OOTIITRW For Recap!!!

Leo slid through town on his- no, his friend's- red bike. Stickers that he was glad no one could see covered the two-wheeler, he might try to hide it in the bushes instead of the regular bike rack.

Pedaling faster, the weight of his large backpack brought him down. Gosh Leo, he thought to himself. Why did you have to bring everything that has to do with writing and drawing? Plus that autograph book?

He pedaled faster, becoming more and more into watching the buildings around him than checking where the bike was heading. Hanging lights, potted plants, statues, and chairs sat on porches, watching as he hit the curb, falling onto his face.

Leo brought his head out of the greening grass, bringing his hands to his face to check if anything was cut or injured. Indeed, there were bruised and cut spots on his left cheek and his chin. He quickly pulled his backpack off of his back, opening a small zipper in the front for first-aid.

He grabbed some bandaids- one with ladybugs, the other yellow with pink polka-dots. Will have to do, he thought, climbing back onto his bike.

After travelling a few more blocks, he made it. The large building where, hopefully, he would find new friends. Friends unlike Jemma, Mark, and especially Sammy.

Leo chucked the bike quickly into some nearby bushes, walking up to the entrance. A woman stood there, handing out little fill-in nametags. Leo grabbed one and a green marker.

Name name name, Leo said to himself. What will my name be? What sounds cool but not fake? He looked over some other people's shoulders. Odal, Stuffy, Rena. Leo smirked. Weirdos, he thought. Like the guys' names.

The tall redhead wracked his brain for a good name, he had to write it soon or else he would seem weird. Aha!

Snake.

Snake was a good name. Snakes are crazy and mean, but nice and gentle, too. Just like him. He went by it online, sure it would be okay. He smiled, scribbling on the name before slapping it onto his backpack and walking in.

The place was crowded. People brushed shoulders every second, small stands for food, writing supplies, 'meet the writer', and more stood at one side. Le- I mean, Snake strolled around, admiring nothing in particular.

Soon, his stomach got the best of him. He quickly walked to a food stand selling breakfast-type foods. He quickly paid, grabbing a waffle with powdered sugar and going down to sit at a bench to eat.

He quickly pulled out his phone, checking on his 'onliners', as he called them. His eyes widened at the amount of notifications he had. He scrolled down his notif page with a thumb, going over quick little things. Comments on his stories, small conversations, loads of book uploads.

He saw a new chapter was updated from Happyhermitcraft, 'Argument'. Hmm, he would give it a try. He tapped, finishing off his waffle. He stood up, throwing away the paper plate as he walked into the deep crowd again.

Snake shuffled around shoulders, tried not to step on too many feet. Soon, he caught himself to a stand selling notebooks and writing utensils. Some girls his age stood there, talking about things Snake didn't need to hear. He leaned up against a post a few feet away and started to read.

"Oh! I wanted to tell you that I really liked the Happy Hermitcraft chapter you did recently!" Snake's eyes widened. Happy Hermitcraft? Why, that was...

"Really? The one from Y Tho? I'm glad you liked it!" The taller girl laughed.

Snake glanced from his phone to the two girls, then to his phone. He scratched the yellow-and-pink bandaid on his chin on instinct. Wait, is Y Tho..? Snake started scrolling up and up on his screen till the very top showed.

The shorter smiled. "It reminded me a lot to finally finish mine, but I got a bit distracted, as always..."

"Heh, yeah; we didn't post anything for months!"

"Yeah, I'm glad we are uploading again, and now we got to find more angst, Because there is so much!"

"I'm glad y'all uploaded," Snake whispered. They won't hear me, right?

"Shfsfsfshhhs huuuughh??" The taller girl sputtered, watching Snake.

The shorter one looked very confused. "Ash, you okay?" She said, glancing at the two.

Snake's face went bright red. The Ash? THis can't be a coincidence... He quickly yanked his backpack off, pulling some candy from it. Oh Osiris, what am I even doing... Jemma told me for emergencies!

Ash whipped her head over to the shorter. "He said something about us uploading I'm dead help-"

The girl went a bit red herself. "OH!" She faced Snake. "Uhmmmmm hi."

