Why is it always Chanyeol? Actually, why is it always the dom that hurts the sub? Even when I'm reading manhwa and mangas, it's always the big rough looking dude that hurts poor uwu baby.

Just. Stop, for a second, and think about this.

Sure, maybe Mr. Dom is bigger looking and could hurt Mr. Sub physically, but anyone can hurt another person emotionally.

And, oi, before you tell me that subs are subs cause they couldn't possibly hurt someone, yes, I understand that subs are more timid. That still doesn't mean there is absolutely zero chance that they'd hurt their dom.

(By the way, I'm using the words "sub" and "dom" very loosely right now. I might as well be saying small and big aight aight)

If you read my Rant Book in the months where it was still up, you'd remember this next example I have for you. But since I'm assuming you haven't, read this exaggeration (that sometimes isn't an exaggeration shit, man):

Chapter 8/56:

What the hell? Baekhyun thought when he saw Chanyeol standing beside Kyungsoo. Chanyeol's fucking cheating on me!!!
(Comments: omfg park chanyeol i fucking hate you kys; chanyeol i'll castrate you; for a sec i wondered if cy was only hanging out with ks but then thought, impossible, because cy always does the batshit crazy stuff)

Baekhyun runs out the door and doesn't talk to Chanyeol for a week. Baekhyun sleeps around and gets into many relationships with other people. One night, when he's drunk, he comes back to the home they shared.

"Baekhyun!" Chanyeol exclaims when he sees his boyfriend. He quickly runs over like the sweety he is and grabs a blanket on the way, wrapping Baekhyun up and hugging the living daylights out of him. "Why are you here at this time of night? Where have you been? Why didn't you call me?"
(Comments: don't pretend to love him u stupid bitch; i can't believe you have the nerve to touch bh after touching ks)

Baekhyun slurs out a bunch of words, clearly piss drunk but Chanyeol doesn't care. He makes sure Baekhyun is safe and sound and is sleeping well.

The next morning, when Baekhyun wakes up and finds himself in Chanyeol's room, he is enraged.

"What the fuck, why did you bring me here?!" Baekhyun exclaims, throwing the blankets onto the ground.

"Baekhyun, you're awake, I made you breakfast—"

"Get the fuck out of here!" Baekhyun yells, throwing his alarm clock at Chanyeol's face. He doesn't even care. The bastard cheated on him and he deserves all the bruises on his face.
(Comments: you go baekhyun; teach him who's boss!)

"Baekhyun wait! What did I do wrong?!" Chanyeol pleads, grabbing Baekhyun's wrist when he was about to walk out of the room.

"Nothing. Just go back to sucking your new boyfriend's face. I have a ton of new boyfriends too, just like you."

Chanyeol is heartbroken; it's clearly shown in the way that his eyes start to water and his grip starts to loosen.

He's just acting, Baekhyun thinks, huffing as he turned around.

While walking to the kitchen, Baekhyun grabs the food Chanyeol made and throws it into the garbage, storming out of the room.

A few days later, Baekhyun comes back to clean up all of his stuff and officially move out.

He packs away his clothes and his necessities and Chanyeol stands at the doorway, staring at him with a longing that Baekhyun hadn't noticed before.

Oh, so now that I'm gone, Chanyeol suddenly wants me more than before?
(Comments: break up with the snake bbh)

"I never cheated on you," Chanyeol speaks up as Baekhyun is zipping up his suitcase.

Baekhyun rolls his eyes, pushing past Chanyeol and into the living room. He grabs his left over memories and right when he was by the door, the idiot speaks again.

"I'm serious. Kyungsoo and I were only hanging out. I don't love anyone but you."

Baekhyun stops. He has tears in his eyes. Is Chanyeol saying the truth?

"I would give all of my possessions to have you believe me, Baekhyun. I didn't even touch Kyungsoo or anybody else for that matter. I don't know what you saw but I would never ever hurt you."

Baekhyun turns and starts crying, running into Chanyeol's arms.

"I forgive you," Baekhyun says and they hug for the rest of the day forever and ever.

Everyone forgets that Baekhyun slept with 7 people, threw away his food and threw an alarm clock in Chanyeol's face and they live HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!!

I've actually seen this a lot, where the more submissive-y person in the relationship is always given the "okay" and forgiveness from readers because aw. uwu owo it's the baby they can't hate them.

No.

Also, non Chanbaek writers, this is for you!

The main character is not free of fault!

I see some books where the main character does something terrible, but I get the sense that when authors write stories from a certain person's point of view, a lot of the stuff the main characters do is sympathized. Because, you know, the readers know what that character's emotions are.

But that does not mean everything they do is nice and kind and amazing.

Before writing stuff, always think about how you'd react if you saw someone else doing what your character is currently doing. Sometimes it seems normal because you see their reasoning (cause u literally created that character) but sometimes it really ain't normal, sis

So um, that's all I really have to say?

Moral of the story: doms do not equal cheaters or the ones that will hurt other people, stop justifying everything the main character is doing, and just, think about stuff more. I know I have to, cause I've made these same mistakes
