Chapter Fifteen: License Exams

(Y/N) Todoroki

"Alright boys, please- knock it off." I mutter, rubbing the back of my neck awkwardly.

Everyone turns to stare at me, and I grin, "I-I uh- I haven't had anyone admit that they liked me so um...I don't know what to say."

"WHAT!?" Mineta squeaks, "HOW IN THE WORLD!"

Ashido speaks up, "I have an idea so we can figure out who you really love and should be with! How about you spend one week with each of the boys as boyfriend and girlfriend, see how it goes and then you choose in two weeks!"

I deadpan, "That might end up going badly, Ashido. I may fall in love with the first person I spend the week with and then it will make it awkward between me and the second."

Yayorozu speaks up, "How about we just get past the Hero License exams before we start getting distracted by love interests?"

    Iida nods, "I agree."

So we continue to train for the rest of the week, but I continue to think of a way to choose between Bakugo and Kirishima. Eventually, it's the day of the hero license exam.

"Ugh, I'm getting kind of nervous." Jiro mutters, I giggle.

"Don't worry, it's not as difficult as it seems." I reply, "Since we're here, I can tell you what we're doing..except the guy in there will tell us anyways. Oh wait! There's a villain in here."

My class snaps their necks to me, "WHAT?!"

"She's disguised as one of the students from Shiketsu High, ugh I forget her name but the second I see her, I'll say something. Anyways, she has blood from Uraraka because of the attack during the training camp, unless she didn't touch you." I continue.

"No, Deku and the others fought her off during the camp so we should be safe then, right?" Uraraka says.

I nod, then I turn to my brother, "Shoto, there's also a boy from Shiketsu that doesn't like you or Endeavor but please work with him, you fail the exam if you don't."

    "Alright, sis." He responds.

As everyone goes to call out plus ultra, Inasa from Shiketsu barges into our huddle. He smacks his head on the ground to apologize and ends up bleeding.

As the students walk away, I poke my brother, "That's the boy who hates you."

As Mr. Aizawa tells us to watch out for Inasa, I can hear the click of heels and I approach our teacher with a grin, pointing in the direction of the noise, "Say hi to Ms. Joke, Aizawa!"

He turns and grunts at the sight of the girl.

Soon enough, her students from Ketsubutsu High appear in a group, and Shindo begins shaking everyone's hands. When he gets to me though, he freezes.

"My, what beautiful eyes you have." He mutters, holding my hands for just the smallest bit too long.

"Hey, hands off! This is Bakugo and Kirishima's property!" Kaminari and Mineta squeal, pushing the boy away, as they stand in front of me like guards.

"I am not PROPERTY!"

Shindo glares daggers into them for a second, but I push the boys away, "Hey Shindo." He freezes as he hears me say his name.

"How do you know my name?" He mutters.

"I know a lot of things." I respond, "I know that this nice thing is just an act. You might know our quirks, but I know everyone else's quirk as well. You're going to have some fun, fighting me."

His face contorts for a second, and a sinister smirk appears on his face as the rest of Ketsubutsu high leaves.

After the exam is explained, we all group up together.

"Shoto, be careful of the guy with the giganasizing quirk."

He nods at my words, and runs off after Kirishima, Kaminari, and Bakugo. The rest of us stand tall together. Ketsubutsu high rains balls down on us but I use my air quirk to catch them all, and I throw them high in the air and make them rain down on the students. Quickly, many of them are kicked out.

"Looks like the first person has passed the exam, finally! WAIT THEY WERE ABLE TO DEFEAT FIFTEEN PEOPLE AT ONCE?!" The announcer yells, I giggle.

"Have fun guys!" I yell, "Be careful of Shindo's vibrate quirk!"

I head to the area where the people who have passed go, and watch some of the exam from the room. And soon enough, Inasa walks through the door.

"Oh, you're (Y/N) Todoroki." He mutters.

I rub the back of my neck, "I know that you hate my father and brother, I'm unsure about me. But either way, I lost my memory before the Sports Festival. So, if I did anything to hurt you in my past, please don't hate me."

A blush appears on his face, "Oh uh, you didn't really do anything. But its alright, I'll drop my little grudge."

    I giggle, "Thank you!"

Soon enough, more people started passing the exam. Eventually, I notice Shoto.

"Of course you passed." He mutters, I giggle and grab onto his arm, as we both sit on chairs.

"Hey, I knew everyone's quirks anyways." I reply, "But for the next part of the exam, please don't fight with Inasa. We're saving civilians next and you originally continued to fight with Inasa and failed the exam. They are grading us based on how we act while saving civilians, mostly from disasters but they also bring in a hero to act like a villain."

Soon, Yayorozu, Tsu, Shoji, and Jiro approach, they are all worried, so I speak up, "Everyone else will pass well- this part of the exam at least."

Midoryia, Uraraka, and Sero approach next, "See? Everyone else will pass soon as well."

Bakugo, Kaminari, and Kirishima enter the anteroom now, and then the rest of our class.

"For the 100 of you that passed the first test, please turn your attention to the screen." the announcer says, before the buildings and pieces of land start crashing to the ground.

"And now we save the civilians," I mutter, which makes some Ketsubutsu and Shiketsu students look at me differently.

The announcer goes on to explain everything we are doing. Soon enough, the anteroom opens up and we group up to get ready to begin. I use my air to blast myself forward, I don't want to get in the way of my classmates. If I do, I may change the future.

"HELP ME!" I hear, I quickly turn towards the voice and land.

There's a little boy stuck under a rock, "Help me, please!"

The piece of cement on top of him will fall if I lift it up, so the best course of action is to go fast. There is also a small cut on the boy's cheek, as well as a bruise.

I freeze my left arm, placing it on his cheek, "Here, that should help the pain. Do you think you can walk?"

"Y-Yes, I think so." he replies.

I lift the cement with my air, "Move, quickly."

He obeys and I drop the cement once he's out of the way.

"Alright, I'll fly you over to the first aid station. Did you see any other survivors?" I ask, the boy nods.

He points to our right, "There was a girl over there."

"HELP!" a girly voice squeaks, and I quickly take the boy with me as we head towards the voice.

This girl's legs are broken, I set the boy down and tell him to stay put as I head over to the girl and quickly look for other injuries. This seems like the girl is in a situation where she just can't move her legs. I use the roots from the ground to lift the rock up then I pick up the girl lightly, being sure to prop her legs up. I use my vines to pick up the other boy.

"Are either of you afraid of heights?" I ask, both of the children shake their heads no, so I use my air to propel us up and over to the first aid. I see Midoryia giving the first victim he's saved to the girl. Which means villains are coming.

"Be sure to stay with the first aid, villains are coming again." I mutter, and the two actors agree.

I hand the two survivors to the first aid people and I stand beside Midoryia as the villains break through the wall and appear in front of us.

"Midoryia, be sure to keep an eye on the tremor-quirk guy, he becomes momentarily unstable after using it." I yell.

Midoryia nods, and now the fun part of the exam is about to begin. Let's do this.
