Sophisticated
I've always admired and valued your taste,
Living up to the expectations and standards you placed.
I viewed you as more than special, like I'm staring at a blue moon,
But the truth is, you were more than a spoilt little kid, born with a golden spoon.
Underneath the high intellect, underneath that poise,
There was this humble little kid, tired of all the noise.
Who hated being placed on a pedestal, whose flaws they continued patching,
But just wanted to be himself, when the eyes of the world wasn't watching.
I now understand your morals, knowing why you wore that mask you've created,
Having rejected to live by the expectations of society, now makes you even more sophisticated.
