Writing Tip #1:

When developing characters, try not to project yourself into every single character too much. If you have some based on yourself, that's completely fine! But try and get into the character's mind, and out of yours.

My Creative Writing teacher told me to start off by thinking, "Are they a coffee or a tea person?" And go from there. I think of that with every single character I write.

It takes time and practice, but once you're in their mind space, your characters will truly be able to grow almost on their own. :))
