Chapter 2-LEFT OUT

      "Oh Laurel relax" Susannah said. My mom was always the uptight one and Susannah was the layed back one.

"You and Belly look just like your mom" Susannah said. "I can believe me but everyone says Belly looks like dad" I say. Even though belly and I are twins doesn't mean we look alike. "No you both look like your mom in your own ways" Susannah explained. I shrugged.

"Well I know for a fact that both of you are in glow" Susannah smiled. Glow was a way of saying peek of beauty. I know Belly is beautiful but I don't know about me so much. I know both Belly and I had changed a lot since last summer but her change made her look like a goddess as mine just made me look older.

After having a talk with my mom and second mom I went upstairs so I could change. I walk into my room. As I walk in memory's flood into my mind.

I change out of my soaked clothes and get into some dry clothes. I sit on my bed looking around the room. I had many pictures hung up in my room from past summers. My thoughts where interrupted by the sound of laughter coming from outside.

It was Jeremiah and Belly. They where off to the beach. Without me. I sighed and layed back on my bed. This was nothing new. Jeremiah and I where best friends but Belly always came first.

I decided this summer I wasn't just gonna mop around when I got left out. I went to Conrad's room. I knocked on his door twice.

"What!" I hear a voice. I walk in and jump onto Conrad's bed. "Hey Connie!" I smile at him. "Hey Em what do you want?" He asked. "Wow why are you so grumpy?" I ask. Conrad was being weird this summer. Something was up with him.

"Why don't you go hang out with Jeremiah" he said. I frowned. "Him and Belly ditched me and went to the beach" I say. Now it was Conrad's turn to frown. "Losers" he mumbled. I chuckled a little bit when he said that.

"Wanna go play video games?" Conrad asked. I smiled and noded. We went to the living room and started playing video games.

"Hey where's Jere?" Steven asked coming into the front room. "Him and Belly are at the beach" I say not taking my eyes off the tv. I killed Conrad. "Fuck!" Conrad yelled. "Ha loser!" I laugh "Wanna play?" Conrad asked. Steven nodes and we began to play.

My mom walks in. "Hey Emma wanna go with me since your sister ditched me for the beach?" My mom asked. "Oh Laurel I'll go with you let Emma have fun with the boys" Susannah said. "Thanks Susannah" I say not taking my eyes off the screen.

"Die die die!" Steven yelled trying to kill me. I just laughed at him. I ended up winning again. "Ha losers!" I yell. "You cheated!" Steven insisted. "How?" I ask. "You just did!" He said. Conrad and I just laughed at him. "See Connie isn't a sore loser like you" I say.

Soon Belly and Jeremiah came in laughing. "What are you guys up to?" Jeremiah asked. "Playing video games since you ditched me for my little sister" Steven said. "Well can I play?" Jeremiah asked dismissing the rude comment. "Ya you can take my spot give Steven and Conrad a chance to win" I say smiling at the boys. "Oh you only won cuz we let you" Steven said. "I thought I cheated" I laughed. Conrad laughed while Steven just glared at me.

"Wanna help me unpack?" Belly asked me. Usually I would say yes we usually helped each other unpack but I was a little mad at her and Jeremiah. "Ugh I'm really tired Belly I think I'm gonna take a nap" I say. I mean I wasn't lying I was tired I didn't get much sleep on the way here. "Oh ok" she said as I walked upstairs. I went to my room and took a nap.

I woke up to Jeremiah jumping on my bed. "What the hell!" I groan. "Wakey wakey" he said jumping on top of me. "Jeremiah!" I yell. "Dinner is ready" he says.
