chanyeol's pov

after the mini birthday celebration we had for baekhyun, the rest left and the only people left were me, baekhyun and his dad.

not to mention that his dad was really encouraging with our 'relationship' and he didnt turn out to be as scary as i thought he would be.

the three of us walked into the house and into the living room.

baekhyun's dad proceeded to say, "take a sit. ill make some coffee for us."

i bowed to him. "thank you so much sir"

he smiled at me, and i returned the smile. he patted my back soothingly and winked at me, mouthing, "this is ur chance to have some alone time with baek"

i couldnt help but blush as he walked into the kitchen.

both baekhyun and me sat down awkwardly, completely surrounded by the awkward and tense atmosphere.

before today, i was so nervous to meet him. would he like me ? would he be angry that i planned this behind his back ?

seeing him in real life just.. takes my breath away

he was so much more beautiful in real life. low quality pictures were not worthy of his beauty. his smile is the best thing ive ever seen. seeing him smile makes my heart pound like crazy.

i know i sound completely insane but this is truly how i feel.

i sat down across from him, sneakily taking small glances at him, studying his facial features.

he was busy playing with his fingers, obviously as nervous as i am.

thats it im done with this awkwardness.

i cleared my throat and managed to say, "so, did u like the surprise?"

baekhyun's head snapped up as he heard my voice. he nodded and gave me a huge grin.

"im glad u liked it"

"im really glad im finally meeting u, chanyeol"

"me too."

just like that, the atmosphere was replaced with a much cheerful one. as conversations started filling the room and i found myself laughing together with him.
