MIDNIGHT MEMORIES

Under the streets light you and me danced through the cold night.

With you between my arms
as we sang our favorite song

Barefoot on the ground
as we swayed around.

Through the dark pavement we walked with our hands close tight together.

We exchanged smiles and sweet stares.

Our eyes gazed across from the stars,
wishing something might came true.

In the public park, our body laid into grass as we began to have
a conversation.

Though our feelings seem to grow, when our melodic heart beats started to had a rhythm, as we shared our breakdowns and heartbreaks.

In the parking lot, we sat on the bench
with your arms wrapped around me,
as your face closed to mine,

A different sensation electrified into my spine, when our lips parted with electricity.

We do late night drives, and we had midnight snacks at the convenient store,

We watched how
the fountains light up.

We played arcade games
in the amusement park.

and it all happens in every night the moment we spent doing what we love during the night where all our dreams and hopes came true somehow.

But, its only a midnight memory because when the sun rises, all the memories of us will also fade in the wind and we both knew its over.

I'd really wanted to go back where it all started but you had found  another lover who  deserves better than me.
