear from the shadows.

    It was a trap.

Quickly, (Y/N) attempts to warn other heroes nearby, but Twice creates a clone and it grabs the device from her and smashes it on the ground. She takes the chance that's distracted the villains and lets her kagune appear from her back. She slashes and punches the villains, but she's weaker now, and they're stronger.

Tenko slides away easily from (Y/N)'s attacks, chuckling.

"Looks like the Symbol of Peace is weaker than when we first met." He hisses, "Attack!"

More and more villains that (Y/N) fought before appear from the shadows, and attack all at once. Thankfully, (Y/N) is able to get them off of her by using her blinding light. While she was distracted though, Tenko called Gigantomachia.

The huge beast towers over (Y/N), but she stands tall. She uses the earth to fly up and blind it, taking the chance to tie up its legs in the strongest vines. But it's all for nothing.

The beast easily breaks out and grabs (Y/N) tightly. She squirms in it's grasp and tries everything to blind it, but to no avail. She tries to create a sword that will cut through anything, but the League of Villains are running around and punching her to keep her from being able to get a silent moment to create the weapon. While trying to create vines to stop the other villains, they were just slashed by Spinner. Each time (Y/N) tried to use her air and create a small tornado, Dabi would use his fire and contradict it. Dabi also contradicts the fire if she uses her own, which means she can't use her ice/water either. The last quirk she can use is Earth. Before she can use it, Tenko makes Gigantomachia drop the poor hero.

She falls to her knees with exhaustion and attempts to get back up in her fighting pose. This causes Tenko to laugh, and he grabs the girl by the throat, keeping his pinky off of her.

"Today, you die." He says huskily, "You were never a worthy hero. You lied, killed, and you even risked the lives of many civilians. You were only in it for the money."

"You're wrong." She replies, "I risked my life for them, and that was not me who killed all those people, it was your version of me. You're the villain here, not me."

"Shut up!" Himiko replies, cutting (Y/N)'s legs up.

The hero screams in agony, as tears fall from her eyes and roll down her cheeks. She glances around her as the sounds and visuals fade into darkness and silence, locking eyes with Touya.

The villain watches with guilt as his sister passes out and Tenko finally releases his hand from her throat. The group takes a break, since their leader, of course, wants to make this 'fun'. He picks up (Y/N)'s limp body and heads to the top of a tall building. At the top, there's already a camera set up and ready to broadcast to all news channels in Japan and some in other countries. Slowly, a quirk-cancelling device is slapped around her neck.

Touya cringes at the thought. Ever since (Y/N) first knew about him being Dabi, he felt skeptical about staying with the League. Part of him wanted to side with his sister and try to make everything right again, but part of him stayed a villain. Judging by how the fight between Elementia and the League of Villains so far, Touya is sure of one thing.

The Symbol of Peace is going to die tonight.

Soon enough, the passed-out (Y/N) is tied to a chair with the League sitting nearby, making sure the camera is set up. When they're done, Tenko turns it on and begins to monologue.

"As you can see, the League of Villians and I have captured Elementia, but if any heroes come to get her, or she attempts to escape, we'll blow this town of Musutafu to bits!" He hisses, crossing his arms. "If you want her back, and want the town safe, then hand over the rest of the heroes in Japan too!"

At this moment, (Y/N) finally wakes up. She realizes the situation and stays quiet and calm. While Tenko is talking, she takes a deep breath. Somehow staying calm, she realizes how to win.

"(Husband), baby...if you're watching this, please take care of the kids." (Y/N) mutters just loud enough for the villains and most of Japan to hear.

"What was that?" Tenko asks, grabbing the woman by her hair.

"(Husband!)" She yells, ignoring Tenko, "Please don't come here, move civilians but leave me. It'll be okay."

"What are you blabbering about?" the villain asks again.

    "Kill me."

Even the League's members are shocked by the sudden words.

    "What..?"

"I want you to kill me." She repeats, "But make me a promise, kill me and leave the rest of the world alone. The only reason the world is mostly crime-free is because of me. Being the Symbol of Peace, like you said, it's me causing the crime rate to go down. Kill me and do as you wish."

