"Do you think we can go somewhere after you get off work?" Harry says softly, still holding Louis close to him, afraid to let go.
"I don't know." Louis answers, pulling back to he can look up at Harry, "I don't know if I should."
"Please, Louis." Harry says softly, "I'll cook, at my house, you know, we can talk about everything."
Louis swallows and nods hesitantly, "Okay," He says, "But only because I deserve an explanation for all of the hell you put me through."
Harry nods slowly, reaching up and running a hand through his hair, "What time do you get off?"
"Like, 5:30ish." Louis estimates, "Depends on how many people are in, but the actual closing time is 5."
"Okay." Harry smiles, "I'll pick you up here then?"
"Okay." Louis nods, "Bye, then."
"Bye, Love." Harry tells him, only getting a wondering look from Louis as the dainty boy turns away and makes his way into the shop again, not even giving Harry once last glance.
Harry leans himself against the brick wall and lets out a ragged breath, his guilt seeping through his skin. Seeing Louis was like a slap in the face. He was so different, so broken. Harry hated himself for doing this to him.
He wishes he would've just stayed with Louis instead of leaving him. He would've never chose the latter if he knew it was going to hurt Louis so bad.
He never meant to hurt Louis, all he ever wanted was to keep Louis safe and out of harms way, but he failed and now Louis is a mess. Exactly what Harry was trying to avoid. His heart hurts with guilt.

After Harry had gone home and turned the electricity and water back on, he found himself at the local store, trying to find a thing called "Roku" , Google said it was one of the best things next to actual cable. Harry figures he will connect it and use it for tonight if Louis decides to stay the night. He wasn't in place to disappoint.
"Harry?" A voice calls his name, he turns around and the breath is knocked out of him.
"Fionn." Harry says slowly, forcing a smile onto his lips, "How are you?"
"I'm okay." Fionn says, lookin Harry up and down without any shame; Honestly after the many times they had went to bed together it wasn't unexpected.
"It's nice seeing you." Harry says, leaning slightly against his cart and raising his eyebrows, "How are things?"
"They're okay." Fionn says, "Never as good as they were before we separated though."
Harry sighs sadly and nods, "It was for the best, though." Harry says, "I just don't think we were meant to be, you know?"
"No, I don't know." Fionn says, almost a whisper, "I should go though, send a text sometimes."
Harry nods again and smiles, "Sure, see you around."
Harry starts to shop again once he had watched Fionn walk to the next isle.
When he and Fionn had gotten the divorce, Harry had felt like the worst person in the world. He sat Fionn down after 5 years of marriage and told him that he wasn't happy anymore. Fionn was absolutely heartbroken, and it tore Harry to pieces. He wasn't inlove with him but he did love him.
Time has passed though, and Harry planned on marrying Louis one day. He had never been more in love with anyone than he was with Louis. There was nothing he wouldn't do for Louis, it was overwhelming. That's why he was going to try hard to make up these 5 years to Louis. He loves the with all of his heart.

"It's fucking pouring."
It's the first thing Louis says when he rushes into Harry's car, slamming the door shut and buckling himself up.
"How'd you get here this morning?" Harry asks, glancing over at Louis as he tugs his jacket off and places it over Louis's lap. He had noticed the boy's shivering.
"Um, I think his name was Ryan?" Louis says, shrugging, "Don't know."
"You think?" Harry frowns, "Was he an uber or something?"
"No." Louis rolls his eyes, shrugging, "A guy that brought me home last night, I went clubbing."
Harry starts the car, jealously rushing through him as he shifts in his seat, "Do you like him a lot?"
"No." Louis says, shaking his head, "He wasn't even that good of a fuck, either."
"How often do you do that?" Harry asks, spite in his voice as he grips the wheel a little tighter.
"I don't think it's any of your business." Louis snaps, glaring over at Harry, "Are you really gonna tell me that you didn't fuck any of the cute boys in prison?"
Harry stays silent after that, pursing his lips as he takes a turn, "I don't care, I just don't want you letting people fuck you who don't deserve it."
Louis lets out a huff and drapes Harry's jacket over his shoulders, senses being overwhelmed with Harry's scent, "Only person that deserved it was you."
"We've never went that far, though." Harry says, glancing over at Louis with softer eyes as he makes a turn down his street.
"Doesn't mean you didn't deserve it." Louis points, leaning away from the window and then leaning his body towards Harry, resting his head on Harry's forearm, "I really missed you."
Harry melts, pulling into his driveway and turning the car off. When hes done he unbuckles his seatbelt and moves to hug Louis as best as he can with the console between them, his cheek pressed against the side of Louis's head. "I missed you too, love."
Louis unbuckles and moves to Harry's side of the car, without ease at all, but he succeeds and straddles Harry, tucking his face into his neck and gripping Harry's shirt with his hands.
"I'm here now." Harry comforts, wrapping his arms around Louis's slim waist, closing his eyes as he holds his boy close to his own body.
"I still love you." Louis says, pulling back some and looking at Harry, "I just was so heartbroken." Louis says, Harry wiping tears that have fallen onto his cheeks, "You hurt me."
"I know." Harry says, shaking his head, "I thought I was doing the right thing, I had no idea it would hurt you like this."
Louis rest his forehead on Harry's shoulder and sniffles, "I k-know, I just wish you would've told me."
"Everyday I regretted leaving you, every-fucking-day." Harry says, tugging Louis back gently so he can make eye contact with him, "I was so torn up trying to decide if I should reach out to you and explain things, but I thought it would be selfish of me." Harry explains, "I'll never stop being sorry."
Louis smiles tightly and swallows as his nods shakily, "Let's go inside? I'm cold."
Harry smiles, agreeing with the boy in his lap as he nudges the door open, "Gotta get off me first though."
"What's wrong?" Louis raises his eyebrows, "You lose your muscles in prison, big boy?"
Harry grins; because no, in fact he's never been in better shape, if you ask him, he's fucking jacked.
So Harry wraps his arms underneath Louis's bum and slides out of his car, carrying the boy inside after closing the door with his hip.
Louis bit his lip, feeling slightly impressed and overwhelmed with the many images of Harry holding him up against- nevermind that. Louis shakes the image out of his head takes a deep breath, trying to remind himself not to give in so easily to a man that broke his heart.
"Welcome to mi casa." Harry says, setting Louis down onto his feet, moving to remove his shoes and put them next to the door. Louis follows Harry's actions nervously.
"Hope you like homemade pizza?" Harry says, tilting his head at Louis as he walks his long legs towards the kitchen, Louis making his way behind Harry.
"That's okay with me."
He can already tell that it was gonna be a long night.
