1 - Arrival

Kings Cross Station : 01/09/96

"I will be fine, don't worry! Anyone would think that I'm a first year!" She laughed as she hugged her parents. "You might not be a first year but this isn't Ilvermorny. Every school is different!" Her mother Joan shrieked, dusting off her daughters clothes and adjusting her glossy golden brown hair. "Mum! Stop!" The girl groaned, rolling her eyes. "It's alright, Give the kid a break dear." Maximus chuckled, he knew his wife was an overbearing mother sometimes. And it amused him to see his only daughter's irritation.

"I'm just making sure that she's all good to go!" Joan explained defensively. "She was ready to go hours before we left home woman!" Maximus snorted, earning himself a glare from the missus, it was more than obvious who wore the trousers in that marriage.

"Goodbye darling! Don't you forget to send owls regularly! And don't forget to wash behind your ears!" Joan called out after her daughter as she slunk away towards platform 9 3/4.

As she arrived on the platform, she had to admit she impressed by the Hogwarts Express train. "This is so cool!" She beamed enthusiastically. "Is that an American accent I detect? my name is Malfoy..Draco Malfoy. So, do you have any British in you?" he grinned, "No." Jamey replied coldly.
There was something about the boys attitude she disliked from the off. "Well, Would you like some?" Draco winked with a smirk. Before his smirk had a chance to drop everything went black. She had knocked him out.

She turned to see clapping and cheering from some students around her age, "That was bloody brilliant!" A red haired boy grinned excitedly. "It's about time someone wiped the smirk of that sexist pig's face." A girl with wild, unruly hair chuckled. "I'm Hermione Granger, and this is Ron and Harry." She smiled holding out her hand politely. "Jamey, Jamey Michaelson. Pleased to meet you!" The newcomer smiled shaking their hands one by one.

"You're gonna pay for this! My father will hear of it!" Draco spat as he peeled himself off the floor with the aid of two other boys, both of whom looked as gormless as you would expect.
"Malfoy, why don't you slither along and with your little friends." Harry snapped.

"What an asshole!" Jamey laughed, glad that she had met some decent people her age. Soon, a dark figure approached with bat like robes and long black greasy hair.
"Which one of you punched Draco?" He seethed viciously towards Harry before pausing uncomfortabley when his eyes met Jamey's. "Jeesh! Are you his father? I mean dang does his mother look like Cruella Deville or some shit?" Jamey snorted, "I most certainly am not his father but I am his head of house and I will not tolerate your attitude Miss.....?" Snape boomed, his humungous nostrils flaring at the end of his hooked nose.

"Michaelson, Jamey Michaelson sir. I'm so pleased to meet you!" Jamey fluttered her eyelashes mockingly. "20 points from... whatever house you're put in! And detention with me this evening!" He spat. "What if she's put in Slytherin Professor Snape? I don't see you taking points from your own house." Ron snorted, "Shut it Weasel! Or else you will be joining Miss Michaelson in detention!" Snape huffed and stormed off with his robes billowing behind him.

"Bloody hell, you haven't even got to Hogwarts yet and you already have detention!" Ron grinned, quite impressed by her feat.

As they boarded the train Jamey joined Harry, Ron and Hermione in their carriage. The journey was an uneventful one which Harry was particularly glad of, "Thank Merlin, there were no dementors this time." He sighed as he left the train. Jamey gave Hermione a rather confused look, "We'll explain later." She smiled.
