[ Tip #2: Stay Focused ]

Essentially, there's no such thing as writing too much when it comes to a story, but when you're writing for multiple stories, shit's bound to happen.

As I said in the previous chapter, I've been here for almost a year and in that year, I've unpublished so many more stories than the one's I've completed.

Why?

Because I was dumb enough to think I could update multiple stories. Now, some people have the magical ability to do so.

At one point I was trying to update for 7 stories and hahaha big fucking nope!

Now, I like to stick to 1-4 stories because I've learned to manage it, although really focusing on one would be ideal.

If you're inexperienced with writing, I beg you, don't dive into multiple works. Focus on one subject at a time and learn to hone and perfect your craft there. Find your own style because imitation will only get you so far.

When you put too much on your plate, either you'll handle the pressure and adjust a time schedule for it to make it work, or bad things can happen.

A good indicator that you've put too much on your plate is when you start viewing your story as "work." Writing for you fanfic should be fun! If you start viewing it as a chore, perhaps it's time to either unpublish it and work on what you're most interested in. 

Don't worry, when your love for it returns, you can always re-publish it.

Again, avoid piling the work because it can literally drive you mad. It's maddening to get writer's block for one story alone, can you imagine feeling that way for multiple works? That writer's block can turn into resentment and in turn make you hate writing.

Don't do that.

Writing is supposed to be fun! (lmao, how many times can I stress that?)

Focus on one or two stories at a time and love the shit out of them. I found that writing for multiple stories always makes me lose my passion for other stories and it's upsetting.

So, pick your works on what you like best, not what everyone's asking you to write or what's most "popular" whatever the fuck that means.
