We went in after awhile. Conrad was dancing with belly. I was glad she got her dance. She looked beautiful out there.

"Oh Jeremiah Emma where have you two been?" Susannah asked us. "I was ugh getting sick I think I ate something bad" Jeremiah lies. "Same" I lied. "You poor things let me order you both a Ginger ale" Susannah says.

Ben pulls me aside. "What's wrong?" He asked. He knew I had been crying. He knew something was wrong. "Susannahs cancer is back" I whisper. He looks at me shocked. I could tell he also wanted to cry. Instead he pulled me into a hug.

Jeremiah and Conrad start to fight. There on the ground until Susannah separates them.

Belly was standing there. She was clueless. She didn't know what was going on. I pulled away from Ben and went over to belly. I pulled my sister into a hug.

Our mom belly and I where all laying in belly's bed. We where curled up. My mom explained to belly that Susannah's cancer was back.

"I feel so stupid I was so selfish I made this summer all about me" belly cried. "I had no idea I should have known" I said. "Susannah didn't want you guys to know she wanted one more summer" our mother comforted us.

Then Steven walked in. "She isn't getting better is she?" Steven asked. "No" my mother says. We pull him into the family hug.

We all lay there. We don't say anything. We all just cry and hold each other.

Ben was leaving tonight. I was sad that he was going home. I would miss him. Summer was almost over and I would be home soon but I was gonna miss not having him here.

My mom made dinner. She made spaghetti. That was her favorite thing to make. It was a easy dinner.

We had a good dinner. We joked and laughed. For a moment we acted like we all didn't know. We acted like everything was normal.

Ben's older cousin nick came to pick him up. Everyone else has said there goodbyes to Ben. "Thank you for being here for me" I said hugging him. "I'll always be here" he said.

I waved goodbye as the two boys drove alway. We would be driving away soon too. I didn't want this summer to end. This could be the last summer.
