→How To Write Prologue
Hiii! We are back with another chapter! Sorry for the lack of update! I lost... A bit motivation to continue this book cuz I'm not confident in my ability as a writer- 😅
Anyway! Today, we are going to talk about HOW TO WRITE PROLOGUE.
What is prologue?
Prologue is a a separate introductory section of a literary or musical work. (I take this from google, lol.)
Well, I hope you understand the meaning of Prologue.
Now, let's move to the next part!
I realized that many new authors (INCLUDING ME) struggled with starting their stories. I understand that frustrated feeling BECAUSE I STRUGGLE A LOT JUST TO COME UP WITH A GOOD, SATISFYING PROLOGUE THAT IT DRIVES ME CRAZY SOMETIME-
*cough cough* Anyway, I actually was aware that there are many options and ways to write a decent prologue without making it seem weird and BIZARRE.
Here are various ways on how to write prologue!
1. Introducing the main characters and problems.
This is the most decent way to start a story. You can start with introducing the main characters and explaining their problems. Take my book, "My Light, Your Light : MiriFemDeku " as example!
In this book, I wrote a scene of Izuku and Ochako stumbling into the Big Three while they were on their way to the restroom.
I just wrote some normal interactions among the characters, but added an element of suspense and mystery in the chapter to get reader interested.
And then, in the end, I surprised the readers with the revelation of Izuku's and Mirio's relationship!
No one knew about the fact that they were dating. Not even their friends. Because they kept it secret from everyone!
The secret here is THE PROBLEM.
Why they kept it secret? Why won't they tell anyone? Readers will ask themselves this kind of question.
Aaaand that is enough for Prologue!
BUT REMEMBER!
DO NOT GET TO SPECIFIC WITH THE DETAILS OF THE PROBLEMS!
Keep the reasons/the causes of the problem, the strange actions and decisions of the main character a mystery! Don't reveal the WHOLE THING AT ONCE!
It will ruin the story and its plot.
Keep the pace of the story slow.
Don't straight out write,
__________________________
My name is Izuku Midoriya. I'm a sweet, innocent 15 year old boy. At least that is what my friends thought.
I'm actually a hardcore fan of All Might! I keep it secret from my friends because I don't want to get teased!
And oh, you may be wondering why I like All Might? It is because he saved me from a pomeranian that wanted to steal my bun!
And that is how I become his successor.

Nope. NOPE. don't write it like this PLEASE. this totally ruin the story!
2. A flashback of the past
I think this is self-explanatory. You can also start the story with writing a scene from the main character's past!
But make sure it is an important scene!
Example : Cure : TomuFemDeku.
In the prologue, I wrote a scene of Izuku's childhood. How she met Tenko (Tomura) and how their friendship started.
( Recalling this make me CRY. (TдT))
Make sure the past memories is related to the plots of the story! This is actually one of the easiest way to write prologue!
3. Taking official anime scene.
Aight, this is the easiest way to write prologue!
I use this method most of the time!
How to write a prologue with a scene from the official anime?
It is easy!
Take an example from this book called "Fly With Me : HawksFemDeku" By
She started her story by writing a scene of the official anime of My Hero Academia, but added her own twist in the scene! Isn't that just convenient and easy? *sip on tea*
