BFF
We used to be best friends, having adventures every day. Thought we'd be together forever, but gradually we separated. We soon forgot our adventures, only photos could could remind us of our forgotten adventures. So many songs we used to listen to, now nobody knows the name. We grew old, living in different worlds. Soon we'll die and our grandchildren will find our old photos and records, that will soon rot away somewhere, maybe in an attic or an old box. Soon we'll be forgotten and no one will know our names, not even our future grandchildren will know our names. This is goodbye Edison, for my time is up. Thank you for the memories, don't forget me.
-Sincerely
Molly
Tears stained the paper as the old man read the letter. He mourned for his best friend...his sister.
"I'll never forget you, Molly. I promise you that."
He folded the paper into a neat square and placed it in the tin box. Closing the box he watched as the nurse buried it under the old tree. Molly and him used to play there all the time.
"Mr.Edison the time capsule is buried under the tree. Let's go inside."
He looked into the blue sky one last time, knowing he had no regrets as he fell asleep for the rest of time. Edison was buried under the cherry tree next to Molly. My aunt and uncle had quite a story, but I won't forget their story...no one will.
"Thank you for the capsule...Uncle Edison... Auntie Molly."