"Hello?" Ash looked back towards him.

"Hi." Snake squeaked, fumbling with the small candies in his hand. "I just kinda heard y'all talking about something I read. Like, uhm..." Don't be stupid, don't be stupid. These people are on Hermittpad, no big deal.

The shorter one pulled her hair over her eyes in embarrassment. "I did not expect this uhhhh-"

Snake chucked most of the candies back into his backpack. Stupidstupidstupid "What's you guys' use- I mean, names?"

"This is so awkward... I'm Ash." The taller said.

The shorter one made some noises that could not be called human, then muttered, "I'm Zo."

Snake felt his mouth drop open. "OhmyOsiris- I-I'm Snake!" He exclaimed.

"Snake! Hi! This is unexpected..." Ash smiled.

"It really is! Ohmygoodness," Snake agreed. Don't lose your stupid head, idiot.

"Hi, Snake! Also, yeah, I don't know how to feel," Zo said.

Ash screeched quietly. "How do you do languageee!?"

Snake stuffed his hands into his baggy maroon jacket. "I-I don't bloody know!" He exclaimed.

"Language is hard," Zo agreed as Ash made small inhuman noises under her breath and Snake pulled a sketchbook from his backpack. Zo pulled her hoodie over her head. "This is so unexpected, I have no idea what to do."

Ash put her hands in the pockets of her red jacket. "Nor me! Are you with anyone, Snake?"

Snake had opened his sketchbook, frantically flipping the pages. "Whereisit-" he mumbled, then noticed the question. "Oh! Uhm..."

"Whatcha looking for, Snake?"

"I kinda snuck over here. Here!" He opened up to a page full of small sketches, showing it to the others.

"Me, too. Kind of. I told my mum that I was going to a sleepover...." Ash laughed nervously.

"Oh, my friends are all here... somewhere. They left me as soon as we walked in." Zo said.

"I didn't tell anyone. My friend just lent me a drive," Snake smiled. Well, if you could call him my friend.

"My friends are here somewhere, but I lost them." Ash glanced at the sketchbook page. "Ooh!"

"From there, I biked over." Snake smiled.

Zo moved her hair from her eyes. "OHHH that's so good! Your sketches are cool!" She exclaimed.

"Th-Thanks!" Snake exclaimed, flipping the page over. The picture had the word 'Hermittpad' scribbled in Snake's bad handwriting on top, then some 20- 30 basic human sketches with small names over their heads.

Ash leaned in. "Those are so awesome!"

Zo's eyes widened. "WOW! That's so cool!"

Snake turned red as a tomato. "Thanks!"

"I would show you some of my stuff, but..." She held up a neon pink folder from her bag. "...I don't even have a sketchpad."

Snake raised his eyebrows. "That's okay! One moment-" He quickly grabbed a small notepad from the stall next to them, putting payment in it's place."Here!"

"Oh no. Don't you dare buy stuff for me." Ash smiled, snatching up the money and handing it back to him. "But thank you!"

Zo looked at the large assortment of notebooks. "They all look so good!" She said in wonder.

"Nonono!" Snake said. "Have it, Ash! I brought too much money to spend tonight."

Ash looked at Snake. "aahH people buying stuff for me- Okay, fine."

Snake pulled out around 20 more dollars from one of the many pockets in his outfit. "Gosh, I could by all of Hermittpad notebooks if I wanted to!" he laughed.

Zo laughed exitedly. "Maybe we can go around this thing as a group! Since going around isn't any fun."

"Sure! Where to?" Snake smiled, stuffing the money into his pocket.

"Yeah, that sounds awesome! And better to have friends with," Ash agreed.

"YAY! And maybe we can get food? They have stalls over there!" Zo pointed to the area with the food stalls.

Snake smiled. "The waffles are great!"

"Let's go there, then! Food is always a great place to start!" Ash said.

Zo started smiling like an idiot. "LET'S GO! I haven't eaten all day!"

"It is!" Snake laughed, taking the two's hands and diving into the crowd. "FOLLOW MY LEAD!"

"Same! Y'know this convention just got a whole lot better!" Ash laughed as she ran after him, Zo following close after.
