Please... (10/6/2020)

Prompt: ("get it out", no more, "stop, please")
Triggers: Shocked, Memory loss
Fandom: Reese

Reese was trying to stay awake while he, Jeremy, and Michael watched movies together. It was well past midnight at this point and he was growing tired.

He was snuggled up in a fluffy blanket, blankly staring at the credits of a movie before him, curled up in the bean bag chair he claimed. He felt himself drifting off every now and again and finally drifted into a light sleep.

He was faintly aware of the soft music playing as they started another movie. He heard talking but remained asleep.

"You certainly know a lot about everyone, don't you?"

"Well, that's what happens when you've been here as long as I have." There was a small pause. "I mean, let's face it. Not everyone wants to adopt someone like me." Another small pause before it continued. "You shouldn't worry about choosing. It happens the same way every time. First you won't know what to do, you'll be a little bit scared then you'll meet one of them. Talk to them. Somehow you just know."

He heard a brief conversation about adopting someone and then another song playing and then a door being shoved open and dozens of children's voices screaming but one cut through them all.

"Bye Stuart!"

Reese hadn't realized why he woke up at that as he muttered tiredly. "Wh-What? Stuart-?!"

As the word left his mouth, he screamed in pain, his eyes lighting up the room as they glowed.

The tv started to wig out and distort as Reese convulsed in pain.

Jeremy and Michael were both wide awake now and at his side. "Reese! What happened?!" Jeremy asked, knowing what was happening but they didn't know what triggered it.

He just kept screaming and crying as it only felt like it was getting worse as he clawed at his head. "M-Make it s-stop! P-Please! Je-Jeremy! G-Get it out! No more! Please!" He begged, tears flowing down his face, sobbing as he shook and the pain flared through his body.

He dug his nails into his scalp as his mind started to blur everything together as the boys could only watch helplessly.

Reese continued to scream and beg the boys to stop it. To put an end to it but they couldn't.

Jeremy sobbed, hating seeing how much pain Reese was in and hugged him close, trying to keep his thrashing down.

Michael just sat nearby, watching sadly as Reese sobbed into Jeremy's embrace before it finally stopped and he slowly relaxed before passing out in the hold.

Jeremy looked up at Michael, eyes full of pain. "This can't keep happening... anything could trigger this and I-" He sobbed as he let Reese lay down in the bean bag and hugged Michael. "It's not fair!"

Michael sighed softly and nodded. "Let's just... try to get some sleep, okay?"

Jeremy shook his head. "I'm- I'm worried about him..."

"I can stay up and monitor him for a bit. But you, get some rest. He'll need you in the morning."

Jeremy hesitated but nodded. "O-Okay..." Jeremy stood up shakily and helped Michael move Reese onto the couch then went to the guest bedroom.

Michael sighed and sat in a bean bag. Why did their lives have to become so complicated again?

(Shorter but sad non-the-less.)
