Mellow
A baby's grip on a finger, a snowflake landing on your tongue,
The warmth from the fireplace at winter, a 5 year old having fun.
Sleeping to the sound of raindrops dancing on the roof,
Outsmarted your math teacher with substantial proof.
That feeling of accomplishment, genuine relaxation,
When you heard your little girl singing on the radio station.
It's a feeling so great, like soothing tune of a cello,
It's a feeling I can almost taste, inside feeling mellow.
A baby taking her first steps, saying her first words,
That feeling inside, turns butterflies into birds.
