I put my head in my hands and sighed. Here I am, sitting like an idiot on the streets waiting for a guy who was supposed to take me on a date. I should've known this was about to happen, but silly me thought someone actually cared about me.

Maybe his phone just died and he's stuck in traffic or maybe he had to do something before he would show up. Maybe something happened to him.

Are you kidding me? Of course he wouldn't show up just for you. Why would Justin McCall, one of the most beautiful guys in school, go for someone like you?

I took my phone out of my pocket and decided to text him as I felt myself growing impatient. He wouldn't just ditch me, would he?

I've been waiting for almost two hours by now! | 8:59 P.M.

I jumped up when my phone instantly started to buzz, indicating that I had received a text message.

Who is this? | 8:59 P.M.

I frowned, looking nothing but confused at my phone screen. I felt my heart drop and with each second that passed by, I felt myself becoming less and less important. Did he seriously not know who I am? Did he really forget me? He's just kidding right?

Rain

What do you mean 'who is this'? Now is not the time to joke around Justin! | 9:00 P.M.

I knew I should've never trusted you in the first place. | 9:00 P.M.

Matthew's point of view

I looked at my phone and actually felt sorry for the poor girl. I'm one to talk, but even ditching someone was too much for me. My phone lit up, which somehow made me look at the screen immediately.

I put my phone away for the night and didn't payed any attention to whatever just happened. Not knowing that such a simple text message would change my entire life.
