(No warnings this time!)

They were running as fast as they could from Shielbert and Sordward until they were caught on one of the Hammerlocke Castle turrets.

Sonia glanced behind them, fear in her eyes as she heard them coming. "Leon, we're trapped!"

Leon glanced back as well, his teeth gritted. He had tried fighting them but they'd taken out all his pokemon except for Charizard and he led them into a dead end.

... Unless...

He spun Sonia around to face him and grabbed her shoulders. "Do you trust me?"

Sonia looked startled. "H-huh??"

"Sonia, do you trust me?" He asked intensely, knowing they were running out of time.

She stared at his intense eyes before nodding. "Always."

He gave her a smile but... it looked wrong. Almost... fake. "Good. You'll forgive me for this then."

"Wait, wha-?!" She started to ask but now she was falling from the tower, Leon having shoved her off.

She couldn't scream. She couldn't find her voice anymore as she fell, tears filling her eyes, terrified as she watched him disappear from the edge as if pulled back.

She squeezed her eyes closed, bracing for the impact but gasped when something caught her. Her eyes opened and she stared up at the face of a Cinderace who grinned at her and landed back on the ground, safely.

"Sonia!" Hop's voice greeted her as she was placed down. "Are you okay?! What happened?! Where's Lee??"

Sonia was shaking as she turned to Hop, tears finally spilling down her face. "...I'm so s-sorry Hop... Th-they," She choked back a sob as she watched his face fall and fear fill his eyes. "They caught him."