All around the world, families, children, and fans stood from their seats, biting their nails and making fists. (Husband) and his children were talking at a cafe during lunch break when the tv first came on, the family freezes when they hear (Y/N)'s sentence. Tears rush from the eyes of the world, fearing for their future.

"I want you to let me stand up though." (Y/N) adds, "I can still be restrained."

Tenko tilts his head, smirking as he imagines a world without Elementia. Immediately, he will take the hero's deal.

The hero is untied and she stands up to face the villains, obviously waiting for Tenko or another villain to hit her. As she sees the villain raise his fist, she moves.

Back at the cafe, (Husband) and his children rush towards (Y/N)'s location, despite her warnings. Tears fill their eyes as they rush through crowds who are fleeing to find their mother/wife.

Her husband calls out her name, screaming it in desperation that she will hear, but to no avail. They finally find the tower where the hero is being held, but they are not allowed to go up. Police and other heroes line the sides, so the father and his children make a plan.

"I'll distract them, you get inside and help your mother, okay?" He says, the siblings agree and the plan is set in motion.

After the children escape into the tower and towards the doors, (Husband) follows closeby after dodging the other heroes. Before the family can get inside, the entire building falls to the ground.

Shocked, they fall to their knees staring at the rubble. Medics, police, and other heroes arrive in-time and stare at the ground in respect. (Husband) is the first to walk over.

    Lying there is his wife.

Her face is peaceful, stuck in a permanent smile. The family she left behind begins to cry and they hug each other as tightly as humanly possible. Nearby civilians, medics, police, and heroes alike gather together at the rubble, creating a large circle around the former Symbol of Peace. Together they say goodbye, and cry their eyes out. Around Japan and other parts of the world, they do the same thing in honor of her sacrifice. Members of class 1-A hug each other and their children while balling their eyes out.

    The woman became a legend.

Thirty years after her death, there was a little boy. He'd just turned 6 and life was great. The crime rate more or less completely dropped to 0, and civilians were less likely to be homeless or hungry. More children were adopted and fostered.

The little boy's name was Kenji. His mother and he were walking around Musutafu. As they passed UA High, the boy stopped and stared.

"Mommy, who was that statue?" Kenji asked, pointing at the famous statue of Elementia.

After her death, the statue was rebuilt with her ashes under it and new plaque and few details upgrades.

"That's Elementia." His mother explained, "Thirty years ago, the League of Villains attempted to blow up Musutafu, requesting that all heroes were to show up and step down. They had captured Elementia and held her captive until the heroes turned up. Her husband and children attempted to rescue her out of desperation, but got there just as she used her Manipulation quirk to destroy the building and kill the villains and herself in the process."

"That must have been hard for her." The boy points out.

"The Legend says that she knew being a hero would take many sacrifices. Many heroes will never be as great as her. She was a true hero. She didn't care what it'd take, she'd just do it to save others."

"I want to be like her when I grow up!" Kenji yells, grinning.

His mother chuckles, "I think you have what it takes. Just keep trying."

The two stare at the statue for a few moments, and realize that someone is standing near where her ashes are with a sade look. Kenji began to freak out because it was (Y/N)'s husband. The man had just turned eighty-years-old and retired from being a hero five years after his wife's death. Each day, he or one of the children would visit with flowers of (Y/N)'s favourite color and other things that were her favourites.

    Today, he was silent; empty-handed.

"Excuse me, sir?" Kenji's mom asked.

    "Uh, yes?"

    "Are you her husband?"

    "Yes.."

"She was the greatest hero the world's ever seen."

    "I know."

Kenji spoke up, "I want to be like her!"

(Husband) finally glanced down at the boy. He looked like an exact copy of (Y/N), but a guy version.

"I'm sure you can, son." He replied, "Just do your best and train hard. If there's an obstacle, find a way around it."

"I will!" Kenji responded, as he and his mother left to do some shopping.

The boy waved at the older man, who did the same back. (Husband) looked back at the grave of his late wife, saying goodbye and heading back to his home.

To this day, (Y/N) Todoroki has never been forgotten, and never will be. She will remain the Symbol of Peace in all the hearts of Japan and the rest of the world.

Even if it is the wrong one.
