Welcome to the future

"So?" Dad asked the old man in a coat. He seemed really enticed with my leg, poking and tapping my calf. He stopped for a moment, and rose up with a dissapointed face.

"Nothing." The man said to dad. Dad didn't seem to be bothered. He shrugged and looked down at his feet.

"Oh well, we tried. Nothing unusual. Let's go--"

"Not yet finished. That was just the legs." The man tugged dad's blue sleeve. "I need to check his respiration as well as many more--"

"We've been doing this for eight years already. Nothing changed about him, not even Mac." Dad shoved off the hand on his sleeve.

"It's better me than them." The man retorted."That's why I didn't call them. Otherwise, you'd be all alone in that pretty dollhouse of yours." The many helped me down the stairs. "Remember, this is your way of repaying me. Don't be all bratty about it."

Dad paused for a moment. He sighed.

"We'll come tomorrow." Dad pulled me away from the dim room, headed for an elevator. I turned back to see the man looking back at us.

"What a waste of rescources..." I heard him mutter as the metal door shut.

"How was it, Clint?" My older sister, Lila asked."You got something interesting to show?" She began to viciously shake Cleo, our older brother.

Yes, Cleo is his name... I think atleast. Lila says his actual name was Leo, but he had to portray as this weird lady named Cleopatra in his all boys school. He got picked on ever since with the name. He didn't seem too bothered though. He just shrugged as dad pulled him to homeschooling.

Cleo and Lila are twins, with Lila being the younger of them two. Aside from that... they have a secret the world must never know.

They. Both. Have. Powers.

Yes, I'm related by blood to two beings with superhuman capabilities. As they call it,'Enhancements.' I'm not sure why they call it as such. Calling it super powers sounds cooler.

I don't know what they are though. My older brother (and the biggest know-it-all of all time) tells me that life like the ones they live are pretty painful and annoying. Unless they can prove it,'we' have no reason to believe them.

But why listen to him? Sure, he's a pretty intelligent and logical person, but he's blunt, and he never says anything to us unless it's properly related to a situation. Who knows where he got that information?
