Chapter Four: Actually Doing The Thing
Alright! Now that you have your stage set up and your story ready to be told, now you need to...
Actually write it.
This is, hands down, the most important part of writing a story. Everything you've worked on, this is where it all comes together. This is what you've trained for.
Not only is it the most important, but it is also the hardest.
It's easy to sketch down a few ideas in a journal, but actually putting these ideas down word for word and giving them life can be the hardest thing you've ever done. In some cases.
So what I tend to do is write a chapter in that story's designated journal in pencil so I can go back and fix things if need be. Then, when that chapter is done, I type it up on a school computer or my phone. It seems to work most of the time. That way, I get a second chance to reconstruct sentences and make this be that and such.
The final product is a full chapter, however long, filled with words and descriptions and maybe some dialogue here and there if it's a dialogue kind of chapter. It may not be the best, but you worked hard on this, and here it is.
The next few chapters will be about perfecting your story and all the fun stuff, so keep reading if it's posted, and I'll have it up in maybe twelve hours if I haven't posted it yet.
