How do you write your own love story?

—

"Reading calms me," I said as I face almost five hundred faces and flashing cameras in this small auditorium, "When I read, I imagine as if I'm in different places all at once. It's surreal—inspiring, rather. As a writer, I also aspire to achieve that goal—to create a world where people could go to—where people could enjoy. I guess I find solace in escaping reality and I want that for people, too," I hear faint laughs and a series of applause from the crowd and I nodded as I ended my speech.

I bowed and turned back as I made my exit, "Thank you po ulit for having me, Mr. Gregorio," I said as I passed by the Organizer of this event. "Ms. Fuente, parang hindi ka naman pamilya dito! You will be coming to the after party, right? Sige na, just this one time." I sighed, as much as I wanted to go, I'm loaded with meetings here and there.

Sideline ko lang naman po 'to, I wanted to tell him pero I just smiled and patted his back, "Maybe next time, I promise!" He pouted and I laughed. We bid our good byes and I went to my car with my manager, Riza, and we drove off.

I looked out the window and let myself get lost in my thoughts. 

I'm actually an architect by day and a writer on the side, I love writing as much as I love planning. It's an escape. I love the characters I make, the worlds I establish, the emotions I develop on people's minds—I love the impact I bring to people.

I've always loved many things,

but most importantly,

I loved him,

so much, and too much.

He's the reason why I wrote and kept writing.

Wrote until my hands broke,

wrote until my head hurt,

I wrote and I wrote and I wrote until

I let myself get lost in the dimensions I created.

I kept creating these worlds for other people's entertainment,

yet I keep forgetting how to fix mine.

I have wrote all these books but who gets to write

mine?
