Never Ever Ever (Pt. 2)

Mumbo watched as Grian flew off. He had three questions on his mind: 1. How and why did Grian have Mumbo's spare suit? 2. What did he need it for? 3. Where the heck was he going with it?

Mumbo sighed. He may never know the whereabouts of his friend, but it still made him think. At that moment, his phone buzzed. It was Cub.

[Hey, you know where Scar is? He's missing from bed]

Mumbo chuckled. Guess more than one hermit was missing.

    {I dunno. Same w/ G}

Mumbo stood outside of ConCorp. Now that he thought of it, he'd only been here once, when Sahara wasn't even built.

He walked up to the gates, keeping a bit away from Wolololo. He took out his phone, texting Cub again.

  {I'm here. @ the gates}

It was around 10:15 pm when Cub walked out. He had a light sweater on, not his lab coat. He nodded at Mumbo. "Let's meet at Sahara; it's by spawn, and knowing the guys, they'll be near there." Mumbo smiled and shot off into the sky.

When Mumbo stumbled onto the large gray wall next to the large building, Cub was already on his hands and knees, inspecting the floor. He looked up at Mumbo, and motioned him to his side. "Look at that," he said, pointing at a dark splotch on the concrete. "You know what that is?"

"...No?" Mumbo replied. "It's probably just a color mistake, the colored concrete machine out back doesn't distribute color very well right now."

Cub raised an eyebrow. "But wasn't this built before that machine was even thought of?"

Mumbo's eyes widened. "Y-yes, but this is months old! That mark is of no use now!"

Cub swiped his finger on the stain, leaving a gray mark. He sniffed it, and said, "Top Gunpowder." He looked up at Mumbo. "This is fresh. Maybe even tonight." Mumbo tilted his head. "I mean that this is new! Someone was here!" Cub exclaimed, jumping up. "Let's go and look around!" He called, running and flying off. Mumbo flew off, a bit more clumsily than the other.

The two flew around for quite a bit, until Mumbo saw something on the Statue of Hermity. He flew faster, catching up with Cub, telling him to slow down. "Cub, I saw something near the statue. Let's go check it out," he called over the firing rockets.

Cub nodded, landing on the arm of the monument. "We'll tower up from here. Take a block that's easier and quieter to break, so we can make an escape unnoticed." He then proceeded to pull out some diamond blocks. When he saw Mumbo's Baffled face, he laughed, handing him some lapis blocks, being the rich man he was.

The two stared towering, not ready for the sight they were about to see.

And that's it for now! It's 12 am and I'm NOT SLEEPING! I'm just reading the D&D Player's Handbook and writing this! Bye for now, little Snakes!
